Hotel lobby looks clean and inviting. The room I had has a curtain that divides the bed and work area which is nice if you are staying with another and want to segregate space. Super convenient location for a work visit but sadly I will be booking elsewhere. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were oddly shaped (and had a dirty smell), shower felt like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks and also had a strange odor. The lighting in the room and the bathroom layout were also poor, which I could look past if the room and linens were clean. Came across one less than friendly worker. I live in town and my friends took me out that evening and we stayed at the Cambria hotel. in Frisco. Everything seemed fine, room was cleaned for the most part. Once we were ready for bed, we noticed a two inch piece of tape with hair glued to it plus other stuff like deberé attached to sheets. We called front desk 3 times in a row, but there was no answer. This was on the night of 10/25 checkout 10/26. Hoping for fresh sheets, but there was no answer what so ever. We ended up using the extra bedding in closet wish was very nice. My main reason for writing a three star review is for the lack of customer support in the time of need. If this had been an emergency, I would have not received the help I needed on time or not at all. read more

Positive: Great price (2 queen/$102), easy access, convenient location, easy checkin, lots of close parking, very clean/fresh. Interesting vertical plant wall and unique artistic pics. Negative: 1st room: broken refrigerator, no knob, not cold. Ok, that happens. Call clerk, she apologizes and says she'll move us. Ok. We're tired after a 5 hour drive but we go back down, re-explain we need a frig and get room #2 keys. Another broken frig, no knob, not cool. We had taken a pic to show clerk the missing knob (see pic) and she says that's the knob. Ok, humor us, we need a cold frig. Now she earns the "maybe" and 3 stars. Clerk: "Well I can try another room but we can't let you try every room in the hotel. When you enter them we're supposed to treat them as dirty and have to clean it again. This 3rd room is all I can let you try." My jaw dropped and I matched her rude tone saying "we don't want to TRY every room in the hotel, we only wanted 1 room with a working frig." We assure her if this room's frig is broken we're done. Room 3 frig works but the fun, vacation vibe was killed. When we go out, come back the clerk's cheery hello, welcome back is replaced by silence. The 1st pic shows the missing knob, rooms 1 & 2. 2nd pic is our 3rd room. Hello,  At checkout I mentioned to the agent working the desk that my room had active black ants and a smell in the restroom from the sink water. They asked me to make sure I send an email.  I didn't ask to change rooms because Friday, after being up since 5am on my feet preparing a major educational conference and finally getting to my room after 10pm, I was too tired to think about moving or walk another step. For the restroom I kept the door closed.  Saturday same situation,  I left my room a little after 6am and didn't return until after 3pm, being on my feet running the conference as conference chair.   I've stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience and thought this would be a great host hotel for our conference.  This time around things weren't a positive memory/experience. read more

We stayed at the same hotel for many years for business several times a year and they just could never get everything fixed. We decided to take a chance on Cambria and could not have been more pleased. Vanessa sold the hotel when I called to ask a few questions. Beautiful room and IMPECCABLY clean! With difficulty coming out of lock downs and short staff this was not at all the case with everyone from the front desk, bartender to the housekeeping staff as we were graciously greeted and asked if we needed anything additional. This quality comes from the top and after speaking to manager to say what a wonderful quiet room we had and how pleased were we found out by her professional manner that the staff followed her lead. Everyone smiled and while that may not sound like a big deal, it is because it showed everyone was happy with their jobs and did them very well! Comfortable and tasteful room and felt very "at home" staying here. HIGHLY recommend! read more

Arrived here mid week for a conference. We booked a room with two beds; I arrived around 11am. The man at the desk told me, rather apathetically, that I wouldn't be able to check into our room until 1pm, at the earliest. They were sold out the night before and couldn't possible turn over all the rooms any earlier. So I was left without being able to shower until then. Understandable, but still frustrating. When I was finally checked in, they gave us a one bed room instead of a two bed, and stated they were unable to change rooms until the following day. They did this without offering any sort of compensation, refund, etc. for the inconvenience. In addition, the one bed's bathroom door did not close due to the extensive water damage at the bottom of the door. The tissue box was stuffed so poorly that I couldn't remove any without ripping them, and the lamp on the desk wasn't working. The next day, they moved our belongings to our new room for us while we were out at our conference. The new room's pull out couch had no sheets on it, was rather filthy, and the water temperature in the shower was barely hot for the next three days. Also of note - There were many instances of the front desk not being manned and interactions with apathetic employees throughout the weekend. Breakfast isn't complimentary (~$12/person, if I recall correctly). Restaurant and bar open at 5pm, and closing times range until 10 or 11pm. I don't remember exactly. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend them for families and extended stays. When moving I needed a place for the family for a week or two and this one fit the bill. I had complaints but they were managed well and all needs that could be met, where. I suspect the ones that were will be ironed out in time as Covid has taken everyone for a turn and some gained better footing than others in their reopening process. Staff here did a wonderful job at making me and my family feel welcomed and appreciated. read more

