    Callahan's Bar

Friendliest bar in town! Three pool tables! Four dart boards and a private dart room! Has a private gaming room too! With two pinball games and two old school stand up games. Cocktails in a pint glass is the norm here! TV's from all angles! No smoking indoors anymore, thank God! But if you must you can smoke out back in the new fenced in patio (thanks to Covid). There is also an area on the side where you can escape for a smoke or some fresh air. The juke box is always going at this bar! Good luck getting in the queue. Best come equipped with the touch tunes app! Excellent food next door and a hotel across the street just in case you have a little too much to drink.

Was out bar hopping for St.Pattys day and we started at a quaint watering hole by the name of Callahans. It was a real chill spot and you can tell the patrons were regulars there because how familiar everyone was with one another. The have a giant foam Jinga and 2 pool table for your beer drinking entertainment. I also had the pleasure of sitting on one of the most comfortable couches I've ever sat on...no lies. I only had beers so I can review their drinks. BTW! There's like this hidden bar behind the bar. It's a hidden speakeasy that I'm going to rent out one of these days. Oh they had free pastries. Pastries for the win. I do recommend Callahans and look forward to my next visit. It was a nice escape from what I'm use to in Cupertino, Campbell and Santa Row. The air was free of pretentiousness.

I come to Callahan's for one reason. To see Chelsea. Chelsea makes this bar what it is. Without her: It's a shell-of-a-dive bar With her: It's a party. She livens up the place. She fills up the place. It's regulars are a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n roll and everything in-between. Bikers, babes, boozers, tatooers and losers. You can find 'em all here thanks to Chels. She draws everyone in by mixing the best cocktails and as always giving the most professional service. Always love visiting her.

Callahan's is the kind of neighborhood bar that made the t.v. show "Cheer's" so popular. It is a place to come where people know your name and if not, they will by the end of the evening. Walking through the front door, you are greeted by a big, stone hearth and roaring fire.which is so welcoming during the "winter" months. Rachel, the Owner, is generally around with a big smile on her face and if not, she has a "posse" of beautiful women making everyone feel at home. She has changed Callahan's from a "hole in the wall", "dive bar", "biker bar" to a place where EVERYONE feels comfortable. It's large enough to hold pool tournaments (every Wednesday night at 7p), dart leagues, fundraising events and holiday celebrations (great for office parties) yet the big, overstuffed chairs sprinkled throughout add a feeling of intimacy. The whole staff are super engaging, fun, social and eager to please, making an array of exotic cocktails, many times bringing fresh fruit from their own gardens. The beer is always cold, excellent for watching your favorite teams on any one of the 6 flat screens T.V.s perfectly positioned throughout. Wednesday is the infamous pool tournament that is anyone's game from beginners to "damn good" players and women are more than always welcome to show them who's boss! Don't be surprised if you walk in the back door to yummy homemade dishes that'll only cost a few bucks and many times the proceeds go to someone in need! Not to be forgotten, Callahan's is THE ONLY BAR IN SC that has CROWN ROYAL ON TAP to add a bit of class! So, yes, it is a place with an open door policy where jeans and cowboy boots compliment diamond tiara's, lobster (great restaurant next door that delivers) is swilled down with PBR and S.F. Niner fans shake the hands of Oakland Raider fans! I know, I just went too far! But if there were such a common ground, Callahan's is it! Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the operation of Callahan's. I am not on staff, paid or otherwise. I just happened to find a place where everyone knows my name!!

I love this neighborhood bar. You can get a well made cocktail, the jukebox is great, and the people are friendly. What more can I say?

The restaurant has an open, beachy décor, and everything inside looked clean and well maintained. The food is definitely on the pricey side, but we did enjoy what we ordered. Service was excellent: we were seated quickly, given time to settle in, and then the waiter took our drink order. He even offered a small sparkling wine tasting so we could choose the one we liked best. We ordered the breakfast burrito, which was very flavorful. The chorizo added a great kick, and the avocado we added really rounded everything out. The small cup of salsa was tasty and added some heat. The burrito itself had a nice char on the outside, giving it a well‑done finish. We also tried the Seaside Benedict, which was both beautifully presented and delicious. The potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer, but they were still edible. We liked the fresh greens on the plate, and the English muffin had a sourdough‑like flavor that worked really well. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.

Highly do not recommend…read more We were intending to go to a delicious taqueria around the corner, but they were unexpectedly slammed at 8:30pm on a Friday. Instead we walked around the corner toward the boardwalk. Since the Bahia hotel is well rated, the menu looked ok, we thought we'd try it. Big mistake. The hostess seated another party - slowly without acknowledging us. Then she told us the kitchen closed in 30 min. Shouldn't be a problem, right? Our waitress came over and seemed very friendly. We ordered fish tacos, the smash burger (on lettuce with grilled onions and an egg) and chicken tenders with fries for my daughter. While sitting we noticed there were extra plates and silverware and bowls stacked on tables, they were just moving them around from table to table, which seemed odd. Another couple was seated right after us. The people before us and after us got food. Our food still hadn't come out by 9:02pm and our waitress was nowhere to be seen. We asked someone to get her - she came out and told us our food was almost ready. Never asks if we want something else before kitchen closes. At 9:15pm, it finally came out. Fries were cold, smash burger came out with egg, barely grilled onions... plus cheese, sauce, and mushrooms (which I don't like). Fish tacos - mid. We called over the waitress. She said our food took so long because there was one kitchen for four places and she couldn't control when the food came out. Then she proceeded to tell me that the Smashburger came with all of that and I could look at the menu. Why hadn't she mentioned that when I just ordered egg and grilled onions??? She offered to replace the cold fries. Then we asked for the manager - I could see my husband starting to boil over. Another 10 min. Manager comes and talks to the people who came in before us, apparently they had something wrong too. Goes to do something and the finally returns to our table. Asks what is wrong. Does not explain why it took so long, asks if she can give us a free dessert or remake the hamburger. Obviously we don't want to wait another 30 min plus kitchen is now closed. I ask her to comp the burger. Should I have had to ask??? Then we wait another 10 min for her to never come back with the bill. I send husband and child out, get up from the table and go looking for HER. Seriously considering walking out without paying- which I've literally never done. She says 'oh, we comped your bill'. Great news! Perhaps you could have walked over the 15 feet to tell us. Just a hard NO all around. Ambiance is ok, could be nicer but this supposed to be there less expensive area. I will say that people seemed to be enjoying the service at the bar.

The servers were very nice, just a bit busy with all the tables so it did take a little while for service but nothing unreasonable. Loved the loco moco I would say it was a little hot for medium well perhaps the toppings made it cook a little more after plating but it was proper juicy and seasoned. The bbq plate was great, the flavors were pretty much the same but different textures depending on what meat you were trying. The kalbi was really thick! The drinks here are very eye catching and palate pleasing too! I got the mahamellow (non alcoholic) and my fiancé got the Mr Makai. For lunch, I ordered the Hawaiian fried chicken and he got the loco moco. Both meats were severely under-seasoned, like zero seasoning. That was sad. The Mac salad hit though. Super creamy, just the way I like it! Our server was Liam and he was excellent. He checked on us just enough and was nice too. It was a bit off putting there were bunches of flies congregating in parts of the restaurant. $3 per 20 minutes of parking but I think it maxes out at $24/day. I'd come back for the drinks and would dabble apps in the future.

I believe this location doesn't have food options the way Pacifica does, but the Fish and Chip truck right outside pairs perfectly with their drinks. Service was great. The lady who helped was very chill and nice. I also had a difficult time choosing what drink to pick, so I chickened out and said I didn't want anything.
