I have to give a huge shout out to Cambria Hotel in Maple Grove MN! They really took care of us and we loved staying there. We travel 6 months out of the year touring so we have stayed in many hotels over the years and this is at the top of the list of memorable hotels! Starting off I called ahead because one of our friends was going to be arriving earlier than us and I wanted them to be able to settle in before we got there. The manager took care to accommodate this request which was very much appreciated. The location was great for us being less than 30 minutes from the venue that night in Minneapolis. Parking was ample and felt very safe. The hotel itself feels very luxurious, modern yet still comfortable. The perfectly soft beds were a welcome reprieve for us after we arrived late after a show that night. We loved the way the room was set up with a separate living room and bedroom area. The hotel has many amenities such as a fully equipped workout room, a pool and hot tub, pantry with snacks (amazing when you don't want to leave the hotel for a bite), and a great large breakfast! You could spend a week here and not feel bored or cramped into a tiny hotel. Staff at front desk was rude, didn't say anything the whole time we got checked in. The look of the hotel rooms are nice, but close up they are disgusting. Walking in, the ac was set to 65 but it was so humid the carpet was wet and the beds were sticky to sleep in. The bathroom was dirty, specifically the shower area and under the sink. There was a huge stain on my bedding, and a dirty, used glove i believe in the corner of the room. 1 star is generous. I thought I was at a motel 6. read more

Poor quality, service and rude staff. I booked this room through the Choice hotel website, as a member. Upon check-in, my card was charged for May 1-4th, as that was the original reservation. Upon arriving in room, found bed linens threadbare, towels threadbare, wet spot on floor of room between beds, and pillows so old/thin that they had to be doubled to make a decent height, leaving one with a 12 x 12" square pillow. I had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. Asked for room cleaning, never got it....only soap was replaced (which I didn't need). Breakfast was a joke - very little dry/stale food, constantly ran out of food, plates, plastic ware. When I asked the desk clerk to replenish the plates/plasticware, she was rude and took a good 15 min to do so. I had a need to check out on May 3rd, one day early. Upon check-out, clerk gave me a receipt that indicated I would receive a credit for the one day I paid that I would not be staying. Never received the credit on my card. Multiple emails were unanswered. After multiple calls, finally had a very rude and surly clerk named Jessica refused to process a credit. First she stated I would lose the 20% member discount on the 2 nights stayed. When I pointed out my credit was more than that amount, I'd like the difference, she then changed her story to "I didn't give them 48 hours notice". Next time I have an emergent event, I guess I'll have to plan it?? Definately a poor property, not work the prices charged. STAY AWAY! There are many other properties to book that are much better. read more

I am writing to formally report an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful experience with Paulina, the supervisor at your location. I booked this hotel reservation under my name and added a note stating that my brother would be the one checking in. Additionally, I called your hotel on Monday, January 12 at 5:32 PM CST to confirm that my brother was listed on the reservation and that it would be acceptable for him to check in on my behalf. I was explicitly told that this would not be an issue. However, when my brother arrived at the hotel, he was met by Paulina, who immediately stated--rudely--that I had to be present. My brother called me, and I asked to speak with Paulina to clarify what her coworker had previously told me. She refused to speak with me. I then told my brother to inform her that I was on my way, which I heard him do. While en route, I called the hotel directly and spoke with Paulina. She began the call kindly but quickly changed her tone once she realized which reservation I was calling about. She repeatedly cut me off while I was speaking. While I acknowledge that I did not maintain a calm tone in response, I expect a supervisor to maintain professionalism regardless of a guest's frustration. I explained that I was on my way and that I only wanted her to be aware that her colleague had given me different information. Her response was to blame "new staff" for providing incorrect information. When I said that this was unfair, she stated that she was canceling my reservation due to my tone and that I would be refunded. She then hung up on me. My husband subsequently called to better understand the situation. I was on the third line. Paulina again cut him off repeatedly, spoke rudely, and hung up on him as well. When I arrived at the hotel, no one was at the front desk until I called out. Paulina then appeared with a visible attitude and continued to cut me off while I attempted to explain the situation. I tried to apologize for becoming upset and expressed that her tone had been unnecessary, but she interrupted me again and stated that she could refuse us service. When I asked to speak with her superior, she scoffed and said, "My superior is me," rolled her eyes, and walked away into her office. I did not raise my voice or make a scene, but I will not tolerate being treated with such disrespect. I am also deeply disturbed by the possibility that my foreign name may have contributed to the way I was treated. If this is not the case, then I am concerned that your brand is allowing individuals who lack basic professionalism and decency to represent it. After this experience, I reviewed additional online feedback and noticed several similar complaints regarding rudeness from staff and management at this location. I strongly encourage upper management to review the recorded calls and address this issue seriously. Employees who cannot conduct themselves professionally should not be placed in customer-facing leadership roles. I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Let me start off by saying the hotel rooms and lounge are beautiful and I've actually stayed a few times .. that being said I just had the worst experience with the staff and room. I found DRUGS in my room. I contacted the front desk immediately and they said they would send someone to clean it. They charged my card three times (for one nights stay) and are not helpful about it, when notified.

