Delicious and the latticed top like a strudel makes it a perfect amount of dough to fillings. The Monterey we will try again. Delicious.

The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside with a warm, creamy center. They were topped generously with fresh parmesan and paired with a rich pink sauce that really elevated the flavor--definitely a standout appetizer. The rigatoni with chicken cutlet was just as impressive. The pasta tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, and the chicken cutlet was tender, crispy, and full of flavor. The pink sauce (labeled as spicy vodka) was absolutely delicious--more savory and creamy than spicy, which made it super enjoyable and well-balanced. Overall, everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend trying both dishes.

If a restaurant is going to add that kind of charge, it should be clearly disclosed upfront before customers order or make reservations. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to justifying the extra cost. The steaks were badly overcooked, the food was mediocre at best, and there were large flies throughout the restaurant, which made the meal even more unpleasant. I understand that Mother's Day is a busy day for restaurants, but being busy does not give a business a free pass to surprise customers with excessive charges or deliver poor food and service. The 20% surcharge felt unfair and left a very bad impression. I willnot return, and I would strongly recommend that customers check their bill carefully before paying. I ordered the braised short ribs, which were phenomenal. tender, richly flavored, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The veggies on the side were spot on, cooked perfectly, not too soft or too firm, just the right balance that let their natural flavors shine through. My guest had the steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. What impressed us most was that the waiter even asked us to cut into it right away to ensure it was exactly how we wanted, so we could keep it hot and enjoy it at its best. We also tried their special cocktail, the Blue Fog, a wild creation topped with a bubble filled with smoke. It turned heads all around us; everyone was asking what it was. It didn't just look incredible,it tasted amazing, too. Throughout the meal, our waiter made sure everything was to our liking and even asked for our honest opinions on anything they could improve, which showed they really care about their guests' experiences. This place set the bar high, and I'll be back every time I'm in town. Highly recommended!

What worked: -- servers and staff were all very kind -- there's decent menu variety and something for everyone to enjoy -- the music and vibe inside was a nice mix of busy yet intimate, it's a great place for a date or fancy night out What didn't work: -- I think this is likely due to it being Valentines Day, but the service was pretty spotty. Servers almost gave us someone else's food twice and it took a while for our food to get to our table. -- my dish (shrimp primavera) could have had a little more going for it! The pasta and veggies could have been a little more seasoned (and I would have loved more veggies), and the shrimp was waaaaay too salty, it was difficult to eat it all. It definitely wasn't a bad dish but a few small tweaks could have made it really wonderful Overall, I'd come here again! I think this might have just been an off night and I'd love to return to try some of their other dishes. The environment was a pleasant one to be in and I enjoyed the meal (and, of course, the company).

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The place is beautiful.

I give it 5 stars because of the overall experience. Great cocktails, great service, spectacular food. Definitely will go back again and again.

Would like to give a review on my experience in your establishment. Today was my second time in two…read moredays visiting your restaurant. Last night, my four kids and I came. They went in, stayed in the car. They came back and told me it would be a 30-minute wait, so I said fine. Well, when they notified me the table was ready, I went in for the first time. There were two girls at the desk; they looked at me with blank faces, never greeting me or asking how they could help. I proceeded to tell the young lady that I got a message saying my table was ready. She never looked up. She then told the other girl to seat them at table 5, then said no, seat them at table 3; at this point, there was still no proper acknowledgment, which was very rude. The waiter, a ginger, male had a great personality the whole night. Now, I must say the other problem was the seating; I had a family of four and was seated in a two-sitter booth. Besides that, the food was great, with no complaints on that end. Because of the waiter, I just shrugged off my experience with the front desk. I went next door and purchased some cheesecake for the kids and called it a night. But today I returned and brought my two nephews, so I sent them in to see the wait, and they called me and said a table was ready. They were already seated when I arrived, so I walked in, and at this point, there were four girls at the desk. I said hi, "My two nephews have just been seated." Still, no smile, no "let me take you to them." I mean, not one of these girls took the time to properly address me. The young lady responded and said, "Straight down that way, you'll see them." So, I had to seat myself. At this point, my daughter arrived and came in. She told one of the girls at the desk, "I'm meeting my mother and my two cousins," still with a blank face. So, she called me and said, "Mom, where are you seated?" | had to guide her in. Once again, the waiter was awesome, the food was great, so we wrapped up our lunch. I proceeded to exit, and as I was walking past these same rude girls, I heard one of them say, "Yeah, girl, he's rich." So, I turned around, and three of them were looking at me, one hanging off the desk back turned facing The girls didn't even have the audacity to turn around. I tapped her on her shoulder and asked, "What is your name?" She said, "Jasmine." "Why?" I said, "Thank you," and proceeded towards the door. I went next door and purchased cheesecake, which I walked in and Alicia greeted us with a smile and helped us out very professionally. Now, I'm writing this review because I will not return to your establishment after today's experience. Whoever trained these young ladies needs to put them back through training. At this point, I'm not sure if they realize that they are the first person customers interact with, which could literally make or break the experience the customer has. They should always have a smile on their face and always properly greet each and every customer. I mean, you could walk into Subway, and they would even say, "Welcome to Subway." I've worked in customer service, and they need to understand they are the first face the customer sees. I was shocked at the behavior and personality of your front desk, and that was enough for me to throw in the towel. I will not be returning to your establishment for these reasons, not because of the food, not because of the waiters, but because of the faces you have at your front desk, which is not welcoming an very rude

I took a star off due to the seating..horribly tight seating and not enough tabletop space for cocktails, water glasses, appetizers, etc and way too loud. Kept hearing dishes being banged, etc everything just seemed to echo. Our waitress was friendly and engaging and definitely busy. The ambiance is casual and unfortunately not a great location for large groups. Here's what we had. Cocktail: 1. Old Fashioned: 4/10, bourbon was a bit too "oaky" I would have preferred WhistlePig, Buffalo Trace or Angels Envy. Cherry garnishment was thrown in the glass, no pick. Just a sad cocktail. Appetizers: 1. French fries; shoestring potatoes 10/10 2. Fried Artichoke Hearts: Lightly Fried Artichoke Hearts Served with Basil Cream. Unfortunately, there were so many bracts (tough leaves), we had to keep spitting them out. But the artichoke hearts were fantastic. 7/10 Mains: 1. FREE-RANGE CHICKEN MARSALA Rocky's Pasture Raised Chicken, Cremini Mushrooms, a Creamy Marsala Wine Sauce, atop hand-cut Pasta, served with Sautéed Vegetables. Overall the dish was fantastic, except for the overcooked pasta. 8/10 2. ALFREDO DÍ BUFALA Bronze cut Pappardelle pasta, Bistro Creamy Alfredo Sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano & Pecorino Romano, Parsley add free range chicken breast for an additional fee. Pasta and chicken were cooked perfectly. 10/10 3. Red wine reduction steak with asparagus and roasted potatoes 10/10 Dessert: 1. Pistachio Cake: a light cake, perfect way to end a meal. 10/10 2. Chocolate Cake: 7/10 (reminded me of a Costco sheet cake (basic chocolate cake with a mousse chocolate filling) nothing special. Despite the misses, I would eat here again.
