Buxton has been scheduled 3 times to come fix a faulty cooktop and 3 times in a row have stood me up... no call no show. The last time I spoke to their phone girl named Melody, she was actually rude to me regarding the third scheduled visit because the time they had didn't work for me after they rearranged their schedule to fit me in, she forgot they stood me up twice before. The owner himself called me with zero customer service skills whatsoever. I highly recommend looking somewhere else for a credible appliance repair shop who shows warmth and kindness and above all punctuality. By the way they schedule you with a 3hr window and you have to make sure you are ready but more than likely they won't be. Not a good value. read more

I have been doing business with Buxton since 2008 and have recommended them to many people. They have the nicest staff and they come when you call. Very prompt appointment. A huge shout out to James. Buxton's was scheduled to come to my home for a warranty repair on a Zephyr refrigerator. The appointment was booked a couple weeks out with a preference for morning arrival. I was told the best they could do was 10-2 but they would do their best to get someone out early in that window. They called me the day before the appointment to confirm an arrival around 1 p.m. I stated I had a hard stop at 2 and wanted to make sure the tech would be arriving close to 1. Again I was told they would do the best they could and a technician would call me when he was on the way. I called them after returning from my appointment (at 4 p.m.) as I had not heard from anyone regarding the appointment or a reschedule. The person I spoke with responded that the scheduler told the technician to go on to the next appointment (skipping mine) as they would not make the window I requested. I asked if anyone was planning to contact me at any time to make me aware of the missed appointment...The response was...the scheduler was planning to reach out to me in "the next day or two" to find time to reschedule (What...??). Not once did anyone call me on this...I had to call them on status. I waited two weeks for them to get this done, didn't rush it so I could get the time I needed for my schedule and they simply ignored my request. I provided the feedback directly to Zephyr and asked that they consider the quality of service they are using to stand behind their products. I would not use this service for your appliance repairs. Horrible customer service...hopefully the owner can get this corrected and start having the team earn 5 stars. read more

The absolute best .....they repaired my 10 yr old viking range that another repair shop told me was unrepairable and did it at a reasonable rate. Very professional and tenacious in finding the parts for the job. read more

I highly recommend Buxton's for all appliance repairs. Setting an appointment was very easy and the office staff is always courteous and respectful. The technician arrived on time, was very respectful and answered all of my questions clearly. The repair was made quickly and the part has a one year warranty and the service a 90 day warranty. Had them out to fix an old refrigerator that has a leak. Based on that experience I would give them 5 Stars b/c they gave it everything they had. However, the fix didn't work. I have no problem with the money I spent. I appreciate the effort they put into it. They discussed a possible other solution. I was willing to attempt that fix as well. I still had no problem with the possibility of it costing more. So, what is the problem? I can't get them to return my calls and/or emails to pursue this fix. I have been trying off and on since April to get a return call or email. I could understand if they aren't interested in pursuing it. However, I can't understand not return my calls/emails to let me know they aren't interested. Based on the work they did I'd give 5 Stars. Based on the lack of response I would give them 1 Star. read more

These guys are worse than terrible; they are con artists. They came out on a Friday for my refrigerator and said they would have to get approval on parts and should have it in 1-2 days. I called back Wednesday and spoke to Melanie and the parts hadn't even been ordered as she told me they were so busy she hadn't had time. They called back and got the approval miraculously the next day. They scheduled for the tech to be here on Monday. At 4:45 I called and said the tech still hadn't shown up. The owner then said he would call and get an ETA. He never called back. The next morning I called back since I still hadn't heard back and the tech finally came out. Not all the parts were replaced that were supposed, but they were approved. The bottom ice maker still wasn't working so I called and was told that the only thing approved was the top ice maker. I then turned around and called the home warranty company and they told me that the computer board was approved and showed to be replaced. The board was not replaced. I called bact to Buxtons and asked why this didn't get replaced. I got another call back from Melanie who has ZERO customer service skills. She began raising her voice telling me that I wasn't the owner just a renter so I am not the customer. I then made her very aware that I was the one that pays for the contract and the service fee and she said again I wasn't the owner. I said she should not talk to customers like that and she hung up the phone. I then called back and it went directly to voicemail. Read the other reviews. These guys don't show up to appointments and obviously are ripping home warranty companies off not replacing parts that were approved. read more

The new floor was laid in the kitchen. The Frigidaire Professional freezer and refrigerator are in place. But I fail to get them level The vendor's website leads me to Buxton's website. I schedule a service. Jeff arrived on time. He quickly sees the problem. The new floor raised the appliances. Jeff adjusted the trim kit's sides to fit the new height. The top of the trim no longer obstructs the appliances. Then Jeff quickly leveled everything. Jeff has never fixed a double trim kit, his diagnosis was accurate. He was polite and informative. Our Frigidaire range had some burners which would not light after turning the knob. We called Frigidaire (we have a service contract with Frigidaire) and they sent Buxton's to fix the problem. The young service technician was very courteous, knowledgeable, and fast. Fixed in a matter of minutes, and now all the burners work perfectly. I highly recommend their services. read more

Had them out today to looks at my washer. Scheduling was easy. The girl on the phone went above and beyond to make sure the technician was informed and prepared when he arrived. He arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. I had a company come out the day before and it was a nightmare. My mom and Aunt recommended Buxton's. They are the only company they use and they are the only one I will also from now on. read more

Do not use this company. I had them fix my dryer 3 months ago and it is out again. Since we are slightly out of the 90 day window they don't cover the fix. An appliance shouldnt break a few months later if they fix it right the first time. Their suggestion was to not buy Samsung products. My suggestion don't use a repair company that can't back their work. read more

Would not recommend Buxton's. Had a technician come out to fix my Whirlpool refrigerator, the freezer drawer had ice build up and the ice maker was not working properly. The technician was able to rinse out the drain line and defrost the freezer after nearly 2 hours but when it came to fixing the ice machine, his response was "That's way over my head. I'm not going to touch it because I don't want to break it. They'll have to get another tech out here to do that." Incredibly frustrating having to take time off work, just to have the technician they sent out not be competent/prepared for the work. The dispatcher did call to apologize and offer a discount for them to come back out at a later date but I wouldn't waste my time on this company again. read more

When I called to schedule a repair the people on the phone were great. I had requested they call after diagnosing the issue and provide an estimated cost before repairs. The technician called gave me the price for the repair and I authorized. Technician called stating the repairs were completed to please call the office to make payment. I called the office to make the payment and the lady informed we oh by the way we do have just under a 4% fee. At no time prior to this final conversation did anyone mention a fee for processing the credit card. It would have been nice to know up front so I had the choice to use this company or find someone else. I am in the service industry and greatly appreciate any company that is transparent and this company was not, for that reason alone they received a 2 start rating. read more

They came out a few months ago and fixed my dryer. They were great! They showed up on time, fixed the problem right there, and we're very nice. A few mi this later, I had another problem with my dryer - different from the first problem- and the same guys came out and were equally wonderful that time as well. My home warranty company had them come out both times and I was very pleased. Currently, there is a problem with my washer and my home warranty sent out a very incompetent company that I'm still trying to get to come finish the job. I wish they would've called Buxton's again. UPDATE: I just used them again today for a washer another company was supposed to fix- my home warranty company called Buxtons to fix the other people's work. Once again, they were prompt, professional, courteous, I will only trust them from now on!!! read more
