Went there for their lunch buffet the ambience was so so typical pizza place. The salad bar was OK. Nothing great but a lot of choices. The pizza was OK nothing great they cut it in a real small pieces and it was OK. I was not impressed with the pizza, I don't think we will be going back. read more

First, I only get pizza from Mt. mikes, I am a long time regular loyal customer. I usually order from the Mooney location, being as it is closest to my house. Well, I decided to test if Mooney was more or less or equal to its sister branch on Walnut because it was good (Mooney Branch that is), better than the competition for sure (ie roundtable and me in eds, etc.), but not quite what I remembered. So I experimented with the walnut branch Well Walnut branch i have a complaint, sorry but I'm pissed! Now I gotta pay more for gas and give more time driving to your location, sumbeach, you mofos be twice as far from my house than the mooney branch! Oh and now I will have to choose to either; balloon up or get more of my nemisis, my arch enemy, the evil... cardio You know why, I'll tell you why! I want to start this off by saying, I've had my bad experience with mountain Mike's. I've hated it for so long and for some reason, decided to doordash it on Christmas Eve. Honestly it was the only pizza place open. TO MY SUPRISE. 60$ later, a large pepperoni pizza with black olives and la got sausage, paired with cheese garlic bread with onion added to it. To say the least, delicious. The pizza is heavy on dough honestly, but not in a bad way. It's extremely delicious topped with huge chunks of sausage that otherwise compliment and counter act the dough from being too much. They aren't shy with the cheese either, and again that isn't a bad thing! Let me just say that all around, I have no complaints with the pizza. It was delicious, the garlic cheese breadsticks hit so well too. I'd definitely recommend mountain Mike's, at least the walnut location. Plus good draft beer? Can't go wrong there. If you want some of the best pepperonis you've ever had as well as a slice of pie that will fill you up entirely, this is your spot. Great little pizza place to find on Yelp while visiting the area. We took advantage of their specials that night which was a large 1 topping for $12.99 and the Snowy Alps specialty pizza. The crust was decent flavor and texture and came out the thickness of a hand tossed style pizza. The toppings of cheese were generous which made this 1 topping pizza very satisfying. The Snowy Alps had a creamy white garlic sauce and topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, and green onions. The toppings covered the entire pizza and were not skimpy. Great portioning and the flavor was quite good I would order this pizza again. Mountain Mike's has somewhat of a sports bar atmosphere that is family friendly. They serve beer and have several large TV's throughout and even a small game area where kids can burn of some steam. During lunch they have a pizza buffet with a salad bar for a quick meal. You can request and of their specialty pizzas to be placed on the bar and share with others who are dining in. Wednesday's only the serve a dinner buffet where the same process applies. They will put up the popular pizzas but if you want to try any others just put in a request and they will be happy to place it on the buffet. read more

This was my second time eating Mountain Mike's (last time was in Bakersfield) and overall it's pretty good pizza, but it ain't cheap! My issue was with the customer service. I had ordered a large pizza with extra sauce and pineapple on half and my total was around $18, as I had a coupon. Then I decided to add pepperoni to the pineapple half and the price jumped to like $24. I asked the cashier why the jump and he said that they typically add more cheese to the plain cheese half. So they decided to add more cheese after I asked for pepperoni and then charge me for it? Huh?! First of all, I never asked for more cheese. Second, there was most definitely not more cheese, it was average, which I realized once I had left. Also, while in the store I asked for crushed peppers and lots of Parmesan. Dude puts two packets of peppers and three parm in a bag. What a waste of a bag! So I asked for more parm and he generously gives me two more. HA! Are they hard up for money?! I almost went to Me N Ed's. Lesson learned. Waaaay cheaper pizza, they don't skim on cheap packets of peppers/cheese and they're more generous with toppings. The Wednesday night buffet was kind of a dud. I had to ask them to make pizza because there was very little pizza and it wasn't fresh. There was only two other families here. I'm not a big fan of the pizza, I must say. The crust is very thick and too sweet. They have a bacon pizza that's decent and hides the sweetness of the dough. I ordered gluten free crust online. I was allowed to choose white sauce and later found out that part was not gluten free. It should not be an option if you want and need a gluten free pizza sauce. read more

We ordered an extra large pepperoni pizza for New Year's Eve. The pizza arrived on time but both of the tales that would normally be sealed were already completely opened. We didn't notice until the driver left. We tipped 15% and paid extra for delivery. It is unsettling to eat food that was opened before we received it. We don't know if it went to someone else's house or whether the driver opened it. We don't return it. The pizza looked okay. Of course there is no way to know whether someone contaminated it. The service was excellent! The place was very clean and we saw the employees working hard to keep it clean and disinfected. They put forth a lot of effort and it shows. But the pizza.... was OUTSTANDING. It was like a time machine to my childhood. You can tell that they get great quality ingredients and toppings. It was very busy that night, but the service was quick and accurate. And like I said, the pizza was first rate. I highly recommend this Mountain Mikes. Come eat here. Bring your friends. I've had Mountain Mike's Pizza twice in my life, the first time and the last time. Absolutely the worst food I've ever eaten. The monkey kabobs I had in Subic Bay were better. No sauce, almost no cheese, too thick crust cooked in too hot an oven. Inside of crust was undercooked. Bottom of crust was burnt. Couldn't even eat it. Just threw it away. Granted, the prices were up there, but so was the quality of the pizzas. They give you all the side goods (parm cheese, pepper flakes and ranch) and also allow you to split toppings on the pizza.
