Another great trip to Bond's Escape Room! We went to the Arlington location. Lucas was our game host and he made it fun because he was silly and told lots of jokes. He was quick to help when we got stuck and needed hints. We took friends who were visiting from out of town because it was something everyone could do together. Had a great time with an escape room here. Chose one of the average difficulty rooms and we managed to escape with 10 minutes left to spare. The puzzles were all well done and really interesting to figure out. There was one clue in particular that was a little finicky but the game masters were quick to identify the issue and helped us keep the escape going! We completed all the Ravenchase Escape rooms in Herndon and wanted to try a new location, but this place was a disappointment. when we arrived nobody really paid attention to us for more than 10 minutes although there was nobody else in the lobby and there are at least 3 workers there. We had to ask for the story when we got to the room, some of the clues did not make sense, you had to guess. Some of the answers did not work and they had to manually clear the clues. I would not recommend this place. read more

Came here with a big group for a birthday event. Ines was our game master and she was super nice. She was patient dealing with our group of idiots and took the time to explain the rules. She also helped give us guys clues as we were too slow to figure them out on our own. Overall, everyone enjoyed the escape room and both our groups made it out on time :) read more

What an experience! Staff was really good and I loved how they got into character when explaining our room to us. We need it some hints, and they weren't very helpful. Also in one of our puzzles one of the ropes didn't fall down (3 we're supposed to be there and we only had two) they didn't let us know that there was an error with that puzzle so that took up a lot of time with us not being able to escape. Other than that I definitely recommend bringing the whole family and a few friends it was lovely on the inside. read more

We hosted my daughter's birthday party at the Arlington Bond's Escape Room last weekend and had a fabulous experience! My daughter and her friends (ages 8-9) did the "art attack" room that ended in splatter art. The person who helped them in the escape room (and even helped us clean up post party) was extremely kind, helpful, and fun for the kids. We were excited to finally try a room out here since we've been to the Fairfax location many times. We decided to try the Saddlewood Saloon since it was the only room that could take 2 people. Obviously I don't want to give any spoilers but the puzzles in the room were very tricky but it was very fun overall. Jen was super helpful as our game master (is that right?) and gave us just enough help to get to the end. The second time we did the Death by Chocolate room which was even crazier. Way harder to get out but we did eventually (after more than an hour). Andrew and a new employee (sorry forgot her name) helped us out a lot with the tough clues. It kind of sucks that you can book most of the rooms without paying for at least 3 player slots because we would love to try the rest of them. They do offer 20% off a room though if you book right after your game which is kind of nice too. This place is absolutely worth giving a shot if you love escape rooms and have a good amount of people. Keep in mind, you'll probably have to put to park in the adjacent garage. read more

My husband and I are escape room fanatics, so we make a point of trying new escape rooms anytime we travel. On our east coast trip this last week, Bonds Escape Room was the second escape place we tested out (and definitely the better of the two). First off, the customer service was excellent. We realized we were running late after trying to squeeze in some local sightseeing, so we called the business to ask if that was okay. They were so friendly and accommodating! The room we chose was the Sleepover Slaughterhouse and it was so much fun! The set design was amazing and the puzzles had a lot of variety. While we didn't escape in time, our game master was kind enough to give us an extra 5 minutes to solve the remaining puzzles without simply rushing us out and telling us the remaining answers. About the only suggestion I could think of would be to give us a flashlight since some of the room was very dark and it made it challenging to see and complete some of the puzzles. All in all, I recommend you give these escape rooms a try! read more

Reasonably priced for all of us and a great one-hour experience with good, manageable clues that definitely made us think. We were able to book a reservation just a couple hours in advance on a Sunday night which was great for a last minute activity. Bonds is open during quarantine- and such a great way to get out and do something fun safely! They have you wear masks during your time there, separate and clean rooms, and you're really pretty isolated! There is hand sanitizer as well. We did the enchanted castle, great for all ages but yeah maybe I get scared too easy because boxes suddenly opening freaks me out. Can be done with two people, and the clues & game were really interesting!! We were pretty new to escape rooms but they were so helpful when needed, and maybe even gave us a little extra time when we struggled Staff was really kind and made the experience great, will be recommending to all my friends! You could barely hear a thing (with background music and a very annoying, can't be turned off chorus in the background). They clearly know this problem. My group and I tried the sleepover slaughterhouse escape room (did not realize it was the most challenging room) and man was it a heart throbbing experience!!! Definitely was very challenging to get through all the clues and the setting In the room made it even more realistic. If you're into creepy and horror stuff, this is definitely the room for you! Andrew, our host made the experience very enjoyable!!! He played the creepy theme right and was very helpful and informative throughout our escape room experience!! This was the first escape room I've ever done and am super excited to try the other rooms as well! I will definitely be back for another thrilling experience. Advice while going to the place, it's upstairs above Ann Taylor and right next door to Barnes and Nobles. There's street parking around the area, and a garage parking next door. read more

I went to the Arlington location last week with my team from work. We didn't have much prior knowledge coming into the game but the guy (I think his name is Zach) that was our guide explained it all. We were definitely terrified, and even though it was his job to maintain his spooky act, he was still very respectful when I asked questions / had concern about the ouija board (we did Sleepover Slaughterhouse, hardest level). Amazingly, we finished the game after having to pick our brains for an hour. We even got a little extra time. If you're looking for a brain-puzzling and stimulating activity, I highly recommend the Bond's Room! It's fun and you don't find many experiences like it. read more

