There are no padlocks to open in this room, which is very different from the majority of escape rooms that just lock up clues to puzzles. I don't know why, but it's refreshing. This is a great team-building activity for friends, family, or co-workers. I was having so much fun I didn't want to take pictures and miss anything. A great way to go phone-free for a few hours and live in the moment.

After we all checked in, we explored each of the room. Some were super difficult, some were "easy". Each room lets you know if it's more physical, mental, or team work/ communication. Some stuff wasn't working functionally (specifically some scanning puzzles) but still a good time and we got out. The second room we did was Who Stole the Mona Lisa which was more difficult. No locks and almost all puzzles/riddles. Very difficult and had to max out our clues but we also got out. We had a weird glitch happen mid-game but our game master Avery was really helpful in setting us back up to restart. Pretty busy area in Fairfax Corner but there is plenty of parking within a block of the building. If you love escape rooms, this place has multiple rooms for everyone.

Butttt, it wasn't at all easy for us lol. I wish I could say that we got out the room with NO or minimal clues lol but we were often very clueless lol prompting the need for more and more clues. With ALL of the workers help via the clues and fixing the tv screen, we managed to get out of the room in time. Overall, this was a good experience. The Code- Cyber Heist was definitely mentally challenging, causing us to ponder plans to solutions for a lengthy amount of time.

As a four-person group, we decided to take on Poe's Chambers. The theming of this room is immaculate! Just the door to the room evokes the early 19 hundreds. Poe's Chambers really makes you feel like you're in the creative poet's home. I loved the overall feel! My fiancé and I were able to get the group through some of the puzzles, just due to our vast experience with rooms. I believe even our first-timer friends were able to see how we were making the connections and able to get their brains going too! I felt like we all really handled the room well and that it was friendly to them. There is one puzzle in particular I think E.R.A. needs to update. If it doesn't sit just so, it's easy to miss the clue. Though, everything else in the room worked flawlessly. Our game master was very attentive when we asked for two clues, though it took us a bit to decode her hints. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. I can see why this room would be an 8/10 difficulty. It's a fairly linear room, which I prefer when it comes to games. I've done rooms that feel scattered and those frustrate me to no end, lol. I do think a group of beginners might struggle, just a bit, in this room. Truly though, great room! I hope we'll get to go back again! 8/10 recommend
