Stumbled onto this café because me and my friends wanted to hang out and plan some stuff so I had this in the list and we checked it out! Food/drink: It was just okay! They did have some seasonal matcha drinks, but the drink didn't really leave an impression on me. I do think the cold foam overpowered the matcha, which made it slightly too milky. My friends also got a matcha drink and a coffee and they said it was alright as well. Service: Staff here was alright. I don't really remember anything memorable since they just took my order and called out my order. Ambiance: The place was pretty spacious and there was a lot of seating, but it does get pretty busy! Love how they have a bulletin of things that are going on for the month. Overall, nothing really stood out to me about this café and if someone wanted to try it or we were around the area, I would definitely give it another try.

Came by for some coffee. This is a very interesting store. They offer free coffee ground for customers for fertilizer. There were also local artist selling their arts. I had fun walking around the store while I was waiting for my coffee. There is also a wall with lots of post it notes on it. There were post it note and pens for customer to leave positivity/ encouragement for others! I love the idea! They also offered board games and guitar. I sense very chill vibes. I ordered from the Valentine's Day menu: red velvet mocha. It was not overly sweet, and still have a strong taste of coffee. Will be back again.

An awesome Independent Coffee shop with a pleasant vibe lots of big windows and friendly employees... Great coffee brand are from Stereoscope.... I had a latte and black coffee from drip.... Relaxed and hung out there for a couple of hours and had couple drinks and a vegan muffin.... The place wasn't as busy as I expected for such a nice spot but it started getting busier after about an hour.... Definitely would come by there again when I'm the area

I came on a weekend around 10:30am. There was only one printed out menu at the cashier so I had to awkwardly ask another customer if I could take a picture of it. There were several patrons sitting at tables. There are lots of games available which is cool! Apparently a back room as well but I didn't see it. I ordered the brown sugar and cinnamon latte with oatmilk and the vegan morning glory muffin. The star of the show was the muffin. I thought it would taste healthy since there were pumpkin (?) seeds on top but it ended up being like a carrot cake in muffin form with sugar crystals on top. Sooo good and very moist. The latte was great too. No complaints. Not overly sweet. Strong espresso - I got jitters after. And it's crushed ice! The only dock for the star was the organization system. The cashier said she would walk the drinks and food out to us when it was ready. But seemed to be a bit disorganized to do this. She got a couple orders mixed up and had to hunt around for the correct customer. I also noticed that I got my drink before someone who was already sat down. But maybe they had got up to re-order something and I hadn't noticed. Overall, a great coffee shop in downtown Azusa!

A cozy farmhouse interior design style coffee shop at downtown Azusa. Ample seating for small groups to hangout and drink their coffee. Light upbeat music playing in the background and kid friendly area. The staff is friendly and fast with their service. I ordered the Red Velvet Latte which was smooth, rich, creamy, and not too sweet. I loved the foam art design.

If you blink, you might miss this little hidden gem. I swear, I had never seen it before and drive up and down this street a lot. Last night, luckily, it all changed. Our Running Club met up here; after clocking in some miles and we stopped by this idyllic coffee N' Tea shop. A friendly person behind the counter. A nice little menu of coffees, teas and sweet treats. Super clean place! (It matters) Plenty of space to sit inside and along a wall full of little "things" to buy and gift. Every drink was prepared to order. A wall dedicated to positive "notes" and a corner to take nice pictures. First time and definitely not my last. Happy February everyone!

Was in the Azusa area and found this little gem! Such a cute spot and nice vibe! I ordered a lavender bean Matcha with oat milk and it was excellent! They use ceremonial grade Matcha. It wasn't too sweet and they used crushed ice which I love! Customer service was great! Go check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I had a wonderful experience at Pressed + Flower! I came by to work on my computer, and the space is perfect for solo work or studying. Lots of tables and areas to sit. I had two drinks while I was here, the berry matcha latte and black tea lemonade. Both were great! Not overly sweet and refreshing. The barista who helped me was super kind and helpful as it was my first time visiting.

I love this place!! I try to come whenever I'm passing through Azusa if I can make it before close. The baristas are always really friendly and always have great recommendations if I want to try something new. The coffee is always so good, and I love that they have so many flavor options. Another bonus is that they always have unique seasonal drinks that you won't always find at other coffee shops. I love when places experiment with flavor combinations. Their cookies are good as well. This is one of my favorite coffee shops that isn't too far from me.