The different clues and codes to secret doors and compartments is mind blowing. It was a great time and great experience saving the White House even my 7 year old enjoyed it. We went to Bonds Escape room to work off our dinner through an escape room. We picked the Sleepover Slaughterhouse room to challenge ourselves a bit since we've all done a few escape rooms before. Overall, it was a really fun experience and the room and puzzles were really well thought out -- challenging but feasible. We had a great game master to top it off-- Marly did a fantastic job introducing the game and also giving us a helping nudge whenever we needed one! We did the Art Attack and it was totally worth the extra fee. It was perfect for folks that don't like spooky. Professor Spector (Zachary) was super helpful and friendly. We found the puzzles to be perfect for an easier challenge but it still took us a while to get through it. The splatter part was so fun. I was glad that they provided ponchos and hairnets and foot covers so we didn't have to worry about the paint. I felt like an hour was the perfect amount of time for the puzzles and the paint time. I really enjoyed the Death by Chocolate room! My team and I didn't get out in time (we had to go about five minutes over), but I loved all of the puzzles! I tend to like escape rooms that aren't super lock/key code heavy, so this was right up my alley. And I also really enjoyed the overall look/design of the room. Without giving much away, the props were super cute and creative. You can tell someone spent a lot of time and energy crafting this particular escape room, and I super appreciate it! We'll be back next weekend to try The Sleepover Slaughterhouse! read more

A little on the expensive side and the room and tricks seem to be a little worn. But the escape room was fun and the staff friendly.

This is a fun event for kids, especially for small birthday parties - the the rooms are smaller, the escapes are well designed and thoughtful. The place as a whole is not big but they have plenty of space for the breakout. I especially recommend the Art Attack for smaller kids as they'll have fun with the paint splatter. read more

My partner and I absolutely love escape rooms (we've probably played at least 40) and we make it a point to run through a bunch of them at a place when we visit an area. We tried Bond's, insomnia escape rooms and escape room DC. We enjoyed both Bond's and Insomnia games a lot. Our game masters Nora and Will at Bond's were friendly, engaging and highly entertaining. The rooms we played (saloon, castle, and death by chocolate) were all well put together, with reasonably challenging puzzles. My group of 3 played the Elf escape room. We had the room to ourselves per COVID. The event starts out with a really cheesey video that adds nothing to the game. This room was a little different from other escape rooms in that there were no locks so the type of puzzles are different - which can be fun. Where this particular room let me down was production value. The elements in the room were pretty banged up. Aside from that, some of the puzzles we had solved but the execution mechanism was so kludgey that the game master had to come in and do it for us. I still had fun and I'd try other games at this location but Bonds isn't at the top of my list of escape room brands. read more

I went with a few people who claimed they were amazing at escape rooms, but we had a rough time discovering the first clue. While all escape rooms are run for profit, not all are run through passion. It's clear from the moment you walk into Bond's Escape Room that this is their passion and they love what they do. The foyer has a coffee shop vibe to it with lots of places to sit, inspirational sayings on the walls, a variety of snack and beverage options, and a bunch of board games to play if you have to wait for your room. My folks were in town for the Christmas holiday, and they wanted something they could do with one of their friends, the grandchildren and me. So we settled on Bond's Escape Room. After carefully reviewing the choices, I booked The Enchanted Castle. (If it were just my friends and me, I may have opted for "Sleepover Slaughterhouse," but I thought it might be a bit rich for the three 80+ year-olds-in our party.) As it turned out, the gentleman I spoke with over the phone (Andrew) was also our game host, and you could tell from the outset that he was full of the aforementioned passion. (Don't take this to mean he was a hyped-up cheerleader. On the contrary, his droll, dry wit was what made his game intro so endearing.) After a brief introduction, we were left alone in the Castle Room, with a walkie talkie, and to our own devices. The experience levels of our group varied greatly as one of my sons has played more than 100 escape rooms, while one of the other guests had played none. But everybody was able to contribute, and we managed to solve the final puzzle with fewer than two minutes to spare. One thing I wanted to mention was Andrew's sensitivity and observation. He noticed that one in our group was wearing hearing aids, and he discreetly gave me a transcript of the audio portion of the puzzle, in case it was needed. This was a big help and greatly appreciated. We had a brief opportunity to chat with Andrew a bit after the game, and he shared that the reason our seasoned player had seen things he never saw before was that Bond's creates and builds all their rooms from scratch. I know that there are a lot of franchise packages on the market for escape rooms, and it made it extra-special to know we were having a one-of-a-kind experience. The one piece of advice I'd leave for future visitors to Bond's Escape Room is to plan ahead for parking. While there is street parking available, it is Clarendon and it's not guaranteed. I took the phone advice Andrew gave me when I booked the reservation and also booked a parking spot in the adjacent garage. We saved a LOT by doing it online (I think it was three or four dollars, as opposed to $12 if you just show up and take a ticket from the machine.) Not all escape rooms are created equal, and Bond's Escape room is indeed one of the elites. read more

This is a great escape room venue. My wife and I have done a number of escape rooms pre-COVID. We finally got a date night and tried a quarantine friendly escape room. It was our first time at Bonds, we did the magical elf forrest one and it was a ton of fun. It was very different from prior rooms (in a good and refreshing way). Andrew was the person who help us tonight and he did a great job, he was professional and fun. They also take cleaning/sanitizing/masks seriously (you actually wear masks even during the game), which was a plus for safety. Overall we strongly recommend, we are going to come back here and try other games soon. read more
