Callahan's was referred to me by the GE regional representative because the original company that sold the GE refrigerator was unable to fix the problem with condensation building up inside the refrigerator door The Callahan service person immediately knew what the problem was and ordered a new gasket to better seal the door and then returned within a week with the gasket that they had ordered. Everything was done timely and he also had a suggestion on how to handle a problem with another appliance without a service call where all that was needed was to clean a certain surface within the washing machine. Frigidaire warranty hired Callahan's Appliance to service my built-in Frigidaire column refrigerator and freezer repair. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The technician only performed a brief visual inspection, said it was the water manifold system, and assured me he would order the part. When I followed up with customer service, I was told that no part had ever been ordered and there was no record of his report. Frigidaire then sent the same technician back out, and once again, he did absolutely nothing. Despite two unproductive visits and no real service performed, Callahan's still charged Frigidaire warranty $160. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. If you own high-end or built-in appliances that require knowledgeable technicians, I strongly recommend requesting a different service provider!!!! read more

Lets just say it was the worst experience possible. Customer service was poor at best. My new microwave would not heat,the first appointment the Tech gave me a 3 hour window and he was and hour past the window. He misdiagnosed the part that was needed. a different tech was scheduled 3 more times and misdiagnosed parts 3 more times. this horrible process with Callahans went on for over 2 months with no professional outcome, General Electric finally gave in and sent me a new microwave which Im thankful for, Oh heres the conclusion Callahans would not come to install the microwave without trying to charging me $275 and I said no. It took me 10 minutes to install it with no experience...FOLKS PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH CALLAHANS THEY ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL CREW IVE SEEN IN A WHILE PLEASE BE ADVISED. read more

I had a warranty issue with my GE dryer, and Callahan's was the company who GE contracted to do the repair. I was told that they would come on Friday between the hours of 8am and 5 pm, but that they would call me 30 minutes before. I rearranged my work schedule and canceled another appointment so I'd be ready. By 4pm, nobody had shown up. I called the company to ask if the technician was still planning to come. The girl I spoke with put me on hold so she could call the technician directly. She came back and said that the technician confirmed that he would be at my house within an hour. At 5:30 he still hadn't shown up or called me. I decided to give him just a bit more time. At 7pm I called the company back, and of course they were then closed for the weekend. I left a message. Monday morning, I got a call from them, and they said that the technician told them that the phone system was messed up on Friday, which is why he didn't call me or them to say that he wasn't coming. This makes no sense, because the girl I spoke with on Friday TALKED to him ON THE PHONE, and he said he'd be at my house in an hour. I asked the girl whether I was on the schedule for today, and she said that I wasn't. I would need to reschedule for another day, take off work again, and sit at home waiting and hoping for another technician to come. I said no thank you, and contacted GE to request they send a different company. My time was completely wasted, and Callahan's Appliance didn't seem bothered by it at all. read more

If I could give a negative number I would. Insinkerator customer service has Callahan's as factory authorized service. They ordered wrong disposal. Now I can get a person to answer phone, left voicemail and no follow up from them. Reported them to Insinkerator. Meanwhile, no disposal. read more

Lowe's warranty contracted with them to fix my laundry machine. They don't have anyone answering the phones. I left a message at 7am so they could hear my message and here it is 2:30 and no phone call back. They replaced a part on Friday and now it's Monday and it's leaking water...and it wasn't leaking water before! My washroom floor has a lot of water. I informed them of that in my TWO voice mails that I left them. Poor service. I will be letting Lowe's to know how poor the service was. Callaghan's obviously does not care about customer service. Fridge had low water dispenser pressure. Tech came out and literally just took out my old filter and put in a new filter that I already had. That's it! Was expecting for them to maybe charge me $30 or so since no parts, only took 5 mins and did next to nothing. NO.. $120! Techs were very nice, but not at all focused on customer retention and realizing that if you didn't really do anything for the $120, that you shouldn't charge it. Went with them because they are 1 block away from me, but will go back to using Oliver Dyer who only charges $85 for service call. Tried to use these guys since they are right down the street, but learned my lesson the hard way. Will never use again or recommend to anyone!!! read more
