I am very thankful for Santa Barbara Airbus getting me from Goleta to LAX on time. I was caught in traffic during my drive down from Lompoc, CA, and the driver, passengers, and staff were very helpful in making sure I was accommodated. I left my car at the Goleta terminal, as I have done in the past. As a side note, I also wanted to ask whether there is still a discount for customers who drive down from Lompoc, since doing so saves Santa Barbara Airbus fuel, time, and labor. Either way, while the departure from Goleta was hectic, it was ultimately successful, and I appreciated the assistance. Unfortunately, my return experience was not as positive. When I arrived back in Goleta, I noticed that my car was not parked in the front lot, where it has always been in the past. I asked the driver if he could help me get my car and my keys. He had already unloaded my luggage and was seated back in the driver's seat. When I asked for assistance, he casually shrugged his shoulders and appeared unconcerned. At that point, it was after 10:00 PM. Although we had arrived about 35 minutes early, I was standing in the parking lot with my luggage and no clear direction about where my car was or how I was supposed to retrieve it. I finally had to ask the driver if he was simply going to leave me and my luggage there and drive away. Only then did he ask me for my name and phone number again, make a call, and begin looking for a solution. After about 15 minutes, a very kind young lady came to assist me. She explained that she was "on call" that evening, confirmed my name, showed me to my car, and pleasantly helped me continue on my way back to Lompoc. I truly appreciated her professionalism and kindness. However, I did pay for parking. Only the first five days were free, and I was charged for two additional days based on my return date. Someone forgot to move my car to the front parking area and failed to inform the driver about my keys. That oversight placed the driver in an awkward position, required another staff member to come assist me after hours, and delayed my trip home after a long day of travel. Santa Barbara Airbus is better than this. Extending a 17-hour travel day because of a preventable communication failure is not the level of service I have come to expect. I hope this matter can be reviewed so that future passengers are not left in the same situation. read more

I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. It was my first time using SB Airbus and I was not disappointed. I arrived early and the lady at the front desk greeted me was quite chipper considering it was 5:20am. The bus driver was helpful and helped me tag my bag. The bus was so comfortable and quiet, it also had free wifi. For my return journey I accidentally was waiting at the incorrect stop (the drop off location), the bus driver from the first ride recognized me and pointed me in the right direction. I thankfully made it to the right spot. The employees are kind, helpful and work hard to get you to your destination. I would definitely use SB Airbus again. read more

If you're traveling from Ventura to LAX, they're the least expensive commercial option. But...and this is a big BUT for me, I dislike paying more per ride because I'm traveling alone. The company gives a $5 discount per person per trip if two or more sign up together. I'm sorry, but I don't think that's fair. It's not like a single booking a double cruise room. SBAirbus is outstanding at customer service, transportation, safety, and professionalism! Last week, I picked up my luggage as the bus had passed my terminal. I called the office: 1. Someone ANSWERED. 2. I was notified they had just passed my terminal, but OFFERED A SOLUTION. If I could make it over to the next terminal, the bus would wait for me (wow!). I marathon ran and after what seemed like an eternity, I was nowhere near the bus. I called to thank them for waiting and said they could leave me. They would not leave me. They asked where I was and said they would wait. I continued running and finally caught up with the bus. The driver and helper were incredibly nice. No one was mad about the wait and the bus still kept to its arrival schedule. This saved me a 2 hour wait for the 7:30 bus and got me home ultimately by 9 pm. I can not thank SBAirbus enough for such outstanding service! Founders Erik, Tim, and Samantha have so much to be proud of! Thank you. Just took it for the first time and it went very smoothly. I did the pickup from the Camarillo Metrolink and the bus was on time and loading was seamless. The bus was clean and comfortable and about half full on a Friday morning. The parking lot says that you can park for up to a week. I think it's free--but double check. If you buy your ticket more than 48 hours before your ride you also get a discount. I would use this again. read more