I booked this hotel through a third-party site and stayed one night without issue. A few days later, I discovered they charged my credit card for two extra nights I never stayed - without my authorization. I've called multiple times and left messages, but no one will return my calls or help me resolve the issue. I ended up having to cancel my credit card to stop any further charges. This is not how you treat customers. It's unacceptable to charge someone's card without consent and then ignore them when they try to get help. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to deal with unauthorized charges and zero customer service. read more

We stayed here for a candidacy weekend for a job. This is your run of the mill business hotel with a marginal breakfast and despite its newer decor my room had a peculiar odor that was similar to burnt plastic. I usually enjoy Homewood or Cambria, it was a decent stay and we ended up moving here so I can't complain too much. read more

This hotel is very outdated. They are in the process of remodeling and that is a good thing. Pool and hot tub were great. Be aware in some listing it shows having a restaurant and coffee shop. Currently they have neither. We stayed there based on the fact that it said it had a restaurant and coffee shop.be sure to find out where your room is. We were about 120 steps from the elevator. I have a bum leg and it was way too far to walk. Hopefully after the remodel they will open restaurant and coffee shop again. read more

Cambria Hotels & Suites in Maple Grove, MN is the ultimate treat yourself hotel! We called ahead to alert the front desk that we'd be arriving late, and they assured us it was no problem. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and efficient despite our late check-in. The room was spacious and even had a little separate living room suite with a couch, chair and desk. The bathroom was modern, and the shower was large with plenty of space for toiletries and even sitting! I wish I had time to really enjoy it and take a bath, because the bathroom was overall super comfortable and inviting. The decor of the room was up to date as well. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable and we slept like babies. There were no noises of any kind to disrupt our sleep and the room got to our desired temperature quickly. this place is horrible. I don't know why anyone would want to stay here. Me and my kids got bedbug bites. The staff was super rude especially a lady name Paulina and a man name Andrew also the only guy that was pretty nice his name is I forget his name but he was working behind the bar but yet he could not keep his fingers out of his nose. There was another guy who work there when I called to ask for sheets. He literally brought clean sheets up and left them on the floor outside my door so now they were not usable. The staff is unreal. They are super rude the room with Matt clean the Wi-Fi did not work. The breakfast was a joke. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want to stay here. Please do yourself a favor and save your money. Go somewhere else when it was checkout time I told the lady Paulina that I am going to take a five minute shower and then I'm going to leave the broom, but she turned the lights off in my room while I am taking a shower and I fell and hurt myself. I feel so swanky staying at this Cambria Suite. I have been here numerous times now and even though work is in Minneapolis I dont mind the 30 minute drive. Upon walking in, the front desk is so friendly. Every time I ask for anything, they go above and beyond to help. The rooms itself is very spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good work space, clean bathrooms, 2 teas and Wolfgang puck coffee. Behind the front desk is their Refill station which is like a small convenience store of all sorts of snacks, drinks, and basic essentials. The Internet speed: 1-1.5 Mbps download and 4-6Mbps upload which has been great for me to be able to work and surf the web. During peak hours, there has been some delays but that happens at most hotels. Some Cambria Suites I have stayed at before didn't offer breakfast but the breakfast here is superb. They have two different types of scrambled eggs, one with just cheese and another mixed with other veggies, hot oatmeal with sides of brown sugar/cranberries/nuts, breakfast potatoes, fresh cut mix fruit, cereal, cereal bars, apples, bananas, waffles, toast, skim and 2% milk, orange juice, and cranberry juice. The gym is excellent, there are about 8-10 cardio machines, full set of weights, medicine balls, weight balls, and water dispenser. The pool is a little small, not big enough for me to swim laps. Otherall, this is my favorite hotel to stay in the area, I make all my coworkers stay here as well when they are here for work and they have all been super happy as well. Easy and restful night at Cambria, Maple Grove MN! It's on a private drive, which is nice for security, several entrances, and a quick check-in, even though there were several people checking in at same time! There's a lobby with TV, bar, sandwiches/concessions. Elevator nearby, and the hotel was A/C cooled which was awesome, since it was so hot outside! Rooms were large, two-room-sized, and the pull-out couch was comfortable. Bathrooms were large, and digital-key-entry worked on first try! Don't remember much else, because we slept so good! What an unexpected delight! This hotel was a little bit out of the way from where I was headed but the idea of a heated pool while it was snowing was too good to pass up. The woman at the front desk was friendly and accommodating and they gave me a free drink and a souvenir coaster as I checked in. The bar/ food is open until 11 and I had a very delicious burger. The guests all looked hip and chill and they played rock music loud in the hallways which gave the whole place a fun vibe. Inside the room was quiet and cozy and I loved how the bedroom was separated from the living room area made me feel at home in a large space. Free parking and breakfast. This place just seemed overwhelmed. The rooms were still being cleaned or so we were told as we checked in at 10:00 at night. When we walked up to our room we had a pile of bedding and a vacuum cleaner sitting right next to our door. The check in girl would help one person the walk off for 5 minutes without even saying hey I'm sorry I need to go do this or that or say I'll be right back, nope she just walked off and 5 minutes later came back. This happened 3 times while I waited to check in. If it had not been past the time I could have canceled or late as heck I would have walked away right then. The room was short the bedding for the pullout and it was the thinnest pullout mattress I've seen in a long time. I asked the front desk for bedding she said it would be up in 15 when it wasn't there in 25 I went down and got some from a different front desk person. As I got to my door the original person was there delivering the bedding. Both sets were still warm so they must have still been cleaning all the bedding. Breakfast buffet was good but at $10/person way overpriced. it wasn't any different than the free ones you get at other hotels. I saw lots of people cashing in free breakfast vouchers it seems that's how they make up for issues is by giving you a breakfast that would be free anywhere else anyway. read more

