brought my dog because his stomach was large, dr took xrays and told me his spleen was large and it's normal for some dogs. his spleen was never large, his health deteriorated ,he should have done a blood test, within 2 weeks i had to put him to sleep because he had cancer! I brought my dog here after he was adopted. The first visit was during Covid, and I wasn't allowed inside. A staff member came out to get my dog, and was a bit rude. I brushed it off until she told me that due to breed, he may be muzzled. I told her he was both people and animal friendly thus far, and a 5 month old puppy. No reason to muzzle him. I was told it's up to the vet. At the end of his visit, the vet did come out to speak to me and there were no issues. The following year, my dog would have been due for an annual visit. I called to schedule and they told me if there were no issues, he would be seen bi-annually as he was not due for vaccines. Although reluctant, he was healthy and happy so I accepted their response and figured he would go the following year unless any problems arose. I called to order his flea and tick medication during this year but needed to bring him to be weighed in order to ensure an accurate dose. I brought him there to get a weight, and was turned away being told I did not call in advance to schedule this. Ridiculous. I then brought him to pet smart, and ordered his medication online. Fast forward to December 2023, I called to schedule his yearly exam. I also received a reminder email that he was due for a heart worm test as well. The staff member that answered the phone told me it is not necessary to bring him in and they will push the test to the following year. I said no, and requested an appointment. The woman became nasty, telling me there was no reason for my dog to be seen. I persisted stating they had told me the previous year that it was unnecessary, and the at I want my dog properly cared for and for his necessary tests to be run. The woman became even more rude and nasty and told me if I wanted to waste my money, they had a Wednesday am appointment and that my dog would not be seeing the vet, and only a tech. I again requested a NORMAL appointment. The staff member became even more irate, and yelled. She stated "I was one of those, and if I want to waste money and over vaccinate my dog, I should take him to TR Animal Hospital". What relevance shaming another business had is unknown to me. At this point I informed her that I would never be bringing my dog back to their establishment, as she is both unprofessional and rude, and to print his veterinary records as I was coming to pick them up. I called a new vet, and scheduled accordingly. Upon his first appointment, I was provided with a copy of the veterinary records that were received from Forked River Animal Hospital. In there, this woman had the nerve to add notes, stating that I was rude, etc. and demanding of an appointment that she (NOT A VET) deemed unnecessary. The staff here is rude, unprofessional, out of line, and argumentative. Don't bother even trying to speak to the veterinarian/owner about it, as you will not receive a call back. Unfortunately, it is not worth wasting your time or money to come here. Go elsewhere where the staff is welcoming, and actually enjoys PROPERLY caring for your pet. read more

I brought my dog in for a suspected ear infection under the direction of Dr. Force the vet tech looked into her ear with an iPhone flashlight and told me they weren't infected. I can not say enough good things about this vet. Their office is so much friendlier than any of the other vet offices I have ever been to. My dog is a bit of a handful. We got him from the Manahawkin shelter, and were told that he doesn't do well with other dogs. That really meant that he literally can not be around other animals, which makes it nearly impossible to take him for his medical care. He cut his leg, and a mobile vet wouldn't be able to take care of his needs. So we started calling around hoping to find a vet that would be understanding of his "personality". Dr. Force and his team were wonderful from start to finish. They treated him with care, and didn't judge that his isn't the best behaved dog. What ended up surprising me, was not only were they kind to the both of us, but the price was so cheap. I went in expecting my savings to be drained out, and instead left with not just a reasonable bill, but a proper vet for my hyperactive dog. I started bringing my cane corso puppy to Dr. Force the week after we got him home at 8 weeks. He is always good with him even though my Prince is an A hole. We adopted 2 senior cane corso mix girls from popcorn park zoo 8 months after getting our puppy. We figured since the senior girls would be seeing the popcorn park animal clinic then we would ask to see Prince as well so we wouldn't have to see 2 vets. They told us no, that they had no room for new patients. That turned out to be the best turn down ever! After the girls were still patients with the popcorn park and EVERYTIME we needed to see the vet for a sick visit they NEVER had an openings for at least a week. Also, it was annoying that multiple times in over 2 years when we needing them, they were on vacation?!?! What type of practice is that, 2 dr being out at once?! Anyway, we needed help for our senior Savannah, she started limping really bad on her back leg, of course popcorn park was not available. I called Forked River Animal Hospital and they seen her that day! He examined her and knew what was wrong. She tore her acl. He didn't do unnecessary xrays and he was very straight to the point about it. No bs. He let me know that surgery wasn't the right way to go. He gave her meds and sent us on our way. Sooo, he saved us from crazy bills for xray and surgery. She was doing very well with just meds! Then again, a couple months later something else happened, can't remember what it was, and needed a vet. Wellll what do you know, popcorn park had no availability for 9 days.... NINE DAYS?!?!? So, again we went to Dr. Force. I know he took an xray that was needed, again don't remember for what, turned out it was something that wasn't serious and no extra unnecessary tests. Same for my other senior girl Sahara. Not sure what it was for but didn't need anything serious. This summer I took my Savannah to popcorn park to check a lump i felt. They seen her a week later. I waited for them because i didn't think it was serious. They felt a pea size lump on her breast. They did bloodwork that day telling me they wanted to do surgery. They said they won't do xrays until the day of surgery because they didn't want to sedate her twice. I thought that was ridiculous. Of course I wanted a 2nd opinion so called Dr. Force. They took me 2 days later. They examined her,felt the pea size lump and told us surgery wouldn't be a good option. She was 10 almost 11 and surgery would be more