I stayed here last weekend after my wedding. The room was nice, but the jacuzzi smelled like burning plastic. There was also a beer left under a counter from the previous guest. Most disappointingly, we paid for the "Romance package" which we were told included chocolate covered strawberries, roses, towel animals, and champagne waiting in the room. I mentioned it at check in and the concierge said "oh... we forgot. We can send someone up in an hour." Ok, no big deal. We got unpacked and went to the hotel bar to grab a bite to eat and a drink while we waited. After an hour or so, we went back to the room. Nothing. We were patient so we waited another couple hours. At 830pm (we checked in at 430) we called to the front desk and they said they'd send someone right up. At 930pm I called again and was told that they had again forgotten and had just sent someone. Finally, just before 10pm, a housekeeper dropped off champagne. Nothing else. I sent a message to the hotel's Facebook at that point, which was read and never responded to. Only when I brought it up at check out was I told that it was refunded. Zero contact or attempt to apologize from anyone. It may be a minor thing, but this was the only honeymoon we could afford and I was looking forward to it being nice. read more

This hotel is a good option if traveling in the Plano area. Its clean, easy to get to and has a decently sized parking lot. Breakfast isn't that great and I'd totally skip the buffet option, but staff is friendly and the price is right. If you're a rewards member, they sometimes offer free drinks at the bar or extra points depending on what promotion they have going on at the time. Near restaurants and shopping - there's even walkable options. Better than a number of other options in the general area. read more

Ok.. I'm going to be fair! Room are super nice, clean and spotless!! Bed is comfortable and that's important right? Plenty of parking! Walking distance from the hottest hang out place in town! Bar downstairs have a cool atmosphere and you can see people hanging out! It was cool! Pool -and outside patio was pretty sweet too..So in this case of hotel appeal and appearance I will give it a 5stars. Now.. this is why I'm taking 2stars from it. Staff was not friendly when We checked in at all.. maybe because we are only here for one night? Am not sure.. they also put someone that does not speak English for night shift! We asked her a question and she didn't not understand? At the front desk?! Really?? Anyway.. house keeping is an early riser! They knocked at 8am. Super loud sounded like they police trying to get inside the room with arrest warrant or something! Then they opened the door! Good thing we have the safety lock! Damn! Now.. you can hear every little noise in this building! Somebody was moving furniture or something this morning! And man they are loud! And by 8:40 when they are finish we are like! I'll say I was quite impressed with this place until I went to bed, or tried to anyway. When my neighbors came to their room at 11:00 pm I heard every door open & close, every voice, every noise they made. I don't think they were yelling either but they were loud. Loud enough to keep me awake until they finally went to sleep. I guess this is why they have a couple of bottles of Sleep Sana sleep aid available for $2.99 in the room. Had this not been an issue I would have rated this place 4 possibly 5 stars. It was clean. The neighborhood was very nice. Alright hotel in a good location (close to shops and restaurants in the Legacy area) but hit or miss when it comes to the basics of a decent hotel. Distance wise, this is very close to the Shops at Legacy, but practically speaking, this is not "walkable" as you have to try and cross the stretch of highway that separates the hotel from the shops. It took us a while to wait for traffic to subside and even having waited two or three stoplights, crossing still involved a somewhat precarious run across the highway. I checked in around 11 PM and the process took longer than normal, but I was able to get moved to a room on the top floor. Was not given good info on breakfast and that was that. I was then texted multiple times from the hotel to confirm if my stay was going well, which seemed a bit heavy handed. I returned one day to my room and my key wasn't working so had to go back downstairs and get new keys all over again, not apology or reason given as to why I couldn't access my room. The gym was the best part of the hotel, clean and large enough plus good equipment (although now that I think of it, the one elliptical I used didn't have the TV working). With all the other nicer options in the area, I won't be staying here again. read more

