Once it goes to underwriting, if anything pops up in your driving record, DOT profile, or business info, that quote can change depending on what the underwriters find. They lure you in with below-market prices, but once you've made a down payment, they hit you with a much higher price. They keep you uninformed to make it easier to exploit you. Their communication is ambiguous, and they continuously lie. If you find their prices to be lower, carefully check the conditions, as they often provide false information to insurance companies. This can give them a reason to deny your claim in the event of an accident since the initial pricing was based on incorrect information. Do yourself a favor and cross them off your list. They have poor customer service, their agents are the worst i have ever came across.. i am glad that i did not have claims during policy otherwise they are the worst company i had to literally beg for my certificate of insurance and Loss Run Report . They canceled my insurance without any prior notice.. You won't believe how they are responding me over the emails . I am sharing one of the most polite email from them.. If you still want to buy their insurance just try to call their customer service agent .. and then try their sales dept. Customer service dept will let you wait for hours and no response back and sales dept will pick your call within a minute and try to be the nicest person of the world.. Classic bait and switch! Stay away from this company! I called Patty Insurance and spoke with Yohanna for a quote for commercial insurance for my cargo van. The quote I received was $2650 down and 10 payments of $598. I agreed to the numbers and gave her my credit card info. She told me that she could "expedite the process" and have everything completed in a week and that she would reach out to me then. Over the next couple of days I reached out to her via text message with some questions I had and she was very responsive. A day later my credit card gets charged for the down payment and that when things change. The week goes by and no word from Yohanna. I give her about 3 extra days and still no contact, so I than decided to send her a couple text messages but still no response. I was finally able to reach her after repeated calls and she told me that she was waiting on the carrier to get back to her with more information. After a couple more days of waiting she calls me back and gives me a whole new quote! It was almost double! I told her I did want to move forward and to refund my money asap. She told me that it would take 10-15 days. 15 days go by and no refund! I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges and my money was refunded. There are some good brokers and and bad but Patty Moreno is the worst, she was unprofessional and arrogant towards my boyfriend. She made an attempt to rip off my boyfriend. They don't tell you they charge for things until after you complete them. For instance no other brokers charge for "additional insured" but this company will rip you off. They will not tell you when you request for it that they charge for additional insured. They will add then provide you certificate and then try to collect. Stay away from this broker Patty Moreno. After two months they cancel policy (You was never insured ?!?!?!!) and as a reason tell me I have not A class DL. The tru is they never pay to insurance company down payment. This company is a fraud and a scam. DO NOT USE them by ALL means. Karina Gavela was super friendly when I first got my commercial auto and workers compensation policy. When I needed to add additional policies, she calls back right away. However, when I needed any type of servicing, such as a Certificate of Insurance to provide my company, she will say, I will get it to you ASAP. Days and weeks gone by and nothing and I keep following up and low and behold, my policy was cancelled because it was not accepted by underwriting. However, she took and charged my credit card payment and I've been trying to get a refund from them for since January, 2020 and have still not received it. Since May, I have cancelled ALL my policies with them however, they still charged me for 3 months of insurance when the effective cancellation date was Feb 2020. I have filed a complaint with the California Department of insurance. I Also called to cancel my insurance on one of my commercial trucks and never received a call back or an email. Poor customer service! Stay away and find someone else! These people should be shamed. read more

I was paying $300 for car insurance and they found me a plan, with equal coverage, for $140. I have been debating leaving a review for this company because I knew it would be negative if I did. I have had a very poor experience there. We just opened a trucking company. We were in the process of hiring a driver to drive one of the trucks. We forwarded the drivers license over to the company along with a driving record. We were told by Azuay and Rafael that this individual was good to hire. So we hired him and told them to add him on the insurance. They said he was good go and on the insurance as of Friday. So Friday came and we sent him on his first run. Three days later we received a call from Azuay saying they could not add him to our insurance. We were shocked as he was in a different state. We were told by Rafael to "be careful driving until he could be added." I immediately called our driver and told him to get to the nearest truck stop and park and dont drive anymore until we could get him covered. We were informed it would take at least until Tuesday to get new insurance. Fast forward to Tuesday. Still no insurance. My business partner had to fly out during the COVID outbreak to drive the truck back as he was covered on the insurance. The employee is scared of flying so we paid for a car and hotel for him. All the while Rafael told us this was our fault because we should have known he could not be covered because he only had 2 years of experience and our specific policy required 5 years. While yes there is some truth to that. However when we sent over all information and ask the insurance company to find out if he is cover-able I believe they have a responsibility to do their due diligence. No responsibility was taken by the insurance. They refused to help with any expenses to get the driver home, and charged us another commission for the new policy which Didn't take effect until Friday. Unfortunately in the trucking world it looks bad on your record to change insurances within a year so we are literally stuck with them for 1 year to avoid a rate hike. read more
