Much needed refreshments, especially during the summer. Staff were friendly and quick - another member jumped in to take orders as soon as they saw additional customers waiting in line. The smoothies were made with fresh ingredients and the boba in both the smoothie and milk tea had the perfect texture - not too hard even after being mixed with the drinks. We got here shortly after 6 o'clock around 6:08 PM so we had just missed the buy one get one free, shaved, ice any size. But that's OK cause we like supporting businesses regardless. The few complaints we have is we didn't feel as though the syrup was, how do I put this cause you can't taste expired ones it just didn't taste fresh or maybe it was the ice cream either way my husband and I got stomach aches and the flavor wasn't as potent as we thought it would be. I also want to add it was a mess and we found a fly stuck on their croissant. The tables had stains and sugar left behind and the other table that was big enough for six people the owner took over and it was really messy and I just didn't feel comfortable there. The owner was just chilling out on the seats watching TV and even raised the volume up. We weren't happy customers overall. I would not come here and would just stick to hang loose in Glendale. I love the name! Their Hawaiian shaved ice is good but the shaved ice is not that fluffy compared to other shaved ice places I've had in California. I hesitated to write this review because I understand that business is slow and times are tough, but I believe customer service is especially important right now. I had been searching for a good shave ice spot in my area and came across this place after church. My son wanted shave ice, so we decided to stop by. The menu listed a medium for $6.50 and a large for $7.50. Since only my son was eating, I ordered a medium. The bald man, who I assume is the owner, asked, "Is that it? Just one shave ice?" Then he asked if we wanted ice cream with it. We said no. After he made the shave ice, I asked for condensed milk, and he handed me the bottle. I squeezed a very small amount on top, and that's when he told me it would be an extra dollar. I was surprised and asked why he didn't mention that beforehand. Instead of addressing my concern, he told me he hadn't even charged me an extra $1.50 for choosing three flavors, as if he was doing me a favor. He should have clarified any additional charges when I placed my order. Beyond that, his attitude was rude and moody, and he was sniffling the entire time, which made me uncomfortable. If he wasn't feeling well or didn't want to be there, he should have stayed home rather than giving customers bad service. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

We absolutely love this spot. First of all, it's run by the nicest family and the service here is always second to none. They're shaved ice is like the fluffiest snow you've ever tasted. We've never had a combination that we didn't like. You can get it with condensed milk, ice, cream, whipped cream, or none of the above. There's literally no wrong way to do it. Good place to get Hawaiian Shave Ice. Like in Hawaii, you can get ice cream on the bottom and sweet condensed milk on top. Many flavors to choose from. The only difference is that the ice wasn't as fine and soft as some we got in Hawaii. They also have donuts, acai bowls, sandwiches, and more! They are open at 330 am for you early birds and close at 8 pm. The only downside is that it is small inside, so if it's busy, it's hard to find a seat. I come from Fontana to get our little treat. read more

Customer service here is amazing. We were helped by a lady named Lucky and she was very friendly, efficient and professional. I was especially impressed by the way she handled a (seemingly) homeless customer. He was trying to order some ice cream but you couldn't exactly make out his order. (He was sort of mumbling so it wasn't clear). Anyway, Lucky was very understanding and asked him to repeat his order to make sure she got it right.
