I used their service once for a one way ride to LAX for a business trip. I honestly thought I reserved a multi-passenger shuttle because the price was not as high as I'd been quoted by others. The driver arrived on time and communicated with me as they were approaching and we were immediately on our way. The ride was great I think because the driver understand how to drive with a passenger. Unlike the majority of my experience with Uber, who are not "professional" drivers. Our family of 6 recently used To & Fro for transportation to and from LAX for our trip to Hawaii. The van that picked us up was a great surprise, with bench seating, colorful strip lighting, and two TV screens. Our almost-13-year-old grandson went from moping about being forced to spend a week with his family, to delightedly exploring all the electronics in the cabin. Our driver was very gracious, and had all of our luggage stowed before we realized what was happening. It was a happy and exciting start to our vacation. On our return, we were met by two drivers at the baggage claim area. They waited with us, and transported all our luggage out to two SUV's in the nearby parking garage. We would have loved to have had another ride in the van, but two SUV's allowed us to be dropped off at our two houses. At the end of a long, uncomfortable flight, it was wonderful to settle into the cushy seats and just relax. Our driver even had bottles of cold water waiting for us. Everyone we dealt with, from the first email contact and phone conversations to driving and followup, was personable and very efficient. They answered all our questions, and even searched for our 10-year-old's lost Aloha baseball cap. (We found it two days later underneath the recliner where he likes to sit and play with his iPad.) I had an important flight to catch from SNA (John Wayne Airport) and needed a ride I could count on. I booked To & Fro after seeing all the 5 star ratings. I called in, told them the time of departure, and they calculated a pickup time which would give me ample time to arrive and to get through security. The day before my ride, I got email/text confirmations with my driver's contact info and time of pickup. On the day of, Steve, my driver, arrived a little earlier than expected*. Unfortunately, I waited until the last minute to book a ride from John Wayne to Camarillo for my return trip, and all the drivers were unavailable. This is totally understandable since I tried to book a driver on the same day and speaks to the amount of business that they do. Lesson learned; call ahead at least a day in advance! *At my destination, a driver from another service planned to arrive "on time" as my flight landed, which was actually late because my flight landed early! read more
