Each unit has a water shutoff valve located in the garage but since the technicians didn't have the garage code they decided to shut off the water to an entire building without notifying any of our residents. One of the residents is wheelchair bound and has MS . Another resident was actively preparing dinner. This was not an emergency. The company should not have proceeded until they could shut the water off for only the unit they were servicing. Very inconsiderate.

From the time of referral to appointment was less than a week, and Ron called me personally the same day to schedule my appointment. Day of the appointment he crew notified me when they were 30 minutes out. Upon their arrival they ASKED if I preferred them to wear booties over their shoes, walked me though what they would be doing, and the why. I work from home, but they did not interfere while they were working, even though we were sharing the space in my 'home office/ loft'. They put plastic tarps over my furniture to ensure it stayed clean. They were polite, professional and kind. They finished the upstairs ducts and move down stairs. They finished the work in about an hour, and were off, my home better off for their visit. At the end of my work day I went down stairs and noticed the oven was dead. I sent a text message to Ron around 6pm, and he instantly response "I am in a meeting, but I will call you back." True to his word Ron called me back, and with confidence he told me the oven died because the equipment tripped a GFI outlet. He informed me "It will be the plug you least expect", and informed me if I could not resolve the issue on my own, he would come out and help me the next day, Ron was right- I found the GFI outlet, tripped it, and everything in my home was back to normal. I called Ron back to let him know and thank him for his assistance. The attention to detail, customer care, and professionalism of the the Vegas Valley Team was amazing! I will be using this service annually.

When I checked my Nest app later the temp in the house was going up not down. I called and spoke to John in their office. He was able to get Ron back out and he found my blower motor was completely out and needed to be replaced. He also stated he would be out Wednesday to put it in. I never heard back from him after he left. I called the office and spoke to John who said the job was completed and I told him it was not. He said he would call technician and call me back. He never did. I called again at 11:30 and again I was told he would check with technician and call back in 1/2 hour. At 12:30 I called and no answer. At 1:00 I called and let a message. At 1:30 I called and left a nastier massage. Finally called back at 2:00 and said it was not broken, just needed cleaning. I told him that was not what the technician said and he said sorry it just needed to be cleaned. I called him a liar and a few more choice names before hanging up. After calling and reading the riot act to my Home Warranty I called out an HVAC company of my choosing and they diagnosed the blown motor and got me up and running the next day. What an unscrupulous company these people are especially the Dispatcher John. I would not let them replace the laces on my tennis shoes. Absolutely a disgraceful company.

Discount saved my ass with what they did for me…read more I have an older home whose cast iron drain piping was in bad shape and causing multiple problems. I received 2 other quotes and all they wanted to do is rip up the concrete, wreck counter tops and ONLY take 3-4 weeks. Which meant my wife, her 6 cats, my older brother (who needs care) and myself had to leave for that amount of time. They quoted an estimated $30K+ with at least $1200 for us to be out of the house. Walter came by assessed the problem, sent his crew in to video everything and quoted a non-destructive trenchless piping fix to my problem. The trenchless piping fix was considerably less $ and could be completed in a time frame we could live with. They took care of all of the necessary County paperwork and started on the fix. It took several days, but we were only mildly with use of toilets and the rare water shutoff. During their lunch break and at the end of the day, we had moderate use of everything, which was great. They explained everything that was going on and there no real surprises as to any added work. We knew going in that there may be some added work, but it was minimal. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to deal with a contractor that is honest, has competitive prices and is totally upfront with all aspects of the project. I will be recommending Discount Drain to anyone who may have similar problems.
