Today, Arcadio worked his magic yet again! This time it was the replacement of my two toilet water shutoffs (knobs and hoses), called angle-stops. When I was shutting off my toilet water flow for cleaning my toilet, the shutoff knob had come off in my hand, since the screw in it had disintegrated from our lovely calcium-riddled San Diego water. So I called Arcadio to come to my rescue. When he got here, I asked him if he could replace the knobs in my second bathroom, too, if he had the time before his next appointment. He recommended replacing the hose, not just the knob, since it was almost 15 years old. I'm not one to resist some logical preventive maintenance, so I decided I wanted Arcadio to do the first knob and hose and then, if he had time, do the second set. Of course, it's Sunday night and the drain clogs! Water backing up in the shower. They quoted and hour and $150 emergency fee plus service cost. The emergency fee is a bit high, but wife was freaking out, so we did it. In 1/2 hour Olivo came and cleared the clog in less than an hour. He told me it would be $150 for snaking a long (150 feet) stretch of drain. $300 total. Seems to be working fine now. read more

Arcadia at Careplus plumbing was a lifesaver. It was 5 PM on a Sunday and all of a sudden we had no water pressure. We called about 20 plumbers but no one was available until Arcadia returned our call. He came out at 6 PM and spent three hours trying to restore our water. He needed to flush out all of our faucets and sinks so wasn't able to finish that night. However, he made sure we had one complete working bathroom before he left. He came back the next morning and completed the job. He did a great job of diagnosing the problem and completing all the necessary repairs. Two weeks later I had a problem in that my ice machine was not working. He didn't think it was a result of his work but he came out anyway to investigate. The water valve under my kitchen sink had been turned off by the reverse osmosis repair man. Arcadia turned it back on and didn't charge me for the service call. I hired 3 company to do the job Pricing is very reasonable with Yelp offer. 1. A five star rated company (Yogi) came in with a set price of 85$ to unplugged the drain but they charged 25$ for trip fee since I live away from their service area. 2. A plumber came in, diagnose incorrectly and suggest us to cut the pipe so that it fix the problem long-term. But the problem isn't at that place, it's somewhere down the main drainage. He insist to charge 300$, but seeing my hesitation, he reduced the charge to 250$. 3. CarePlus charged 95$ but with Yelp coupons, I paid total 65$ out of pocket. Expecting this is as low as a plumbing service you can get. Responsiveness: Looks like plumbers are extremely busy and they don't want your business. Yogi: didn't get back to me to schedule the appointment on my first time. I had to call again. (That's I'm already a customer of their company and they did a service for me just 2 days ago). Plumber: he claimed that his phone out of battery and so let us wait the whole day for his call. CarePlus: Tried first time on late Sunday. Got scheduled for Monday. Service: Great! Guy come on time, he unplugged from clean-out outside, so no cutting or whatsoever is required. Would I use it again? Yes - definitely. read more

(50% less than other quotes and no need to cut tile and wall as I'd been told before.) He also knows what his niche is in plumbing and what it isn't. When I asked him about re-pipe of a problem area (galvanized pipe electrolysis), he said that although he could do the job, he recommended it would be cheaper to use a re-pipe company whose flyer I had. He said they specialize and only do repipe. This would be better for me in price and time. Yelp has a $20 discount he provided me with when I asked about senior or first time customer or cash discount. A contractor was unable to install a brand new washer from Lowe's due to a corroded water faucet. I had called 3 separate plumbing companies and was advised that I would have to wait till Monday or pay time and a half to have someone come out on the weekend. The representative asked more questions about the type of faucet and its location (other companies did not). He advised me that a plumber could be at my house in 10 minutes.
