My husband, Matt, and I moved to Platt Park in May 2019 and fell in love with the neighborhood. We love the walkability, the "neighborhood feel," and the close proximity to parks, restaurants, and bars. We realized shortly after our move to Platt Park that we wanted to put down roots in the neighborhood and reached out to Dan in late-October to start the house hunting process. I used Porchlight to represent me while purchasing in Boulder, CO. I originally picked Porchlight Real Estate Group through personal reference for somebody I trust and that has also purchased in Boulder, CO recently. Todd Gogulski represented me through this purchase. My experience lasted approximately four months from my first consultation to close. In that time, I looked at approximately fifteen properties and put an offer on two. I lost the first to a cash buyer through no fault of our own and almost lost my second due to pending libation, but ultimately closed. My point is you need somebody strong to represent you if phasing in a highly aggressive market. Todd was my buyer's agent and guided me through the process. I've purchased three other properties before and worked with multiples agents in the past. Todd by far was the best. A few things that stood out and what I consider highlights. He knows my wants and needs: This is the first time I've ever purchased property where I didn't personally find the place I wanted. Todd was very good at anticipating what I wanted in a property. Probably even better than me! I'm detail oriented and I know what I want so I'm usually better than anybody at this. This is probably the biggest surprise in working with Todd. In fact, the place I ultimately closed on was a property he said I should look while I was on my way to the airport for work. It was a quick 15 minute viewing, but was extremely important to give the place a chance since it might have been off the market in a few days before I got back. I'm glad I did. He always pointed out things on viewings that I may or may not want. Things that I don't even think about, but items he knew would have an impact on my decision. A few examples would be the parking situation, the HOA history of a place, storage, layout and floorplan, permitting on unfinished basements among other things. Knowledgeable of the Boulder market: Anybody that is purchasing in Boulder, CO or the surrounding areas better have representation that knows the geography, laws, sales trends, neighborhoods, rumors, etc. about this area and work very fast. Todd has been in this area a while and even though I've lived here for almost 15 years before I purchased he was more familiar with the real estate landscape than I. I've learned a lot from him. I really can't say enough wonderful things about my experience buying a house with Kelly at Porchlight Real Estate Group. I got my dream house - under budget in this crazy, competitive, and intimidating market! Most of these reviews sound the same, but I can tell you Elizabeth Martinez is no 'average' or even excellent agent - she is a rare and powerful real estate/negotiation wizard! I will start by saying this is the third move for my wife and I in the last 10 years. Most recently we were relocated to Denver for my job.