dangerous then having a pea size lump removed. I must add the surgery would have cost $1100. Even if they found out it was cancer there was nothing they could do. That came from their mouths. From that day on Dr. FORCE is the only vet i trust , so i take all 3 to him now. We found out 2 months ago that my Savannah had a small mass above her anus under her tail. He told us to treated it by keeping clean. It wasn't bothering her so surgery again would be ridiculous. So, in all of this I've written Dr. Force gave me 6 extra months with my girl. Unfortunately, Saturday February 1st 2020 was the last day i had her in my arms. Last minute, I called the office and in 3 hours we were in the office saying goodbye to my girl. It was her time, she was ready to cross the rainbow bridge. I brought my pet Scooter to be euthanized due to health problems beyond quality of life. I specifically told the dr that I would be bringing him directly from the office to crematory and was taking him in a small blanket out to my car and dr force said don't worry I will give you something nice to carry him out in. Yes, it was nice, however he charged me $15 extra for this item of which I certainly did not need since my precious pet was going directly to the Noah's Ark crematory. I've always taken my pets to Dr Force. When we had to euthanize my dog a few years ago the staff was so good to me, and my dog of course, as I was a hysterical mess. They were kind and compassionate. This was the treating vet that was included with the rescue we adopted our puppy from. By going there all vaccinations and deworming were to be included and spay/nueter at a reduced cost. I planned on using their vet for the covered costs that were included with the adoption fee and then switching to my regular vet for the 1 year check. Well within a couple of months after getting our "rescue" pup we found out the rescue was shut down because they were more of a glorified puppy store selling unhealthy dogs. The vet willingly worked with them, covered for them, did NOT give my dog all the vaccinations that were due and gave the rabies vaccine weeks too early which left my dog unprotected. I'm now waiting for a blood panel and labs to come back to make sure he's okay. They did not provide adequate care and disgustingly worked with a "rescue" that sold sick animals. I did research and ask questions before we adopted about the rescue and the vet, unfortunately at the time we got our pup they still had their secret scam going on. I had brought my dogs here for a little under a decade. NEVER AGAIN. Not only did he fail to give my dogs his shots that my other dog got at the same time, but I brought my dog in for allergy issues. The vet came in, scolded me for his recommendation of not neutering him, told me he will have to be neutered and sent to Pennsylvania to deal with his "behavioral problems", barely shaved the dogs wound he got from over licking and put him on OCD medication. I believed this fool for three years. I brought him to a different vet and he was diagnosed with allergies, has a heart murmur that was undiagnosed and bladder stones after I opted for a full panel that was not suggested at FRAH, and has been a different dog since being out on his shots for it. I cried letting myself think I had wronged my dog and have him behavioral problems only to watch him suffer and scratch for years to be easily treated with one shot. Not to mention when my dog passed I paid to have him separately cremated and the whole package. Never got my dogs paw print as my friend had gotten for her dog a month prior. This was all before covid and after 5 months at my new vet. He is rude, condescending and has no bedside manner. The nurses are the only thing that kept me there and even they roll their eyes at him!! He may be cheap but you pay for it in the long run. Moral of the story? Love your animals? So disgusted by the lack of compassion shown to my mother during her experience losing her dog. She arrived at 8am as per the website, and the dog was in its final moments. She was told they weren't open and the doctor wasn't in until 9:15. When she asked if they could call him she was told, "he has a son and a life. He's not going to drop everything". She was led to a room with the dog, the nurse dropped a box of tissues on the counter and left. She was in the room for over an hour, alone, as the dog failed. No one so much as checked on her. The dog soon passed and the nurse came in and dismissively said, you can stay in here. And then abruptly left. When we called to express our regrets about how it was handled, the receptionist replied, "I'll make a note". The doctor, whom we did not have any issue with, took to Facebook in light of our call and in the most unprofessional manner, misrepresented the situation and our feelings. Without offering apologies or condolences, he stood behind the conduct of his staff because the "dog was old and we had no appointment". His post concluded, "you can't make everyone happy." I would never bring another animal here. We provided direct feedback in the hopes more compassion would be shown to others entering the office in the future in our position. The resulting post on Facebook only further exposes the way this practice operates and treats patients. read more

We are new to the area and decided to bring our dog to this vet. From the start, the woman on the phone was extremely rude to my husband. When he arrived for the visit he was not greeted with a smile or even a hello. The doctor did not even take our dogs temperature or listen to her heart or lungs. So unprofessional!!! He prescribed medicine for vomiting and rushed my husband out the door. Total time from walking into the office to leaving was 15 minutes. Never again! beware!!!!!this place killed my cat!! i took her in basucally happy and healthy with a bloated stomach .he mis- diagnosed her(confirmed by another team of veterinarians )and they told me they were going to simply take a bit of fluid out of her belly, no big deal..when i heard her scream in pain i ran to the back room only to see two technicians one not licensed aspirating an abdominal tap on my cat's stomach !! she then went into severe shock and was panting heavily then they tried to cover their mistake by taking the compromised animal and sedating her with a 10 mg dose of butorphanol..enough drug for a 70 lb dog!as well it's a no no to ever sedate a compromised animal...she went into cardiac arrest and later died from the unlicensed procedure..even vet techs are not allowed to legally rap ant animals avdomed without direct supervision..or give that drug at all to sedate in the muscle..illigal! then when i called later to discuss. the vet was yelling at me and hung up the phone...do not. i repeat. do not even chance this place...i am completely devestated..and his practice is under review by the veterinary board of nj read more