Pressed + Flower is a cute coffee shop located in Azusa. There used to be another popular local coffee shop called Mantra Coffee & BnB just one block away, but it was closed so Pressed + Flower is the new local coffee shop in Azusa. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking in this part of the neighborhood. [Atmosphere]: There's one outdoor patio table. They have games like Connect 4 for anyone who wants to kill time and sell random accessories. [Menu]: Lavender Bee is Yelp's top recommended drink. A good portion of their drinks focus on fruity/floral flavors. Yes they offer ceremonial matcha drinks here. *** Lavender Bee (espresso, milk, honey, lavender - $6): It was actually a good cup of latte - good espresso-to-milk-to-honey-lavender ratio & tasted very balanced. *** A solid 4.5-star on the latte I had. Not a bad place to meet up with friends or go for a coffee date.

Dropped by here before a long day of work ahead. I was greeted with a smile and a pleasant ambiance as I was the first customer there that morning. With local places, I want to give me a piece of what makes them a local favorite, and they delivered! If I'm ever within a 10 minute drive, it would be worth taking a detour to get a quick caffeine fix

So I came here about 3-4 years ago and I did not enjoy the coffee at all. So I never came back UNTIL this past Saturday. I gave it one more chance and honestly I'm glad I did. The coffee was PERFECT not too bitter not too sweet. It was just what I want and their matcha has to be one of my faves in Azusa right now. I'm glad I gave it a second chance and thank you to Laura, her and her staff were so nice and lovely to talk to. Next time I'm planning to bring a book and relax here since the ambiance of the shop is so relax and laid back here

I'd already gotten into my GF chocolate cookie and half sweet oat milk cinnamon roll latte before I thought to take a picture.

How have I not reviewed Pressed + Flower? I love this place! Pressed + Flower is like a community center and an elevated coffee place and also comfortable and social, but they also have a little corridor in the back with a more quiet place where you can plug your computer in and work. Plus the coffee is really, really good. But they're also really nice, so on the rare occasions where I didn't love my coffee they've been absolutely wonderful about fixing it. And you can bring your dog (or cat) and sit on the quiet back patio or more social front outside table.

Employees there are very kind and seem to take an interest in everyone who walks in the door. Recently an incident occurred that I have nothing but respect for how the staff handled. A now former regular, who I will be keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, was banned from the store for openly racist remarks and verbally harassing staff. I was not personally present for it, but that is accurate to my experience with said person. They have repeatedly made racist and classist comments and have pretty heavy handedly push their ideological views to me. After banning said customer, they proceeded to threaten and harass the staff, from what I saw in regards to the banning, the manager Adam handled it with more respect and elegance than I believed necessary. Despite his tact, she took that as an opportunity to go on a tangent of excessive profanity and slurs. I think it's very telling about the type of people who work at Penny that they value maintaining a safe and welcoming environment even in the face of bullying and harassment. I've never felt more inclined to go to penny than I do now. Thank you guys for what you do and keep up the good work. You guys are rock stars fr!!

Over the years, I've spent…read morethousands of dollars here and have recommended the shop to many friends and others in the coffee community. Unfortunately, my experience with the shop changed because of repeated interactions with the store manager, Adam and the event that had just happened. I want the owners to be aware of concerns I have regarding the atmosphere created by management. On multiple occasions, I have heard Adam speak negatively about the owners and other baristas in front of customers. I have also experienced him bringing personal and political opinions into conversations while working, which I feel creates an uncomfortable/unprofessional environment. He works every Monday so I can't even sit on the only couch and drink my coffee in peace, he's always talking nonsense and forcing his personal opinions down my throat. He never stops talking, and if you try to share your opinion, he talks right over you. He has a veryyy hard time accepting viewpoints that differ from his own. He's honestly on some sort of power trip. The most concerning incident occurred recently when Adam yelled in my face while inside the coffee shop!! Then the other barista, David got involved with his encouragement during this interaction. They surrounded me and were trying to intimidate me together and at that time there were no other customers in the store, and when I tried to speak to them to tell them to stop yelling at me- they went at me harder to the point I had to literally run out of the shop bc I didn't feel safe there. It's the first time I have ever had two men corner me and yell at me- it was honestly traumatizing. After leaving, I informed David that I would never be returning. I believed that would be the end of the situation. However, David provided Adam with my personal phone number without my permission, and Adam contacted me by text after I had already left the store in an effort to intimidate me further. During that exchange, Adam also accused me of being racist. I found it completely inappropriate that my personal information was shared without my consent so that a workplace conflict could continue outside of the store. I also want to address an issue with David. Throughout my visits, you have repeatedly attempted to hug me or touch me when I came into the shop. Regardless of your intentions, this made me uncomfortable. Customers should not be touched without their consent. I also work in the business of customer service, and I understand the importance of professionalism. I would never speak negatively about my employer to customers, push personal or political views on people supporting my business, yell at a customer, or use a customer's personal information to continue a confrontation after they leave. It's disappointing because I did like this coffee shop and wanted to continue supporting it. However, my experiences with Adam and David traumatized me. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address them so other customers do not have similar experiences.

