The Tacos are trash and lack real flavor The Flautas are bland and so are the rice and beans. Everything lacked real authentic flavor. Ever since I moved from California, I've been on the hunt for a good spot -- and Cali Taco has been it for me! The first time I tried their burrito, it was so good even though it was falling apart a bit, but I didn't mind because the flavor made up for it. I went back a second time and the burrito was just as good! I also tried the nachos -- bomb! Super loaded and flavorful. The asada fries were fire too -- just like back home in Cali. This is definitely my go-to when I'm craving that real Cali-style Mexican food. If you're in Buckeye and missing that West Coast flavor, definitely check them out! read more

I'm working down the street for the next few months and saw this place. Being that I live in California I was very suspect of a place using the "mecca of Mexican food" as their name so I had to try. Let me just say they did not disappoint. These tacos reminded me of home. So much so that I visit it for lunch at least once a week. Their meats all taste fabulous and the guacamole on top is what completes it for me. That is authentic and worth the drive over to their restaurant. I have not been inside the restaurant to comment on the ambiance, but their drive thru is fast and service is great. Everyone is friendly and they provide you with plenty of salsa and radishes if you ask. I definitely recommend this place and can confirm they are allowed to use Cali in their name :). I love coming here for the $7.99 special. Three tacos, rice, beans and a medium drink. You can't really beat that price. The staff is always really friendly and the place is nice and clean. The asada tacos are good, as well as the cabeza one. The only complaint was the tortilla. It was super stiff and dry. Don't get me wrong I love onions but it almost felt like they over powered the entire thing. I will still continue to come here though. You CANNOT beat that special. read more

Definitely not 4 stars here. The reviews are inflated. I had the birria tacos, rice and horchata. Wife had the Cali nacho plate. The beef was low grade and mostly fat. Taco was nothing worth 4 stars. My wife gave the nachos 3 stars too. A lot of beans and a few scattered tortilla chips at the bottom. My son had the basic nuggets and fries which looked like they purchased from Costco and microwaved. To top it off this area is sketchy af. Random homeless wandering in and out possibly dropping dope. We thought we would give this place a try since we were homesick for a truly good Mexican meal. We checked the reviews they were decent. The food was good but I have to go back to try something else. Maybe something that's a signature dish for them. The only problem I had was the servings were so small. I mean maybe 4 bites each of beans and rice. I was still hungry when I left there. I'll try again and see if it's a place worth adding to MY menu. The place was clean. Kind of trying to be a restaurant but set up like a fast food place. No table service. Order and pickup at the counter. The story of this place is painted on the wall...that was interesting to read how they started. Hard work. They do not know how to take orders. Even if you go over the order 4 times and say no onions and no guacamole, they will still put alot on it. You can call so they can fix the order and will be argumentative with you and speak to you like you are a child. read more

The customer service is very very poor! I asked if I could get flats before ordering and was told yes! When I got my food there was two flats in my order! Not to mention the chicken was half cooked!
