I am so happy we went with California Solar Systems. Our installation from Jose P. and the crew was flawless. They are very professional and knowledgeable about the best way to place the panels for your house. They even went above and beyond and spent an extra few hours (which they do not get paid extra for!) to make sure it looked the best it could. My house was a little more difficult because the electric box had to be placed on the complete opposite side of the solar panels. They did everything they could to not have any conduit showing on the roof but unfortunately because of a fire wall it was inevitable. They only had to show a small area on the very back of my house but they got paint and paint matched my house so you can't even tell it's there! Highly recommended! I am very unhappy with California Solar System because: 1. Installers provided husband & I with inaccurate information. 2. They listed wrong e-mail & we didn't receive updated appointment information. 3. Representative, Maritza, is not well informed & provided me with wrong information. 4. Maritza stated all delays were PG&E's fault & because of PG&E's delay we were not receiving solar energy credits, PG&E was keeping the credits. 5. Maritza stated that the delay in processing our application was due to PG&E being closed for 2-weeks in late December due to Holidays. 6. California Solar System sent a document to PG&E with my signature dated 1/9/18 & of which I DID NOT sign or date 1/9/18. ALL DOCUMENTS WERE SIGNED 11/8/17. This is very underhanded. Today 1/19/18, I called California Solar System office because my PG&E bill did not reflect a decrease & I did not receive e-mails from their company as they informed us we would. (They listed the wrong e-mail.) I spoke with a lady named Maritza. When I gave Maritza my account #, she misinformed me that our system was working & saving energy as of 12/15/17, which is also what the installers said. She stated that our PG&E bill reflected the changes beginning 12/15/17. I informed her that I received the PG&E bill & it did not reflect solar system use. I had to ask her to look at my account & check again. She said we were connected as of 12/15/17. She said her company processed the paperwork timely & said PG&E's had not processed the paperwork, that maybe they would process it by next week Monday, 1/22/18. She said PG&E closed their office for the last 2-weeks of December for the holidays & this is probably why our application had not been processed. I asked her since my system is working, does that mean PG&E is collecting my energy? She said yes. She said they will not retro-actively provide me with solar credit until they process the application. After the application is processed then I will start receiving solar credits on the date processed & no sooner. So I said, PG&E collects my energy & I loose out for over a month? She said yes. She said I will be loosing out on solar energy credit until PG&E processes my application. I told her it didn't seem right. She said that's the way it is. Additionally, I told her that I knew PG&E did not close their office the last 2-weeks of December because my sister works for PG&E & my sister worked those days. Maritza then said that the PG&E Solar Dept. closed for 2-weeks & for those 2-weeks, nothing was processed. Maritza blamed PG&E for all delays. My husband and I signed paperwork with California Solar Systems on 11/8/2017, they came & installed the panels on 12/15/17. They informed my husband & I that we were connected to PG&E & an inspection would occur within two days as a formality & that our system was already working & saving energy. The inspection was to occur Monday morning, 8:30, 12/18/17. On 12/18/17, my husband waited for them all day & they did not show up or call. When we called them on 12/18/17, it must have been their lunch hour because the phone was not answered & we left a message. They did not return our call so my husband called the installers & sales representative. They said someone would get back to us. When they got back to us, they said it was not necessary for an inspection. Well, as I was leaving to a doctor's appointment, the inspector showed up unexpectedly on 12/21/17. When I called their office, the lady that I spoke with said she forgot to let us know the date had been changed. She said she had the day off on Friday 12/15 & someone should have called me. She returned to work on Monday 12/18/17, the day of the inspection. I asked why hadn't she called on Monday 12/18 to say the date changed. She said someone else was supposed to call us on Friday 12/15. On 12/21 she said not to leave my house because they needed to complete the inspection. I informed her that I left & informed the guy that he showed up without an appointment & I had to leave. Today, 1/19/18 when I spoke with PG&E, I realized that Maritza of California Solar System provided me with inaccurate information. According to PG&E we will be operable sometime in February, but no later than 2/22/18, which is over 3 months from date of signature and different from the date of 12/15/17 that was provided by Maritza. PG&E stated California Solar System provided our application to them on 1/9/18 and it has my handwritten signature on it with that date. I DID NOT SIGN anything after 11/8/17 and a California Solar System representative did not come to my house to obtain my signature on 1/9/18; so someone changed the dates or signed on my behalf with a new date of which I did not authorize. PG&E representative stated California Solar System should be aware as to how long it takes to process paperwork from the day they send the application. PG&E also stated they did not close for 2-weeks in December. read more

I have written in the past: "This company, (and in fairness other solar companies) are a nuisance. I would not do business with them due to the simple fact that they violate the FCC's do not call list. Should they call me again, I will cuss 'em out yet again." Today 1/30/2015 I received the following email from yelp: "Hi Sotirios, We wanted to let you know that we've removed your review of California Solar Systems. Our Support team has determined that it falls outside our Content Guidelines (http://www.yelp.com/guidelines) because it lacks a firsthand customer experience." We hope you will continue to participate on Yelp, while keeping in mind our Content Guidelines. With all due respect to yelp, I will say that you are mistaken and unfair. I do have firsthand customer experience with them. It should be noted that it appears that yelp has removed all negative reviews of this company. I went through great lengths to track them down, for they are calling from behind computers from non existent numbers, and are dishonest when confronted with evidence that heir company is in fact the one hiding behind the telemarketers. When I finally was able to call them their employees and managers were extremely rude and would not drop me off their calling list. I have personally dealt with their service representative at my residence. read more

Had solar panels installed today by Jose and his co-workers. They came in this morning all the way from Fresno, CA with great attitudes and never seemed to dislike their job. 20 panels were installed in a matter of hours, I basically went to work and less than 8 hours later the job was complete and from what I can tell all workers had good attitudes. At the end of the job, Jose explained the system to me in detail and I thank him for that extra detail. Jose went to explain that there was a cleaning service the company performs and that it is available to me if I wanted it.
