I've had pretty reliably good experiences as far as the imaging services & personnel. Two negative changes have been: (1) never-ending text & email reminders to complete check-in online even after having completed it all; & (2) scheduling appt's seems to go to a call center where sometimes the person I reach is knowledgeable & sometimes not.

The tech went tried to get ahold of the company but they didn't open for 2 more hours online it stated it could shut off the pump so it didn't want to take a chance because my dr is in Baltimore no dr around here would be able to check it for me. I think that there should have been a programmer there where I was getting the mri so they could check to see if my pump is still on and didn't get turned off. Actually EVERY MRI facility should have this programmer to check for people like me there not programming anything just checking for on and off I'm sure Medtronics and make something so every place has one.

Arrived for my mammogram appt to find out American radiology only scheduled me for a screening…read moremammogram bs a diagnostic mammogram, despite my doctor ordering a diagnostic mammogram (the order was sent directly to them!). Per the front desk, there was even a note in the file indicating it was diagnostic. This was inexcusable. They told me they didn't have enough time to do a diagnostic mammogram and I would need to come back. I took 2.5 hours of PTO for this appointment. Could they have accommodated me and done the longer exam anyway? I don't know but I saw no other patients there and someone in the back commented they were slow. They told me I would need to reschedule. No big deal. Just take more leave for their mistake. This is not a patient centered corporation, profit centered may be a better description. I decided I'm not going back. I'm going to the hospital where I went for several previous mammograms. And maybe it's a blessing in disguise because I actually felt more confident in the mammograms I had at the hospital vs the previous one at American Radiology. I would not recommend American Radiology.

When I arrived, they had no record of my appointment even though I had a text confirmation. Eventually they sorted that out. I was seen on time and the office was clean. The tech was professional and friendly. Hope they can sort out their schedules issue.