The CAMBRiA is beautiful hotel! Immediately stepping into lobby you're met with high ceilings and luxury, a long bar that stretches across the lobby, and smiling faces from those at the front desk. The hotel is packed with things to do! There's a huge workout room, many conference rooms for business, an outside patio for cooking out and lounging, a hot tub and pool -- the list goes on and on. We are in a touring hip hop band with a full horn section; we travel with 6 or more everywhere and need at least two rooms a night. These suites were extravagant and classy. Cambria Hotel and Suites in Maple Grove is a great option if you want to be outside of the bustle of the city but also want be close to many places. It's close to a lot of major stores as well as grocery stores and restaurants. They were very helpful and accommodating to our late check in because we played a show that night and weren't able to get in to the hotel until after 1 am. They also were kind enough to give us a late check out with no problem so we could get a little extra sleep! I loved how the room had a separate living rooms space from the bedroom making it easier for anyone to stay up and watch tv that wanted and anyone who wanted to sleep in the next room able to. There is a lot of attention to details in the hotel. From the furnishings to the Bath & Body toiletries. I really appreciated these little things and it made me feel less like I was staying in a hotel and more at home there. read more

We stayed here for two weeks. The breakfast is excellent and the room was comfortable. The room service was extremely slow. Our first few nights that we were there the air conditioner wasn't working. They eventually changed us to a different room. The next room we got had and extremely nasty odor from the sink. Wifi is slow Again if it weren't for the breakfast there's nothing special about this place. read more

Ok... Really confused as to what to rate this hotel. In terms of the hotel room it's better then 3 stars except for the strange smell. Almost like the toilet backed up. Room is outstanding in terms of how big it is and the bed and sheets are very comfortable. The Front desk people are Outstanding. Ok, now the issues. First night I had dinner at the bar. First thing out of the bar tenders mouth was we are on a very basic menu tonight because of a rookie cook. Ok... No problem ordered a Cheeseburger with Mushrooms, bacon and extra cheese. It comes out with no mushrooms and no extra cheese. I make the bartender aware and she brings out an single piece of cheeses but states they are out of mushrooms. Weird.... Because 5 minutes later she brings out cheeseburger to 2 other people at the bar with mushrooms. Oh... The tater tots were cooked. Next issue.... After spending all day at work I come back to the hotel at 530p and had no service done on my room. Last issue... Ate at the bar again. I know I should have learned but after the first burger was very tasty I thought I'd try again. Ordered my burger and was very clear that I wanted extra cheese and bacon ONLY. I get it with... Tomatoes, lettuce, onions and pickles. Very frustrating.... Again the burger was good. I'd go back and try another Cambria Hotel because of the great price. read more