Beware... purchased 2 roundtrip tickets to LAX. Could not use due to COVID. Airbus refused to refund. There was no expiration date language on the tickets and they stated I could use later. Tried to use later and they said they wouldn't honor them because they "expired". Not nice about it and kept my $192. Save yourself the hassle and bait and switch "expiration" and take a Lyft or Van Nuys Park N Fly. They don't wait, acknowledge your reservation or park in designated orange shared rides area! They will park down the way and just pass you up. Had to wait 2 1/2 hours for the next bus after a red eye, after I had been standing in designated area for 30 min! After calling the agent so kindly advise I go to Dunkin' Donuts to kill time! Wtf! How about the shuttle wait or notice me waving as I'm standing in the area I'm supposed to. I hadn't used this service in many years, as I mostly fly out of Santa Barbara. However, my flight to Indonesia was substantially cheaper out of LAX so I decided to use the Airbus to get there in lieu of driving and parking down in LA which has become increasingly pricey, especially when you factor in the Uber ride to/from your parking lot. The buses run like a Swiss watch - exactly on time - and we even got to the airport 20 minutes early! They offer three pickups in SB County (Goleta, SB and Carp) - I chose their headquarters in Goleta. I only wish they would offer a later bus than 10pm from LAX as I may miss it as my flight arrives at 8:50pm. However, if this happens, I will get a credit for a future trip. The price is reasonable - $120 round trip. And the bus is clean, has wi-fi, bathroom, and the driver was knowledgeable and up to date about the airport construction. He advised me to get off at Terminal 4 for American Airlines even though I was taking an international flight (due to construction, all AA flights check in at Terminal 4 and then have to walk to Terminal B for their flight.) Highly recommend this service if you have to fly to LAX!! read more

The Santa Barbara Airbus was a lifesaver today! After arriving to SBA with less than 45 minutes to our plane departure (though truthfully with 5 minutes to spare yet the front baggage check systems were down), United had to rebook us on a later flight to Knoxville, TN. Instead of have a triple leg, all day flight leaving out of Santa Barbara, we looked at options to fly out of LAX. With an LAX departure, we then would have the dreaded LA morning rush hour drive plus the need to pay for overpriced airport parking. We looked up the Airbus schedule and they had a bus from Goleta to LAX departing just half an hour later. We took an Uber from SBA to the Airbus station, purchased our e-tickets on their website, and we're on a bus to LAX before we knew it! The Airbus offers affordable parking on-site if you need to leave your car there. You don't have the stress of driving to LAX, the pricey parking, and we can still fly back home to SBA without changing our return flight. The Airbus Goleta station has clean restrooms and a water/snack bar honor system. The staff was extremely friendly at the front desk and Rick our driver made us feel better about the situation. Since we were smiling at 5:00 AM, so was he. The bus is very clean, quiet, and has a bathroom and complimentary Wi-Fi. Although our day is longer, we have saved ourselves from more stress and we get to enjoy the sunrise while riding along the PCH. read more

I was at terminal 1 at LAX around 12:30PM today, one of your driver's proceeded to block my car in and refused to move. We realized we were parked in the wrong area and were trying to move as quickly as possible, but in his opinion we were "taking to long". Your driver was very rude and unprofessional, I was about to call the police. I attempted to call your 800 number, but they were just as rude. Please try and hire people with a little more professionalism. read more

My wife and I were in Carpinteria, California and we needed a ride down to LAX, after staying 7 weeks in California. The bus was perfectly on time and where they said they would be. The driver was super cool and put our two bags in the hold and got them out for us when we got to the airport. The view was wonderful on the way down over the ocean and the driver let us know when we should expect to be at the airport. The bus was super comfortable and plenty of overhead space for carry-ons. I would highly recommend this service for travelling from Carpinteria to LAX. I think it was about a hour and a half drive. read more

