Came here several weeks ago. It was a Monday night. The parking lot was almost full. We stopped by for a drink. The bar was real chill. It's spacious. They have several tvs. I think it is 2 pool tables and about 4 dartboards. Customer service was great. The bartenders were real cool. It was a woman and a younger guy working. They also have free popcorn at the bar. Met a couple people and had a great conversation with one of them. He was a local. Bought us a few drinks and the drinks were good. No complaints. $1 Fee for using a credit card! The bartender said it was on the wall but she said $7.75 for my hazy IPA. Once I saw it was $8.75 on my receipt, I asked about it and she said look at the wall. From where I was seated, with the dim lights, I couldn't even see the sign. It was my first time there and the bartender didn't mention the $1 credit card fee before charging me. Although she offered to give me a dollar back, I said it's fine and just left after closing out my beer tab. You need to let your customers know any time there are fees. A laminated piece of paper on your wall is not obvious enough in a dimly lit bar. Put those signs all over the bar, on tables, and train your staff to notify customers about the fee! read more

Hidden gem located in the corner of a small shopping center. Ice cold beer, clean and tidy which extends to the restrooms as well. Unheard of for a dive bar. Plenty of seating, they have pool tables, dartboards, popcorn as snacks and they have karaoke on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. It's almost always happy hour and the deals are fair. I had a mixed vibe here nothing negative at all the bar was clean enough seating and everybody was to themselves. This place is a local hangout for sure which is not bad but for somebody new to the spot was not really welcoming but also you didn't feel like running out quick. I had a bad experience with a waitress that came on. She over charged me and when I called her attention to it she said "well you've been drinking here all day". That was not true. I came in late, just for the football team/game. She went on to be aggressive repeating "well, what do you want me to do??". Just charge me the correct amount...but that was too hard. I told a manager to please charge me the correct amount. This waitress went on aggressive " so now you told on me! Great! now I'm in trouble!" Mind you, this was all at the bar table in front of everyone. No class waitress. Not worth it. read more

This place has the potential to be a great bar! They opened in 2020 right before the big Covid shutdown. We were greeted by the bartender who was friendly, they have a lot of options to drink for beers on tap. Pool tables. Been a fan of this local watering hole with an upscale vibe at working man's prices. Stopped in and noticed the new ultra comfy chairs and thought it would be good to share for others to know too. Was able to login to the free wifi on my laptop while having a cold one and working remotely. Great spot to grab a drink during the day or at night and enjoy the pool, darts, and karaoke. read more

I've been coming here since it finally opened last year and it's always been a great experience. I typically coming in on the weekend and Tawny is Amazing- she's real, knows her stuff and keeps the party going. The prices are very reasonable and the place is clean. They have Karaoke on Sunday nights and sometimes they have a vendor selling tacos. There is a laundromat next door in case you want to clean and drank. Plenty of tables so it's good for groups. read more

Cali's is the place to be if you like chill dive bars, pool, and karaoke. They've got a nice jukebox, lots of TVs for sports, clean pool tables and cues, and bathrooms are always available. Most importantly, the other patrons who frequent the bar are always super chill and friendly, along with the staff. Complimentary popcorn is nice too. Location is tucked away a bit from the main street like a well-kept secret. I'm glad to see them growing in popularity and doing well, even though it was also nice to be part of the "cool" bar in the area before it became super popular again lol. I used to live in the area, down the street from the bar and would frequent it at least once a week. Always super clean and a good time. Mark is my favorite bartender. Personable and really attentive with drinks. Never waited long on getting refills and even put up with my constant water refills too! Scotty is great as the karaoke DJ. Bro's got some pipes and sings all kinds of songs himself to really get the atmosphere and party going. Cali's is one of the places I'm really missing, although I was only a patron there for a short time. I will definitely be going back on future visits to California. Me and the family were down here visiting from the Bay Area . Hubby and I were tryna find a nice spot to watch the warriors game and stumbled upon this nice lil spot after coming from campus ( they don't serve hard liquor there and the vibes were a bit off ) . Place had nice TVs and the bartender and owner were amazing as well. Super friendly and attentive to say the least it was a nice vibe , clean spot as well! 10/10 will definitely be returning whenever we come back down! read more

This awesome dive bar is a happening hangout with a core group of extremely friendly locals and fun mix of explorers. After recent renovations, it looks a lot cleaner and more spacious. They even added one more day of what makes this bar amazing, karaoke. The crowd loves chatting, dancing, and singing. No matter how good (or bad) you are at singing, the audience will love you and support you when you step up to the mic. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for a nice place to relax after a hard day or week, especially if you want to finally sing that song you've been practicing in the showers. read more

Ok so this place is literally a ducked off in the back at a strip center. We arrived and got no greeting cause I mean it's a bar but we got no greeting while standing at the bar while the sitters casually carries on a 5 min conversation without so much of a glance in our direction. Drinks were priced decent the ambiance was nice even had pool tables. Popcorn is available for snacking and they let you bring in outside food or have something delivered. I love this bar! Sometimes you wanna go...where everybody knows your name. So this place is great. The owner John is homegrown and proud of his town - and why not?! What a wonderful community! Walk in here and you are greeted by multiple people - he has everything on the menu from whiskey to beer to bubbly (with a splash of OJ for color of course). Love this place! Clean, updated, friendly staff. A true hidden gem in cypress! If you want a great drink at a bar that's not depressing, this is your spot. The popcorn is delicious too. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. I can see why we used to come all the time as kids. Smoky and crispy. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately. I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.

I asked even if I make an open table reservation can I get sat. He proceeds to say. So I said no thanks and walk away. The last time this happened the manner did not care about either. You should do better and have better policies especially when you clearly don't have ANYONE sitting in the dining room and could easily accomadate guests instead of turning people away. Train your staff better

The owner John is a great guy, down to earth and enjoys talking with all his customers. Just re-opened after COVID on October 24th and newly renovated. This place has a great atmosphere and clean. Come and join the music, sing karaoke, play darts and shoot pool while having a drink or two and watch all sports on the several tv's located throughout the bar. So happy this place is re-opened. read more

Right after the final whistle of the MX game, all but 1 TV was replaced with a softball game and re-airing of the Nathan's hot dog eating contest. Like myself, many patrons were unhappy and said they'd go elsewhere to watch the rest of the tournament.

I am dinging this establishment one point due to not having an item listed on the menu. Either have Pepsi available or else update your menus please. The cheeseburger and the fries were quite good. I asked that there be no pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes and that request was honoured... good. I did ask for ketchup and mustard on the side and that was eventually brought though I had to ask for mustard a second time. A side of Mayonnaise that I did not ask for was also brought and when I got the bill I noticed that this establishment wanted to charge me 50 cents for the side I did not ask for. I made an issue of it and was refunded the 50 cents in the form of two quarters. Men's washroom was clean and paper towels were available... good. After I paid and left the establishment I noticed a discrepancy between the menu price of 14$ for the burger and the price I was charged which was 15$. I am dinging this establishment one point for that discrepancy. I have a bone to pick with the personal appearance of the employees at this establishment. I noticed that at least three guys working at this establishment failed to tuck their shirts in. I consider that to be very unprofessional. I am dinging this establishment one point for not requiring the employees to tuck their shirts in. On a more positive note, I thought the service was very good in that an employee checked up on me frequently and kept my "wooder" topped up. So I am adding a point back for the superior service. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school this establishment would be in there solid with a C.