I've stayed at Cambria twice, the other in West Fargo, ND. I have to give this one in MN a 3 star, due to mosquitoes. They were in the lobby, in the elevator, and in my room. I escaped with 8 mosquito bites, and very little sleep. Nothing like having them buzzing in your ear all night, other than that the hotel was alright. I hate donating blood. read more

Nice, new, friendly hotel. The rooms are modern. The staff is friendly. Finding it is a cinch. The food for breakfast seemed overly priced for what you would get (so we avoided that). During our first stay, there was an unidentified red stain on the wall (I hope it was wine). I let the staff know and they were concerned to make things right (a good sign). The free WiFi was wonderful. The bed was great and the pillows were a highlight. The only fault is - for being so new - why aren't there fans in the bathrooms? No one likes to have steamed up mirror post-shower! And no one wants to hear their significant other's bathroom noises! Put some fans in. Otherwise - awesome place! read more

This is a newer property, about 2 years old. My company had a global team meeting for about 40 people held at this facility, which accommodated the sleeping and meeting needs for 5 days. The rooms are a "suite" style, with a spacious working area, with a couch and a wall-mounted flat screen TV, a large console with a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The sleeping area has a very comfortable king-size bed, cozily decorated and with an very comfortable mattress, another flat-screen TV, and a well-hidden closet. :-) you'll see what I mean if you stay there. The two areas are divided by built-in see-through shelves, holding brightly colored large vases and vessels. The bathroom is decorated in a modern style, with all basic amenities. In my bathroom there was an unusual smell, reminiscent of poor drainage and stale water; but, thankfully, it was faint. The hotel has a great gym, accessible 24 hrs a day - treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, medical balls and other gear, as well as an indoor pool. The breakfasts served over the course of the meeting were fine: nothing overly abundant, but a practical selection to start the day. The lunches catered to our meeting team were again, practical, somewhat conservative. But the late-afternoon snacks had an great selection of cookies, brownies and fruit. For guests' convenience, there is a cafe-style dinner menu that you can have in the cafe area, or pick up and enjoy in your room. Of course, if you want to venture out for dinner, the hotel is extremely close to a significant variety of restaurants, all no more than 5 min drive. The lobby is very nicely decorated, with computers set up for guests' use, and practical seating arrangements, conducive to having a meeting or a chat, with very convenient power plugs placed in the floor and walls: well thought out! We wound up booking the room because the other hotel we were staying at wasn't able to extend our reservation without charging us double what we were paying and making us change rooms. So it was a happy accident that made us find this location. This is now the 'go-to' hotel when my family and I return to visit the state. The pool is small as far as hotel pools, but the room was oversized (perfect for letting the toddler wear herself out). There was a separate sitting/office area that worked well to be able to get work done while here. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a nice sized mini fridge and microwave in the room. The complimentary soaps are Bath & Body Works, which made me very happy. Very nice location on the NW corner of the Twin Cities Metro, very easy to get to all the highways. Though it is located just off of 94 when the windows are closed you can't hear the highway. We didn't get a chance to try the food as we were too busy running around, no complimentary breakfast, but the option was there to purchase food through the cafe or small store. We did neither as it was so close to so many dining options and stores. Mainly a business hotel, so very quiet overall, but also welcoming of families and I saw several kids including our own. Quiet rooms and even with a busy bar it stayed quiet. We booked the room directly from the hotel's site and got a slightly better rate than Expedia. read more

Overall nice stay, great room kids loved the pool. My only problem was customer service was poor. We had our vehicle blocked in by two vehicles parking to close to the point we couldn't access our vehicle except from the tailgate when I brought it up they told me there's nothing they can do but wait for them to move and ask staff if they know who vehicle it is. To me this act is very unprofessional to leave one customer trapped and uneasy just to cause no conflict for another. read more