I was brought to Plano as a guest of the House of Comedy club. 5 shows, 3 days. At first my experience was pleasant. Flavia at the front desk was quite helpful upon check in, even after they had no record of my room. I came down later in the evening and grabbed some tea before my show, again no problem. The very next day I encountered a young woman behind the bar...counting sugar packets and singing to herself....I asked her for some tea, reluctantly she "helped" me and then charged for the same tea that I had just gotten for free the night before.....strange. I let it go. My final day I had some guests come to the hotel, they waited for me in the lobby and as I showed up they asked (the same girl from the night before) if they had a specific brand of beer. She threw her hands up, said she knows nothing about the bar and walked away on the phone. I decided to say something to the manager Jonathan who couldn't care less about my complaints. He continued to tell me how "good" the reviews were as if that had anything to do with the fact that I had just received TERRIBLE service from his employee. He then asked me "what I wanted him to do about it" he told me she doesn't work the bar......then why was she standing back there 2 days in a row on the phone??? Cambria acts as if The Renaissance, (an actual nice hotel) isn't right around the corner. I've spoken with the club about this and will definitely not be returning to this glorified motel. This place was awesome customer service was great. The employee John that checked us in gave off a really good vibe! I was also pleased that he gave us a second floor-room normally when we get a room they always try to put us on the third or fourth floor I guess because we looked young‍. I do not know why they do this considering we are a very quite couple and we came here to relax. Anyway it's definitely worth the money$74. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Anytime I get a room the first thing I do is check the showers to make sure that the shower drain water goes out completely. Itwas so nice and clean. The gym was really nice and equip also,oh and they had a pool that looks really nice just make sure you go at a certain time it can get pretty crowded. I've been to a lot of upscale hotels but decided to try something different for our family vacation. This hotel was amazing from start to finish. The staff was extremely helpful, the building was clean, the room was perfect for our family of five, the pool, jacuzzi, fire pit was clean. Even the fitness center was neat, well stocked, and the machines worked. It was also close to the mall and grocery stores, and even a city center (outdoor mall). This hotel comes highly recommended. I'll start off by saying not impressed. I was here for a company function. I arrived late Saturday. The younger girl working was super nice and friendly. Recommended a place to get delivery which ended up to be great. That's where the good review ends. Is This place is like water deprived?! No water bottles offered in the room. So go down stairs the fridge at the bar/restaurant is depleted with a few random sodas and filth not even organized just plopped on a cooler shelf thing . So I ask the bartender (it's 9:55 and I suppose they close at 10) if they have any water. Lady looks at me, bamboozled, like I was going to order alcohol and food for an army. Once she realizes I'm Just asking for water (still shocked I'm talking to her) says they "might have some around the corner". Ughh! ok so I walk around to their convenience store or whatever that little cubby is. They have 1 bottle of a 4oz Fiji water in a giant fridge filled with sodas and random crap. Annoyed but better than nothing. Fast forward.... Night two come back from work function. Go to get water again... 1 bottle of 4oz Fiji. I get it Texas you don't drink water but dear god. No grown human drinks 4 oz of water. To make it worse the young guy who is working behind the desk is standing with another employee (or what looks like one) and he goes she's thinks your hot. The girl then says "no I don't"?! I'm a 35 yo married man with two children. I don't care if you think I'm hot or not. Super super unprofessional and frankly cringe . I travel to Dallas area from San Diego for work all the time and this is the first/last time I will stay here. Management get it together and don't be afraid to get water bottles not meant for a 4yo child. read more

Great hotel! Stayed in Plano for business. Hotel is very new and u can tell - it's very clean, I wasn't grossed out to sit on the couch or walk around barefoot (which I never do in hotels). I stayed in a suite w a separate living room - everything was well-apponted, spacious rooms, mini fridge and microwave. Staff were all very friendly - every time I'd walk through the lobby, I'd hear good evening or good morning from all around. One nite I wanted to go for a walk, and since it was quite sunny (and I forgot my sunglasses) - I asked the front desk if they had any sunglasses laying around, forgotten by guests, that I could borrow. They did not (since the hotel is so new), but the consierge offered me his own personal sunglasses to borrow, without missing a beat. Would definitely stay there again! read more

I booked 13 room nights here. They bumped the boss out of his room the first night because they allowed someone without a reservation to stay over an extra night - that's what they told me! Crappy Choice Hotel customer service. Beware online reservation. booked online and was charged twice. Called Choice Hotel support (overseas) and asked to reverse charge on the rogue reservation. Talked to supervisor, but apparently there is only one person, the 'General Manager' who can do such a thing, and he was not on property. So I am still waiting for them to support me, after 2 calls on the phone over an hour. read more

The room was fine but the other guests were way too loud, in the middle of the night they were partying. My husband called the front desk to complain and at check out they stated that our room was next to a soccer team which is why it was loud at 3AM, still no excuse for the rest of the guests to be subjected to loud noise for hours on end. read more

Stayed in this hotel for work. Location has good access to the tollway and the legacy shops. Onsite parking is plentiful. The front desk staff were friendly and quick to check me in. The room was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. I was able to get a good night's sleep since the bed was cozy and the AC unit was not too loud. read more
