They are fast, efficient, and the hygienists and dentists are all very kind. However what puts them above and beyond is what they did for my wife who also goes here - she had horrible dental experiences as a child and it is remarkable how little she fears getting work done by Dr. Vasilakis and her team. They are very understanding and supportive such that despite having to wait for insurance reimbursement (I do not blame them for this insurance companies are bastards) I don't think I'll go anywhere else.

I have never encountered such dismissive behavior, the front desk person was not making eye contact and looked directly at the computer, gave inaccurate information, and then would speak to her coworker in her native language (which I don't mind the language but I do mind the attitude). I speak 2 other languages two, and when you do that you are more likely than now saying something about the situation to the other person. Overall, wouldn't recommend it. There is no shortage of dentists in Boston, let along Beacon street. Courtesy and professionalism go a long way, and if the front desk staff is lacking that, I can't imagine the dentists who hired them will be any better of a reflection.

I was told that one of my front teeth was going to fall out at some point and that I should proactively have the tooth pulled and get an implant which cost several thousand dollars. They strongly encouraged me to get this done sooner than later, even though the tooth showed no discoloration or signs of movement. When I started at my new dentist and xrays were taken, they shared that there was absolutely no concern about the tooth falling out or needed to be replaced. In looking back at some other procedures I was also told to do by this office, I would not trust them.

Brachowicz at her Belmont office (another $200) that the tooth now had to be removed. And while that news was stunning...when I was told I should have deep scaling done TODAY, I about lost my grip. Even when sharing my Xray results, he only talked to the assistant and never directly told me the assessment and plan. He overdiagnosed me and insisted that I get procedures for all cavities, which turned out to be a scam as I got a second opinion from another dentist. He totally skipped the cleaning part of the checkup but billed my insurance for it. When asked to share the Xray with the other dentist office, Dentistar requested a 50 dollar release of information fee. Please save your time, take extra 5 minutes of your time to go to another office. This man should not be a medical provider. It is providers like Dr. Cho that make American healthcare a joke.

When I reached the office's voicemail at 16:50 on a Friday, I left a message requesting a return call. Since the following Monday was a holiday, I didn't expect to hear back until Tuesday. When I didn't, I called and reached a young woman who asked me if I was hoping to make the appointment for myself. Dr. Hanna only treats children, she informed me. However, MassHealth's dental directory search data lists him as a general dentist who works with patients aged 18 to 65. In my experience, dentists who treat adults also see pediatric patients, with the only exception to this being children who need to be sedated during treatment. She made no mention of having received a voicemail from me that she hadn't gotten around to replying to. I made sure to tell her to have MassHealth correct its directory data. The receptionist's Spanish accent and use of "aks" instead of "ask" made it seem like she might be an imposter, part of a group who stalk and harass me, preventing me from getting medical and dental care, being treated fairly in job interviews, etc. They intercept my calls to businesses and have their overly-regionally-dialected or unusually-surly people give incorrect information to ensure that I can't get whatever service I'm in need of. If you know who they are, please let me know. But, you may also want to avoid Dr. Hanna because his office staff doesn't return calls from prospective patients, and he may only perform pediatric dentistry. Also, a Yelp ad for a Dorchester office location he supposedly practices from was missing a comma that should have been placed after the D.D.S. suffix.
