Came here a few times, and didn't have much issue overall. Only a few pieces they were unable to clean. I only noticed their attention to detail is lacking. Recently, I had a Veronica Beard Scuba Blazer cleaned here. ALL 8 wrist buttons were damaged. The owner stated it wasn't his doing. Or the front button would be damaged too. Umm, 8/9..and the jacket was perfect when I dropped it off!! Stay clear of this place for ANYTHING that's of value. My blazer is $795 retail and it cannot be rectified. I had my blazer cleaned in early September. After speaking to my peers/colleagues/neighbors, MANY are unhappy about this particular cleaners. I saw a previous review about a stain not coming out, and a lady refusing to try a second time without the patron paying. So when I ran into the same issue, I was hesitant to ask for help. A dress I'd previously brought in was stained under the arm and I asked them to remove it. It came back still stained. So today I took it back to kindly inquire about their opinion whether it is a permanent stain or if they can try again. The gal said they will try again to remove the stain and of course at no extra charge! Lesson: take previous reviews with a grain of salt. I've not had a problem here. They are fast and polite. They do not charge extra if you return with your garment that they were unable to get out a stain the first time. I dislike that I have to pay when dropping off vs picking up, and that there is a 4% credit card surcharge. These are why it's not 5 stars. read more

I dropped off a garment to be dry, cleaned, asking for specific attention paid to a stain. After picking up the garment, taking it home, it was obvious the stain had never been addressed. It was a stain that could easily come out. When I returned with it the next day, the woman behind the counter refused to do anything about it unless I paid for it again. I refused, told her it wasn't done right the first time and they needed to make it right. She refused. I told her I was a long time customer and I would never be back again and she said oh no problem. I responded with "It is a problem. It's a huge problem with service like this." Website stated $5 price for a jacket (not a coat). When I took it in the guy told me it was $6. When I told him that the website said $5, he told me the newer price was actually $8. This place is terrible! I took my off white jacket there and was told that they may be able to get out two stains that I had on the jacket. One stain was on the sleeve and the other stain was very noticeable on the front of the jacket. I went to pick up the jacket and it had a note saying we couldn't get the stain out but when I checked that had the exact same stain the stain was gone. So I inquired and was responded to with a deer in the headlights look. I took my jacket asking when the manager would be in. Was told in the mornings. After a week of going to this store everyday there was never a manager in site so I left the jacket saying I would call and speak with him. After another two days I ended up speaking with a woman who identified herself as a person who "...used to be a manger at another store." When I asked her is she the manager of this store she said no. Not sure why she even said she used to be a manager because she was absolutely no help at all. She looked at my jacket and proceeded to tell me that there was no way the stain would come out. I explained to her that this was the exact stain that you removed from the sleeve she told me it couldn't be because the stain was oxidized. I asked if she would just have the manager/owner call me and she said she would but of course she didn't. After 3 days I finally just picked up my jacket and thought I bet peroxide would get this out and I was right. I poured a little peroxide and a little Oxiclean in the wash and my Calvin Klein jacket is like new. You can't even tell there was ever a stain there. This place should not call themselves a cleaners. And the customer service from this woman was atrocious. Not ever sure they tried to clean my jacket the second time as it had all the same tags on it. Piss poor work. I will never go there again. read more

The last time they melted the tag of my Burberry trench into the inside of my jacket but I didn't make a big fuss bc it's on the inside. I gave them a 2nd chance and regretted it. I dropped off a suit, Burberry tie and white dress shirt on wed. On sat picked it up to find yellow spots in the white shirt pocket area, yellow spot on the tie and spot on the suit jacket near the buttons and a hole in the sleeve. The owner wasn't there and can't be reached bc he was busy w other customers at his other store, the nice girl offered to redo it. I call back on Monday and spoke to the owner Russ, his attitude and tone was unprofessional and rude. Told me the yellow spots on the tie was due to wear, That the single yellow spot on my $300 tie was due to rubbing and the back was showing through. The back of the tie is not even yellow? The hole in the suit was from a bug? The flaky Yellow spot on the suit from rubbing or wear? But if my suit isn't yellow inside then how is the yellow spot from wear? The yellow spots on the shirt was due to stuff left in the pocket or... you guess it, wear. Yes, the most worn out place on a Dress shirt are 5 little spots on the pocket. Also it's a stark white shirt I would've seen stuff in it, better yet you should've seen stuff in it before proceeding to clean it knowing how it can leave stains. When I questioned him about his excuse he said if it's their fault all of the other 400 shirts he works on would have the same damage. He acted as if he's doing me a favor by trying to recleaning it again to be ready by Tuesday. Why yes, my shirt is dirtier then when I dropped it off but yes please do ME a favor and fix your mistake. No reason to rush to fix you mistake, no emphasis on customer service or take responsibility. He acted like I should be glad to have his service that I paid for! He was defensive, made no attempt to give me legit excuses, brushed me off and didn't even apologize. After the 3rd cleaning only a faint yellow spot can be seen on the tie, amazing how he was able to clean out the "wear" on the suit and shirt,sounds almost... made up! Bottomline, I support small business but not this one. The owner doesn't value your business and isn't accountable for his services. Don't take anything here you value or are too attached to. As per the fine print on your receipt they only pay 10x the cost of the service for compensation, about $20/item. read more

