Paid $550 and not exactly sure what for. They only took a large vacuum to the vents and didn't even open them. No snake used. Also, be aware that they only take cash, check, or Zelle. I haven't worked with a business that didn't take card inside of the US ever. I understand the fee's, charge a 4-5% fee like other businesses do to use a card. We had previous had our dryer vent cleaned by another company a few times. We noticed that our dryer was taking a long time to dry our clothes so we decided to give them a call. They didn't have an appointment available for a few days, so I looked online and made a few calls. I talked to Shay and was able to get a same day appointment between 12-2. Shay showed up promptly, actually 5 min before 12, which I appreciated. He was able to get so much lint out of my dryer vent, it was apparent that the previous times I had it done, it wasn't done as thoroughly as Shay was doing it. Shay really took pride in his work and wanted to make sure he got all the built up lint out. He explained to me how dangerous the amount of lint we had in the vent was. I'm so glad we found Shay. Cool Breeze serviced dryer vent cleaning at my business in May. In June an employee texts me photos of dryer vent not connected to the wall. Not only did Cool Breeze come out the next day to take a look, he corrected and repaired the dryer vent connection! This is above and beyond service. I was initially impressed with how fast I was able to get an appointment. The man who came to clean my dryer vent made me take out the trash after cleaning the vent, and I question if he replaced the hose at all. Then, I learn that Cool Breeze does not take cards (even debit cards!), which was never on any of their advertising, nor mentioned over the phone. It put me in an awkward position, so I called the company number. Sure enough, they don't take cards of any kind, but they use Zelle, old school checks (which few people have anymore), and cash. Worst service ever! Don't hire them if you need legit air duct cleaning. Very dirty workers and when I called the owner to complain they are not about the customers, they are about the money, easy work and out your house leaving the property with a lot more dust all over and not just the vents! My daughters suffer from bad allergies to the point where I'm going to have to take one of them to the hospital because her allergy pills won't help her at the moment with all the dust left behind. they don't deserve one star. they came in to my house for a basic duct cleaning service and quoted me 400 dollars. first they want to change the price to 800 dollars right away and when i insist on the vacuum only they get pissy. the guy pulls in the vacuum and is vacuuming over the filter, he does not even open the vent. i had this service before i told him and u have to vacuum inside the vent. for them to open the filter he wants to charge 800 plus. most horrible experience i had with a lazy company. they dont deserve any business from anyone. Called about a cleaning for my split unit, and the first words he said were "what's a split unit" I have a bad mold problem and a terrible smell coming from the unit so I wanted a quote on a professional cleaning. When asked he "explained" to me that all I have to do is take out my filter, attach a brush vacuum head and clean out my filter myself. He talked as if I was dumb and didn't know what I was asking. I've already cleaned out my filter multiple times. No matter how much self cleaning I do, that won't help the mold problem. Such a rude way to run business. read more

I contacted Cool Breeze Air Duct Cleaning after getting the 89074 magazine as they had a special vent cleaning at $4.50 a vent. The magazine also stated that ceiling fan cleaning, dryer vent cleaning and register cleaning were also included at no extra charge. I'm told that for my size home the service is about $450. As soon as the guy arrives (honestly, he does no inspection) and sees dirt on the ceiling from vents, he immediately informs me my system is dirty and that he can't do the $450 cleaning. He tells me I need the deep cleaning which is $70 a vent because it requires the use of special equipment. The machine uses a lot of power, has to be plugged into 3 different outlets and twice tripped my breaker. On the 3 vents he couldn't reach, it was basically a half-assed job as he claimed to have vacuumed and brushed them through another vent in another room. Those 3 registers were not removed, and the duct cavity was not cleaned (however I was charged $210 for those 3 vents). Finally, he sold me on permanent filters which were $125 each, he told me that he was giving them to me at cost and these were the best filters around. Stupid me, paid the money and didn't check. He came back two weeks later to bring the new filters and I got curious about ordering a second set which would make it easier to swap out every 4 weeks to clean only to find out that the exact same filters (same brand and same lifetime warranty) cost $40 INSTEAD of $125. I immediately asked why he lied and the response was that he paid $75. So instead of giving them to me at cost (which is what he told me)...he charged me 4X the actual retail price. Not sure how I was able to order them for $40 and he couldn't. Even at a cost of $75 the markup to $125 is a ridiculous 67%. Extremely disgusted with the dishonesty and am pretty confident they also overcharged me on the duct cleaning service. The $450 "special" felt like a bait and switch so buyer beware. Instead of $450, I wound up paying over $1,500. On top of that they left a mess of dust all over my floor which I wound up having to clean up. I wish I had read the reviews first. I would never use this company again and recommend that anyone reading my review, don't make my mistake...check out reviews and compare prices. I was disappointed with the service. Only the large main AC vents were opened during the cleaning. Vacuuming the dust through the other vent slots (vs opening the vents to clean) did not clean enough, since we still had a lot of dust in the house after that. I am so happy we chose this company. As first time homeowners, we knew how important it was to have the vents checked in our '89 house. Shay was very professional when we spoke on the phone, the questions he asked me about our home gave me relief that he knew what he was talking about. He worked with me on our schedules. He showed up promptly when he said he would and got right to work. I'm a clean-freak, so I was really happy when he put on his little booties every time he entered the house. He even removed them in the garage and put them back on when he came back in! Shay not only cleaned our vents (they were filthy thanks to previous owners smoking inside... ew!!!), but