Coming here from San Diego. This is probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. Tex mex is the way to go. Literally got the shrimp diablo house Special with mozzarella cheese all on top and it was delightful. They have music vendors coming in and out of the place. Pretty awesome. Food came with soup and chips.

We ordered the shrimp ceviche tostada and fish tacos. Both plates were delicious, and as lunch specials, cheap! The shrimp was fresh and the tostada was LOADED with it. They asked if the fish should be grilled or fried. I tried it fried and it was excellent--flaky and the batter was tasty. The restaurant itself is a bit on the dingy side and could stand a deep clean and sprucing up. The drinks were also pricey--a Mexican Coke was $3.50 and a Topo Chico was $2.50. Those prices could definitely be lower considering how inexpensive they are at other establishments. Highly recommend however, and I will definitely be returning.

Flavor was amazing in shrimp tacos! They were crunchy though which I have never had. Shrimp Diablo was AMAZING and had mozzarella cheese which was unique. The flavor was perfect although it could have been a tad spicier. Open late night so stop by if you're in the area! Only complaint is service was a little slow even though only four tables were seated.

Main course was Camarones a la diabla & coctel de camarones! First of all, one waitress for like the whole restaurant. The coctel was hot keep in mind these are to be eaten cold! Probably the worst part of it honestly. The restaurant is kind of dirty and the utensils were sticky!

Awesome place, the food was great and great service. I had guachinango mojo de ajo and loved it. We had shrimp cocktail and we enjoyed it. Great seafood at a good price.

The best seafood restaurant in San Antonio! Have tried almost everything off the menu and everything is delicious! The Michelada's are sooooo good!!! The service is great. My family and I are always treated as family when we walk through the doors. Every plate is decently priced! Would highly recommend this restaurant!!

Why did the cameron pelado close on pleasenton road?

The X partners didn’t let us know. We really didn’t have anything to do with them the last few years they were open

Thats has to be hands down the best damn fried fish in San Antonio! The Crawfish Étouffée was off the damn hook as well , but the fish is fried and seasoned to perfection , crispy yet airy and light, tender flaky fish , and just the right amount of lemon pepper flavor without being super salty! I truly cannot wait to try the rest of the menu! BUT WHEN I DO, it will always include a piece of lemon pepper fish fried hard

When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. There was a guy there that was picking up wing and he stated that they were the best and big pieces. So he showed me how to order. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. It best to order online then go pick up. The restroom were locked so that is why I gave 4 and we weren't able to speak with no one. If you need any special thing or extras please write it I. The space provided because they don't give you anything but what you order no napkin just nothing else. Enjoy and hope the you didn't forget to order anything special or extra as you won't get it.

What impressed us most was the genuine family‑oriented atmosphere -- they don't just serve you, they welcome you like one of their own. Their appreciation for the U.S. Military is heartfelt, and the owners themselves are two of the kindest people I've ever met. You may experience a bit of a wait, but every minute is worth it. This was excellent…read more I added this to my list after seeing its outstanding reviews on Google and Yelp in case we had spare time on our business trip, being in San Antonio from Tampa - we had that extra time and ended up here and it's great that we did. I called ahead of time asking if they had availability for 6 guests at around 6 PM and they said that it shouldn't be a problem, but they can't guarantee that we'd be seated right away... sold! We arrived and while the set up the table, Charlene welcomed us to hang out at the bar. We were then greeted by Ben, who we came to find out was one of the owners of the restaurant. He spoke with us briefly as our table was being set up, welcoming us in. Within 3 minutes of coming in, they set up a table for us in the corner of the restaurant and had us seated. The place is small (not tiny) and even on a Wednesday at 6 PM, it was clearly a popular spot... we would continue to find out why that was the case. Forgive me, as I cannot remember our waitresses' name, but she was great. She handed us our menus and let us be as we needed a moment to make our decisions. The front of the menu tells the humble story of how the restaurant came to be - definitely worth a read while you are waiting. Our waitress came back and took our drink and food orders. At the same time, I asked if she could have Ben come over as we wanted to hear more about his story after reading the brief story on the front of the menu. He came over and talked to us for ~5 minutes telling us about how he ended up in the States after leaving his home and how the restaurant came to be - from that alone, my experience had already been elevated and I was even more excited for the remainder of the experience to come. The drinks arrived, followed by the food, which we ordered (mostly) solely on Ben's recommendations. Everything looked delicious and as we were told by Ben, it was all fresh, purchased that day from the market and cooked to order. We started with the fried mozzarella, which was unique to me, in that it had no marinara but instead, spicy honey and sesame seeds and was fried in beef tallow - it was great. I ordered the Chicken Parm, which had fresh mozzarella poured into it at the table - the mozzarella smelled (and tasted) AMAZING. The dish has select bites throughout it that had some spice to it - I'd say that the spice level was about a 3/10, coming from someone who doesn't have the highest spice tolerance. The flavor/satisfaction level? 10/10. Typically, I'm not a dessert guy, but because of how good the experience was up to this point, I had to indulge. I ordered the crème brûlée and was not disappointed. Good temperature, good, mild flavor and presentation. This experience was excellent. From the unsuspecting setting, the greeting, the noise level in the restaurant, the attentiveness of the servers, the presentation and flavor of the food, to the staff asking how everything was and holding the door for us as we left, this is an exemplary example of how hospitality/service should be done. Ben, hopefully you are extremely proud of the team you have put together and the establishment you have made over the past two years. Very well done and thank you for your hospitality. If we are ever in town again, this will DEFINITELY be a stop that we make. Cheers.
