I arrived early and the lady at the front desk greeted me was quite chipper considering it was 5:20am. The bus driver was helpful and helped me tag my bag. The bus was so comfortable and quiet, it also had free wifi. For my return journey I accidentally was waiting at the incorrect stop (the drop off location), the bus driver from the first ride recognized me and pointed me in the right direction. I thankfully made it to the right spot. The employees are kind, helpful and work hard to get you to your destination. I would definitely use SB Airbus again.

I am very thankful for Santa Barbara Airbus getting me from Goleta to LAX on time. I was caught in…read moretraffic during my drive down from Lompoc, CA, and the driver, passengers, and staff were very helpful in making sure I was accommodated. I left my car at the Goleta terminal, as I have done in the past. As a side note, I also wanted to ask whether there is still a discount for customers who drive down from Lompoc, since doing so saves Santa Barbara Airbus fuel, time, and labor. Either way, while the departure from Goleta was hectic, it was ultimately successful, and I appreciated the assistance. Unfortunately, my return experience was not as positive. When I arrived back in Goleta, I noticed that my car was not parked in the front lot, where it has always been in the past. I asked the driver if he could help me get my car and my keys. He had already unloaded my luggage and was seated back in the driver's seat. When I asked for assistance, he casually shrugged his shoulders and appeared unconcerned. At that point, it was after 10:00 PM. Although we had arrived about 35 minutes early, I was standing in the parking lot with my luggage and no clear direction about where my car was or how I was supposed to retrieve it. I finally had to ask the driver if he was simply going to leave me and my luggage there and drive away. Only then did he ask me for my name and phone number again, make a call, and begin looking for a solution. After about 15 minutes, a very kind young lady came to assist me. She explained that she was "on call" that evening, confirmed my name, showed me to my car, and pleasantly helped me continue on my way back to Lompoc. I truly appreciated her professionalism and kindness. However, I did pay for parking. Only the first five days were free, and I was charged for two additional days based on my return date. Someone forgot to move my car to the front parking area and failed to inform the driver about my keys. That oversight placed the driver in an awkward position, required another staff member to come assist me after hours, and delayed my trip home after a long day of travel. Santa Barbara Airbus is better than this. Extending a 17-hour travel day because of a preventable communication failure is not the level of service I have come to expect. I hope this matter can be reviewed so that future passengers are not left in the same situation.

After comparing several options to get to LAX, I decided to try Ventura County Airporter Shuttle…read more My decision was mainly based on costs, $50 each way, total $100. Tips are additional. This was my first time taking the shuttle to and from LAX. I took an uber to the pickup location in Ventura, which is on the left side of the hotel. The shuttle arrived on time and it went onward to the Oxnard pickup location. The ride to LAX was smooth, under 1.5 hours. The driver was friendly and professional. On my return trip, it was easy to find the orange shared rides pick up locations. I arrived earlier than expected so wanted to take an earlier shuttle than I originally scheduled for. The driver easily accommodated this. The ride back to Ventura was also smooth. As I was exhausted from my trip I slept practically the whole ride back. This is a great economical option to get to and from LAX, especially for a long trip since the parking fees can be quite costly.

The vans are rough and loud, in fact they are so rough, some of the bumps are almost painful. I tried them again recently and for some reason the driver took PCH from LAX to Ventura. This was a hot July Saturday so we shared the road with the thousands of people that were going to the beach that day. WAZE and Google maps showed light traffic on the freeways. It is mind boggling that the driver would take the route she did. I am determined to make this my last ride on them. I checked Uber prices and if there are two people, Uber is slightly more expensive. If there are 3, Uber is less expensive. Plus the Santa Barbara Airbus now stops in Oxnard.

A helpful FBO, maintenance and repair shop, and flying school at the east end of Camarillo airport…read more(the map that goes with this review is badly wrong at the time the review was written, but the address -- 50 Durley -- is basically correct). The owner Larry and his staff (especially Heather, Tommy, and Brian) helped me beyond the call of duty when a Cirrus SR-20 I was flying developed electrical problems and required alternator repairs a few weeks ago. The rental aircraft at Skyblue -- including a bunch of Cirruses -- looked to be in good shape and were competitively priced, and there was a very diverse bunch of aircraft (ranging from 152's through hi-end Cirruses to turbine twins to Yak jets...) being worked on in Skyblue's hangars. I can think of worse places to fetch up for a few days with a broken Cirrus (at least I didn't own the damn plane) :-).

Please reconsider coming here. I was an employee here at this company a few years ago. At this…read moretime I had desperately needed a job for financial reasons mainly because I was pregnant. Sky Blue Air had hired me because one of their female employees who worked the front desk could no longer work the hours that the company needed her to work. They needed someone full time so that's when I stepped in. Everything was going great. A few days had passed at work. In the afternoon the owner's direct assistant passed by my desk nice as always. We started a small conversation and I had mentioned that I was pregnant. He immediately became upset and said " Why didn't you tell me this from the begining!" The day had passed and the next day I showed up to work only to find out that I was fired. The owner's direct assistant handed me a personal check for my previous hours with the owner's signature. Their reason for firing me was that the employee who had left previous to me working, now needed her hours back at the front desk. My husband had also worked at the same airport and would fuel Sky Blue's airplanes from time to time and never once saw the lady at the front desk that "they hired back." I called the owner's assistant to tell him that what they did was wrong for firing a pregnant woman to skip out on pay for maternity leave, only of coarse to be hung up on. I ended up being malnurished due to financial difficulties at this time of not being able to afford much food and also ended up with scoliosis. Point is Sky Blue may have good maitenance and a good flying school but morally need some reajustments.
