Love this cute little food truck! It's parked in a little lot, so there aren't many parking spaces. But there was no one there when I went. The food truck is attached to a fenced area (where I'm assuming the kitchen is). I got the spicy pork kimbap, which looked beautifully rolled (albeit it took a bit longer than I anticipated given no other customers). The kimbap itself was yummy, but I couldn't really tell that there was spicy pork inside. The kimbap comes with choice of one sauce, but I didn't try it because I didn't want the sauce to mask the actual flavors of the kimbap. I think I'll be back in the future to try another roll, as well as the tteokbokki.

SA's newest hidden gem!! I saw K Bop Cha pop up on Tiktok this weekend. When I saw that they sold kimbap made fresh to order, I knew I had to pay a visit soon! K Bop Cha is a charming, little food truck nestled in the heart of downtown in parking lot of a dispensary. I got there around 1ish today and was happy to see that there was no line. I parked in the parking lot of the dispensary, however, there is also nearby street parking. When I got up to order, the nice lady let me know that orders are taking ~40-45 min due to all the customers that saw the recent Tiktoks. The long wait didn't deter me though and I'm so glad I stayed. I ordered 3 kimbap -- a fried tofu for my vegetarian friend; 2 for my big back self. I got the tuna mayo and spicy pork. I also ordered their shik-hae (rice punch), which reminded me of a Korean version of horchata. We loved it all!! I've had kimbap from Korean stores here in SA and from hmart and Korean stores in Houston -- admittedly, K Bop Cha's kimbap was the best I've ever had. Everything tasted so fresh and you could tell that the food was made with love. I'm sure this little hidden gem won't be hidden soon. I hope they'll be able to adjust to their popularity and find ways to improve wait times as they gain more attention on social media.

Oh my shop delicious. I also tried the beef bulgogi roll (not pictured) and it was fantastic. Recommend getting a few different sauces, not needed but adds some extra dazzle dazzle. Staff is friendly and everything tasted so fresh. Just be prepared to take it togo, as it's a food truck and they don't have picnic tables, but it's worth.

I grew up in South Korea and this is by far the best kimbap i've had since moving back to the U.S. It's so flavorful and delicious, and the service is great. Please go try this place out!

Omg it was bomb would go back def loved the kimbop with tofu and the green tea. It was fast too because I had to go back to work and I waited like 10 mins tops.

This place is so damn good! Definitely one of the best hidden gems of downtown! Amazing value for to-go food and hits the spot every time.

It was a little hard to find but once we found it, it was a cute little truck and first thing I noticed was just how clean it was inside and outside of the truck. When we got home and tried the fried tofu and the spicy pork, it was SOOOO delicious It's right down the street from me so I will be going back to order 4 beef bulgolgi's The service was decently fast for her being the only one there since she had the rolls already made so all she had to do was cut them and pack them. Can't wait to go back!

The seating time took about 30 seconds and was spacious so my wheelchair wasn't hitting any other tables. The staff was nice, very hard working and the food was brought to us in less then 15 minutes. The first thing We recieved was the bulgogi (Korean beef short ribs) and it came with rice and all these amazing side dishes The flavor of the beef was super tender, delicious, and the best seasoned beef in all of San Antonio We also got the hangover beef stew soup and every single bit was filled with perfectly cooked vegetables with tender bits of beef and with the most flavorful broth, not too spicy but with a little kick. Delicious and it also came with a side of rice. I give the bulgogi a 9/10 And the hangover soup 10/10 Super delicious

There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

Fast forward a few years, now named Garlic Bulgogi (and closer to Bandera/Huebner), the restaurant brings the same energy and joy with delicious, well-served dishes! My husband and I love to come to Garlic Bulgogi on the weekends as one of our cozy spots. He always ordered the Beef Bulgogi and I jump between Spicy Beef Bulgogi, Beef Bulgogi Stew or in this case, Beef Japchae. The plates are always consistent in flavor and portion sizes. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and we love the owner! She is always attentive and ready to check on guests. Tonight's experience was perfect! Our dishes were served with banchan which included kimchi, cucumbers, potatoes, daikon, onions and more. The Beef Japchae was packed with veggies, tender beef, hot, and the sweet potato noodles brought the right about of texture to the dish. The Beef Bulgogi plate was an explosion of flavor in every bite. The beef was tender and always a great go-to. Each dish came with a side of white rice. We absolutely love Garlic Bulgogi and have the best time, food and experience when we visit! We can't wait come back to try a new dish.