Bus arrived 20 mins late at LAX. Then proceeded to drive to the bus lot and parked for 10 mins to tell us that the estimated arrival times and tell us about his cooler of drinks for sale. Not sure why the driver just didnt tell us while driving. His delay resulted in our arrival 1 hr later than scheduled. I prepaid for an LAX shuttle service from their new Camarillo stop for four passengers on Dec 16. Prior to online payment, I contacted them, and their customer service was friendly. They even advertise in their website regarding for paying extra for adding empty seat next to you. However, upon boarding with my wife and two kids, despite the advance payment for four reserved seats, there were no available seats for us to sit together. The attached pictures depict passengers occupying individual seats with their belongs, even when traveling together!!! I sought the driver's help, who called for volunteers to sit together. Fortunately, one passenger moved, and we found two seats. However, the driver insisted my wife and I sit separately and either hold our child on our laps or use a separate seat. This situation shows their poor management approach and not having and plan for seating passenger considering the advance booking for four passengers. Upon contacting customer service, the attitude was different. Speaking with the manager revealed a first-come, first-served policy.. Despite expressing dissatisfaction, the manager encouraged me to share my experience with others. While my family initially looked forward to the new Camarillo stop, the poor management and reluctance to improve services marred the experience. I decided to not using their service anymore until the management plan to change his attitude and try to implement better services. The current claim of paying extra to avoid awkward encounters is contradicted by the actual seating scenario. The management should simply improve their services and implementing some new arrangement for seating people specifically people are traveling together to be seated next to each other while they reserved in advance. Not the current situation that even the group of people are traveling together prefer to occupy one seat and put their belong in the next seat that is shown in this picture !!! read more

I love the Santa Barbara Airbus! It's such a convenient option when I fly out of LAX. There is a wide range of available times from early morning to late at night, and they are very flexible about changing pickup time if your flight is early or late. They have always been on time and I never miss a flight when taking the Airbus. Bringing on your suitcase is free (at least your first one) and the seats are spacious and comfortable with power outlets. This is a great service and I so appreciate it being available! read more

The Airbus resumed service May 6, 2021 after a long and unfortunate COVID absence. Amazing how other bus lines managed to continue service during the pandemic, yet they couldn't. Regardless, It's still the best and most efficient way to get from the coast to LAX, although long-term parking is only available at their Goleta location, which is located close to the Santa Barbara Airport [SBA]. Their long-term parking is expensive, so it's best to get dropped off. Now that Southwest Airlines has started servicing SBA, we have more local flight options than before, however flights are almost always cheaper from LAX than from SBA. Anyone who tries to fight the traffic all the way from Santa Barbara to LAX, and then tries to park (at $20/day) is absolutely insane! read more

Have used the bus several times as my son is a freshman at UCSB. It's nice, safe, reliable and today, as he had a reservation for 2 from Goleta to LAX, 5 min before the bus was scheduled to leave they actually called me because my son wasn't there yet. They let me know he had a couple of extra minutes because of spring break travel and to call them etc. to see how close he was. Anyhow, to me, that is above and beyond class A service. Plus you can always call and talk to someone if you have a question. They also have some student quick turn around discounts. Highly recommend! read more

Santa Barbara Airbus to the rescue! They salvaged what had been a horrible trip across country. My daughter had to reroute into LAX just to get to California. There were no car rentals available. She was so tired after having multiple plane problems we just needed a way to get her from LAX to SB. So I booked later tickets on SB Airbus just in case she needed them. When we couldn't find a rental car and she was already in the air, I called SB to see if they thought she might make an earlier bus, because it had already been a long day. Customer service was FANTASTIC, they gave me exact instructions on where to meet the bus, they sent her a gps tracker so she could watch the bus make its way to her, and they everybody called her to make sure she was there. Above and beyond!! And the bus was very very nice, clean and comfortable so it worked out better than if she had got a rental. She was just able to relax the last part of her trip. And they had a broken door, no back up plan, and continued to pick up passengers even after keeping others waiting who will now be a couple of hours late arriving in SB...no back up plan, time occurrence was the worst traffic in LA...if you want to be sure to arrive at LAX or get back to SB when scheduled...think again...make other plans...this company has one job, pick up and delivery in a timely way...they can't honor that! read more

We rode from LAX to Goleta and were very impressed by the high quality of the service. The bus arrived with enough anticipation that we weren't rushed. The driver - Mr David Wills - was very friendly and professional. An interesting point was that they offered to call for taxis for those passengers getting off at the next station. We were originally planning to rent a car but this is a much more convenient alternative, highly recommended! read more