This coffee felt like dessert. (Quick Note: If you print a photo on a drink, it's not travel friendly. Staff recommends that printed photo beverages are enjoyed on site.) I arrived at Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) on a weekday (around 7:12AM). I quickly found parking in the business's customer parking lot. This coffee shop has poor visibility despite being a brisk drive from Azusa Pacific University. Staff (receipt says Stephanie) is professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Stephanie easily and respectfully answered all my questions. Stephanie also worked hard. My coffee took about six minutes. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Horchata Latte (Large - 20oz - $7.45 - 3 Shots of Espresso) with Pink Printed Photograph (additional $2) and Vanilla Cold Foam (extra $1.25). The top tasted like melted vanilla ice cream, and the coffee tasted clean & fresh despite the sugary aftertaste. This drink has POWER despite its prim, cutesy appearance. I felt my fingers jitter throughout the day as the sugar and THREE SHOTS of espresso slammed into me. YUM! On ambiance, Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) is very clean and adorable with its light pastel colors. There's about five tables and two counters. And there's a high chair for kids & a water station. Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) also has utility. This is a great, hidden spot to study. There's about five electrical outlets with big adapters for extra slots and USB ports. There's customer internet with password; there's also a QR code that customers can scan for internet information. Also, there's a gender neutral customer restroom just outside; customers must ask Staff for the restroom keys. The location is very clean and comfortable. We parked in the structure behind the restaurant. On weekends, parking is free for an indefinite amount of time. When we entered, we were greeted by the friendly staff and got a table by the window. The space is bright and filled with calming green accents and plants. The menu is simple and well curated. I briefly read some of the reviews while at the restaurant and they didn't lie, the crispy pork belly is a must. We ordered the Chili Oil Toast which comes with pork belly and avocado. If you're into numbing spice and a lot of chili oil, this dish is definitely for you. My tolerance is pretty weak, but the flavor is amazing! The house-made bread was extra crispy and delicious, but the pork belly... you'll just need to try it for yourself! My favorite was the Breakfast Burrito. This item was healthy and easy to eat. The egg was fluffy, the avocado was fresh, the turkey bacon added the perfect amount of salt, and the sweet potato balanced the salt. For the drinks, the Spanish Latte (hot) was a clear winner. We were given only one plate. We were only charged for one, but because I was paying for four people and the total was already high, I didn't catch the mistake at checkout. Rather than make my 89-year-old father wait while everyone else ate, my mother split her plate with him. Then we realized they had prepared the eggs incorrectly. We ordered over-medium eggs specifically because my father loves the runny yolk. They served them over-well. He didn't realize the mistake until he had eaten much of the egg white and cut into the yolk. I told the server, and she initially said they would replace the eggs. Then she returned and told us they needed to TAKE THE HALF-EATEN EGGS BACK FROM HIS PLATE before they would give him the eggs we originally ordered. I was stunned. My father had already eaten much of the egg white. The remaining egg was sitting on top of the chilaquiles and beans he was eating. They wanted my 89-year-old father to remove the half-eaten remnants of their incorrectly prepared egg and hand them back before they would replace it with what we had ordered in the first place. I explained that the error was theirs, that we had not received what we ordered, and that my father had already eaten part of the egg before discovering the yolk was completely cooked through. The server still refused to replace the eggs unless we surrendered the half-eaten ones. What exactly were they planning to do with a partially eaten egg from a customer's plate other than throw it in the trash? That interaction was so petty, unsanitary-feeling, and inhospitable that it overshadowed the entire meal. The coffee didn't help. It was lukewarm and extremely bitter. Then there is the tipping system. You pay and are prompted for a tip before receiving your food or experiencing any service. We carried our own drinks to the table and got our own water. After the missing order, incorrectly prepared food, and argument over surrendering a half-eaten egg, I genuinely wondered what I had tipped for. Ringing up the order? Mistakes happen in restaurants. A missing plate or incorrectly cooked egg would not have prompted me to write this review. It was the way the mistake was handled. When your restaurant makes an error, replace the food. Don't argue with a customer over a half-eaten egg, especially while an 84-year-old woman is sharing her meal with her 89-year-old husband because his order was never placed (though requested). It was one fiasco after another. We will never return.