4.5 Stars. After attending "Shen Yuen" I wanted to do…read moresomething special to heighten that experience. Chas Market & Kitchen had been long on my list and since it was minutes away, seemed like the most logical choice. I have constantly heard people sing its praises. I will say I'm not versed in Korean fare. I had previously went to another Korean Restaurant and had a terrible experience. It is somewhere on the outskirts of the Eastside, alongside the highway. From the exterior it feels like a neighborhood convenient store. Once inside the room opens up with ample seating and tables. I noticed the tables that are specifically for their "All You Can Eat" menu but that's for another review. Along the walls are fridges with drinks and little knick knacks. It reminded me of a bodega. After we found a seat a server came and left menus. The menu is really extensive. I decided on their beef bulgogi, again a redo after the previous restaurant fiasco. A hip soundtrack is playing overhead, which I believe gives the place a modern vibe. Before I go on I must include that the server was excellent. I say this as he was very attentive but still able to work the rest of the room. Whenever I go to a new place sometimes I feel an anxiety. My fear is being disappointed and having wasted my time. But my impression is that it is an ultra laid back place. You can leave your Armani suit and Louboutin shoes at home. When the food came to the table it was served on a plate steaming similar to a fajita plancha. The server brought over accompanying small dishes that are meant to be added to the bulgogi. The small dishes contained: kimichi, spicy cucumbers, radish etc. Combining any or all with the dishes heightened the flavors. I think this was the most unique tasting thing I've had this year. In addition if you want a drink you have to choose one from their wall of fridges. I think this might dissuade some patrons but again, the overall experience is like that of a bodega. If you are looking for great Korean food with excellent service by all means go to Chas Market & Kitchen. So far this year this has been the restaurant with the most unique flavors. It is perfect for a date night, friends or with family. And I have to, have to absolutely do their "All You Can Eat" where you cook all items. I'm buying if someone else is doing the cooking.

Skip K-Pot and eat here. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!…read more For starters, the inside of the restaurant is cozy. Very clean, spacious, and you can hear your thoughts. The staff is attentive and our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat. The waitress was patient with us and explained how the all you can eat works. We were used to K-Pot where you just order and order, whereas here you have a limit to what and how much you can order. You are limited to so many items at a time, and we found ourselves actually enjoying that. We were not overwhelmed with too much food and no space. You don't have to get up from your table at all, everything is brought to you. All of the sides they bring you to go with the all you can eat are so thought out and flavorful. The noodles, the cucumbers and the squash, everything. And everything is prepared fresh. All of our sides and soup came out hot and steaming. Not like heat lamp hot, like fresh out of the pan hot. We got the ttekboki, fried dumplings, and vegetable tempura. They were all delicious! Now the quality of the meats here is MILES beyond the chain KBbQ places. All of the cuts were a decent thickness, and were portioned quite well. They were very flavorful. We ordered thinly sliced steak, spicy bulgogi, bbq chicken, and pork belly. All were delicious. We were a table of 3 adults and 2 kids and did not even get a refill on the meats. They also have a smoke vent to help with the grill. We really appreciated that. And we never had to change our grill, because things did not burn. Often at other places they are walking around having to change grills 4-5 times. Overall, this has become our favorite Korean Restaurant. We already have plans to return and bring friends and family. Give this place a try. The food speaks for itself, but the service and people are also awesome. 25 years in business, and it shows! (We ate everything, had no leftovers, and failed to take pictures because we were so into the food haha)

We ordered the pork bulgogi and Galbi ribs and everything was absolutely delicious! my husband is Korean and he approved of the quality of the food (taste)! Overall, great experience!
