My family and I had the call the facility back so many times. They never called back, I had to keep calling. Then they said they could send someone out. Not being respectful of anyone's time when I'll booking was at 1:30 and this was after 1:30 when they wanted to try to send someone out. Never said how long that would even be. We booked this room because it was listed as their easiest room. The room itself was very interesting, as well as challenging. A lot of thought went in to the design of the room. The decor was interesting an laid-out well for a pretty small space. I wouldn't try this room with more than 6 people. It would be tight. Location of ER Loco was easy to find. Unfortunately, we didn't escape in the 1 hour but had a GREAT time anyway. We felt we had a pretty-smart crew going into the experience but failed to escape anyway. Our hostess at Escape Room Loco was VERY friendly and she offered us clues when needed (which was a lot). The experience inspired me to try an Escape Room again and I would definitely go back to Loco. Sorry, I'm not offering any clues for solving this room, but will offer 2 tips - bring your reading glasses (if you need them). Second, bring a small (good) LED flashlight to help see in this dark room. A cell phone flashlight probably won't be allowed. They provide each visitor a mini flashlight, but they're mostly ineffective. I hope they offer an easier room in the future for slower folks like me. Any shortcomings were on me this visit, so no deducted stars for this review!

I've been to Level 99, so it's comparable where there's multiple rooms and activities and you work together to finish the game. Here, you can do competitive games against your group, which makes things more interesting. Theres about 10-15 rooms and each room has different activities to choose from and levels. Unlike Level99, the directions here make sense when you get the hints. As soon as these doors open, within seconds, we were sprinting between glowing rooms trying to beat puzzles, dodge lasers, and slap light panels like our lives depended on it. The concept is basically part escape room, part laser tag, part interactive arcade, except you are the controller. And yes... you will sweat. Each room has a different challenge, and the games ramp up in difficulty so it gets weirdly competitive (especially when everyone's scores are tracked on the wristbands). One minute you're carefully solving a puzzle and the next minute you're hopping across light-up floors like it's an adult version of "the floor is lava." A few notes from the field: * Free lockers to store your belongings. * Bring a water bottle! * Wear athletic clothes and sneakers. This is not a cute-boots/sandals activity. * It's way more physical than expected--in a fun way. * Eat AFTER you come, especially if it's a date night. You don't want to see anything coming up during the activities. What I loved most is that it's fast-paced and replayable. You can bounce between rooms, try different difficulty levels, and keep chasing a higher score. It's perfect for groups, birthdays, team outings, or honestly just blowing off steam. Bottom line: it's chaotic, active, and ridiculously fun. Also in comparison to Level 99, it's not as busy and we don't have to wait outside rooms for long. Would I go back? 100%. My competitive side refuses to accept my current score.

My wife and I both found it challenging and engaging. The room says it accommodates 2-6 individuals; however, I think it would be a great activity for just 2-3. I felt more than 4 would be a little tight. Review of the staff: I called about a month ahead of time to reserve the escape room for my wife's birthday. Normally, Escape Room Manassas is closed on Tuesdays (the day we went); however, a staff member (I assume the manager) opened just for us. It was such a nice gesture. As a four-person group, we decided to take on Poe's Chambers. The theming of this room is immaculate! Just the door to the room evokes the early 19 hundreds. Poe's Chambers really makes you feel like you're in the creative poet's home. I loved the overall feel! My fiancé and I were able to get the group through some of the puzzles, just due to our vast experience with rooms. I believe even our first-timer friends were able to see how we were making the connections and able to get their brains going too! I felt like we all really handled the room well and that it was friendly to them. There is one puzzle in particular I think E.R.A. needs to update. If it doesn't sit just so, it's easy to miss the clue. Though, everything else in the room worked flawlessly. Our game master was very attentive when we asked for two clues, though it took us a bit to decode her hints. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. I can see why this room would be an 8/10 difficulty. It's a fairly linear room, which I prefer when it comes to games. I've done rooms that feel scattered and those frustrate me to no end, lol. I do think a group of beginners might struggle, just a bit, in this room. Truly though, great room! I hope we'll get to go back again! 8/10 recommend