he also wiped up all the little bits of debris that fell out when he removed the covers (as best as he could, what more could I ask for!). He went above and beyond by answering all of our questions, explaining and showing us how things work, and guided us through ways to save money on our electric bill. We literally had a new A.C. unit on our to-do list and would have spent a fortune on that if we wouldn't have had our vents cleaned by Shay first. Turns out the previous homeowners had added the wrong filters in strange places where they don't belong, which is why our air never felt like it was matching up to our settings. After he cleaned it out and ran the (electric) dryer, it got considerably hotter much quicker. You could definitely sense a difference. He's very professional and friendly and I would totally recommend him to anyone. I would also like to mention the unprofessional actions of this company. Immediately after posting my review and pictures on Yelp, the tech, Idan, that was at my home, called me from his personal phone and asked me why I had left a bad review. Not the owner...the tech that was at my house. I felt that he was trying to intimidate me. I informed him that my review stated only the facts of what I experienced along with picture documentation. Shay, your claim on your website that you will leave the home better than when you arrive is false - as per my pictures attached. Had you mentioned that the price could change after the tech had inspected my house when I spoke to you over the phone, I would have been fine with that. I would have been prepared. But quoting me $289 over the phone and quoting me $825 is a big difference. Explaining to you that I felt the the AC Ducts had never been cleaned since 2009 and most likely never, you should have stated that a basic cleaning is very different from a deep cleaning. When booking my appointment and asking for a quote, you never mentioned setting up a time to look at my house to provide a free estimate. You just simply gave me an estimate and booked the job. Shay, I answered your questions, I gave you the square footage of my house...I gave you the number of AC Units and you provided me with a quote and never stated that it could change depending on the arrival of the tech. The damage to my Venetian Plaster alone makes me regret booking your company. The cost to have that chip repaired and paint matched will be expensive. Again, I feel as if you and your company did a bait and switch. You quoted me one price to get me to book, never stating that you needed to see the house to give an actual estimate or if it was extremely dirty, a different type of cleaning would be needed. I would have opted for the deep cleaning over the phone had I been given this option, depending on price. But again, I was never informed and there is no mention on your website or mailers of AC Duct Cleaning vs AC Duct Deep Cleaning. You show before and after pictures making us believe this is what AC Duct Cleaning will do for our home, but that is not the service you are actually quoting. This could have been avoided had you communicated better. Update your website to include all of your services. Explain the different options you provide in Air Duct Cleaning along with price differences. The 2nd issue, was lack of attention to detail of the tech in my home. He missed a room, he did not reconnect a vent, he damaged my wall, and he has called my cell phone several times after posting my review, in which after speaking to him the first time, I have blocked his number from my phone, as it is not the company's (Cool Breeze) phone number. He was also very kind and respectful to all my pets, which was awesome. Our ducts were so covered in dust and dirt they looked hairy! It was disgusting! We just purchased the house and who knows how long it had been since they were cleaned, if ever. Shay took his time and did a good job on each vent. When he was done, I took a look and it was amazing at how clean everything was. There was no dust at all and it was all wiped clean! When Jov first arrived he was very friendly, did not try to upsale me on anything, explained all of the services and pricing in detail. Upon completing the vent in my sunken family room his equipment got caught on the tile of the stairs that are in the process of being remodeled. He was dragging the equipment up the stairs like a suitcase. Instead of trying to lift the machine up he decided to pull on the machine and yank it up the stairs. When he did this 3 tiles were broken. He immediately got aggressive and told me this was my fault because the stairs were not finished. He made a comment to me about the stairs when he first arrived and he was informed that they were not finished at this time. My contractor was at the house at the time and he and my son also witnessed what happened. When my contractor told him he could get him the cost to fix the tile Jov aggressively told him he did not cause any damage and this was not his fault. He never apologized and he continued to loudly express how he has never caused any damage and it was my fault. Jov said he had completed the job and angrily packed up all of his equipment. He eventually agreed to pay for the damages and the cost of the damage was removed from my total. With all of the confusion with the tile and Jov's hostile demeanor I unfortunately didn't make sure he really completed the job. It has been several years since I had air ducts cleaned. I called Cool Breeze yesterday and was given a 2 hour window today for service. He stopped by on time, put on booties, and looked inside my return vent. He told me they were just fine and no need to service today. Then he looked at my dryer vent and showed me how he determined that it was also fine and needed no service today. Based on the honesty and good advice, I am recommending Cool Breeze even though they ended up doing nothing for me today. I will keep their number and call back when I do need service! read more

Called to have my dryer vent cleaned out, at the advise of the repair man who came to fix my dryer that wasn't heating. said that had to be the issue being that the dryer is new. from what I could see in the vent it was pretty spotless, I just bought the place. I could feel the vent flap was catching something on the outside of the house. But being that it's on the second story I couldn't get to it. Cool Breeze came out looked at it and yes my hunch was correct. He literally bent the flap and it was fixed. I was however charged $79 what I saw was advertised as the dryer vent cleaning charge. I understand that I am paying for his time and thats very valuable. but I felt the $79 was a bit much. I had a friend and my family waiting for my recommendation but I wont be recommending him.
