PorchLight did an awesome job with selling our home. We partnered with Ben Ellefson and Crystal…read moreQuintanilla; both were very quick to respond and always went the extra mile to manage and coordinate our listing. Our family had already purchased another home out of state (MT) and were moving before the sale of our house in CO. We worked with Ben to make sure everything was left as needed before the move, to avoid issues before the house went on the market. Ben walked us through the process and helped create a "ToDo" list. Because of his hard work and attention to detail, we were able to move out and let Ben do his thing. Ben coordinated and managed (FREE OF CHARGE) an official square footage measurement of the home, (which resulted in finding an additional 55 square feet that lowered the overall price per square foot), Daytime and Golden Hour photos (huge selling point advantage, golden hour photos made the sale!), and brought in an interior design to set up paintings and furniture throughout the home. The house looked so good, I joked about buying it myself haha. I have never worked with a realtor firm that did soooo much, free of charge, to sell a house. The house received 5 offers on the first day listed and we were under contact that evening. We were not totally sure which offer to accept, but through working with Ben and the research that he did with each offeror, we were able to make an educated decision. The house sale closed 30 days later, above market value! Had we not went with PorchLight, I don't think things would have went as smoothly or sold above market. They made the house look great.

If you're looking for a real estate agent who's your ride or die, Jon DeVries is the guy…read more Our family has now worked with Jon three times over. He helped my sister and her family move, he found my parents a rental, and he helped my husband and me find the perfect house, negotiate it, and make sure every last detail was handled all the way to closing. That kind of repeat business says everything. Working with Jon is just easy. He and his team make the whole process seamless, and he's been nothing but a pleasure to work with: delightful, always well informed, and genuinely easy to talk to. I highly, highly recommend him.

Tim Aberle, Thrive Real Estate Group We went under contract…read morethe first weekend and sold above asking price. That's the short version. Here's what actually made it happen. Tim's read on the market was precise. His pricing recommendation gave us confidence going in, and the results validated it. He also identified a targeted set of minor repairs before listing that made a real difference in how the home showed, and he had strong marketing visibility in place early, which drove serious buyer attention from day one. What impressed us most came after we were under contract. The inspection surfaced repair issues that needed resolution, and that part of the process was genuinely stressful. Tim stepped in, sourced contractors, guided the negotiation, and kept things moving with a responsiveness that made a complicated situation feel manageable. Both sides walked away satisfied. If you want an agent who reads the market accurately, prepares you before you list, and holds the deal together when it gets hard, Tim is the right person.

They promised rental credits over the phone to replace the mattress and give a rent credit for the week I couldn't be home except to check on my therapy pets. I have several videos and pictures of the entire room that was damaged and it took them almost a week to fix the sky hole they jackhammered into my roof after promising an hour earlier that I was safe and nothing would happen after I expressed extreme concern that the building felt very unstable as if in an earthquake. I now do not want to live here at all, but have to look for a new place nearby while suffering with the disturbances, trauma and incompetence. They've also shut the water off several times since I've lived here as well and the entire building honestly should be condemned but slu.lords somehow get away with treating tenants like this! All I can say is it's not worth $995/month to just be stressed out and worry what will go wrong next and who will keep invading what was supposed to be my safe space!

I had an extremely negative experience working with a broker at this firm, Courtney M., and would…read morestrongly caution others--especially first-time homebuyers--before choosing to work with her. From the beginning, I felt intense pressure to move forward with purchasing a home (I wasn't even sure I wanted to at that time), and with a purchase that did not align with my needs, budget, or preferences. I was encouraged to consider a home in a city I had never been to previously, priced roughly $150,000 above what I was comfortable spending. Despite clearly expressing hesitation and lack of interest, I felt repeatedly pushed and pressured into proceeding and closing on a home. The property itself raised serious concerns. It had been purchased new for $324,000 (I realized this after purchase) and was listed just eight months later for $450,000! I was encouraged to offer even more by said broker. I didn't because that was already way more than I wanted to do. After closing, the estimated value dropped immediately to around $399,000-$400,000 and has never supported the price I paid. As a result, I have been consistently $50,000 underwater (currently $60,000 underwater) on my mortgage since the day I bought it. I believe the appraised value was never correct and was fraudulently given to obtain higher commissions. I also felt uncomfortable with how the transaction was structured, as I was steered toward using specific affiliated professionals (including the lender and appraiser), which made me question whether I had received objective guidance. Overall, I feel that my inexperience as a first-time buyer was not protected but instead extremely taken advantage of. This purchase has had significant long-term financial consequences in addition to severe mental and emotional damage. This experience has been incredibly stressful and a difficult situation to deal with. Anyway, I look at it, I'm at a significant financial loss. I've never felt so financially fuc*ed by someone in my life. I cannot recommend this firm based on my experience and would urge others to proceed with extreme caution.

Apparently, business must be good for them, but we ended up taking our business elsewhere - a reputable company made up of professional realtors. Since they gave up on us, we gave up on the fly-by-night pompous folks at Madison & Company that were obviously only doing the broker thing as a part time side gig.
