I went for a haircut here yesterday and the staff was good and professional. There is ample street parking available outside. The shop is relatively small, there were only two barbers working at the time. They do online reservations via Booksy and walk-ins. My stylist was Kara and he did an amazing job. He cut my hair exactly as I specified and it was very neat and clean. He made some small talk, but wasn't overly chatty. The haircut took about 20 minutes. The price came out to $35 and of note they only take cash, no cards. The only negative aspect of my visit is that while I did book an appointment for noon, I wasn't taken for my haircut till 12:30, but the staff was apologetic. Awful experience. I asked for a certain clipper length on the side (the same that I always ask for) and at the end of the haircut the barber admitted that he used a clipper size at least two sizes shorter than what I asked for. He made the bizarre claim that he did this on purpose because the first clipper he used wasn't doing anything (despite the fact that the very first one he used took tons off). And even if that were true, there's no excuse for going tons shorter than I asked for without even telling me first. He also tried to convince me afterwards that it's "better" since it's hotter in July. If he actually did that intentionally (and wasn't just covering for a mistake after the fact) then I don't know what to say other than be extremely careful coming here. No barber anywhere should be doing something completely different than what the customer asked without at least telling them before they do it. Will absolutely never be coming back here again. read more

Good haircut, but customer service Very awkward experience, waited 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment to get my haircut. Usually walk-in's are present at any barbershop but I usually expect time to be managed to accommodate appointments. It's weird because I think they're appointment only so this doesn't apply. Five or so minutes is not a huge deal, probably even ten for a busy shop. This was supposed to be a 30 minute window on my lunch break but ended up consuming a lot more of my day than planned It took over an hour to cut the cut and there was a queue building. They did an amazing job with my hair! Although this place is new, Brahim has been cutting hair for 10+ years (I forget the exact number), working previously at the famous La Flamme in Harvard Sq. Brahim took his time and I could tell that he was applying incredible attention to detail and effort to get things *just right*. Clearly someone who loves what they do and takes pride in his work. This place also uses some of the nicer touches that I almost totally forgot about: warm shaving cream to finish up the back neck with a real blade. Cambridge barber shop is an outstanding new business in the Inman square area (about a month old). I walked in for a haircut and beard trim, and got exceptional service and a friendly conversation with the owner, Ibrahim. He is a skillful and attentive barber that listens to the customer's wishes.