I used this cleaners for the first time this week. I picked up my items yesterday and nothing of any issues were mentioned at time of pick up. However, when I got home and removed the bag I found that one of my $200 designer work dresses had dark splotches all over the cream fabric that ran down the front of the dress. Attached was a note apologizing for being unable to get the stains out. There were NO stains on the dress when I dropped it off! They caused the colors to run and instead of trying to make it right, they are trying to imply the stains had been there when I dropped it off. Lessoned learned, you may save money on the service, but it will likely cost you a dress. read more

I have been using Cambridge for over a year now and for the price they do a very competent job generally. Prices are far better than most cleaners near the Desert Ridge area. Mostly young kids staffing the front desk - usually quite helpful and friendly. I recently had an issue after dropping off one of my favorite suits. When I got the pants back, I saw a large gash at the inner fastener and the pant was essentially ruined. I brought the pant back a few days later and filled out a claim form. After about a week I checked back in and the manager said that the rip could not be fixed, and asked for the jacket as well - and that Cambridge would reimburse the cost of the suit. I received a check for the full and fair amount I requested about a week later - no further questions asked. I must say that the test of any business is not necessarily when things go right, but rather how they handle when things occasionally go wrong. From my view, even though Cambridge damaged my old suit... they took full responsibility, didn't quibble or haggle unreasonably as many cleaners usually do... and took care of me as a customer. You come back and it's done when they said it would be. It's cheap and they never lose anything or mess anything up. A nice local cleaners, I've used the same franchise on 7th Steet. But they separated themselves from the rest and not in a good way. I was consulting in the area, found them by accident but recognized the signage. Two shirts, done Friday, I forgot to pick up, and, my consulting assignment was over. So, on Monday, I drove back up to the Cambridge Cleaners to get my cleaning. "Oh, the white shirt didn't make it back", said the nice young woman. "No, that's not gonna work, dear. I just made a special trip here to fetch my shirts THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DONE FRIDAY!" Then, presto! here' s my shirt. So, they didn't know if they did or did not know if they had my cleaning. How difficult is it when THAT'S YOUR BUSINESS?!!! I may or may not consult in the area again, but I know I don't need a dry cleaner like Cambridge. read more

I don't really know the difference between a good dry cleaner and a great dry cleaner, but I do know a bad one. Cambridge Cleaners is certainly not a bad one. Prices are comparable and listed on the store's Website. It's not the cheapest, but it is a better deal than many of the other dry cleaners in the immediate area. I got a suit dry cleaned ($5 for both the jacket and pants) and six shirts laundered ($12). Both the dry cleaning and laundry were ready by 4pm the next day. Same day is available for dry cleaning if you get there early enough. When you walk into Cambridge it looks the same as every other dry cleaner I've been to. A counter to drop off and pick up clothes, a big automated rack filled with clothes, and a view of all the machines in the back. But it doesn't hurt that the staff is very nice and the registers are up to date with scannable printed tickets. read more

They are the nicest folks and they do a great job. They damaged one shirt in the past 12 years and promptly paid for a new one. You can't tell any difference between their $2.75 cleaning for any garment a full service dry cleaner that charges $6 to $7 per item. The girls on the counter are very friendly and helpful. Try them. If this was 2014 I would give them a 4-5 star. They have had problems ever since I have been with them for 2 years with their laundry side. The mens shirts keep coming back with strange creases or wrinkles that are very hard to iron out. Despite this issue I have stayed loyal because they ruined a shirt last year (2014) and just like Brett's review they offered to pay for it and I got my check pretty fast. I understand mistakes and the owner did a good job of stepping up. Now I am guessing they have a new owner, because I just had a few different items that got very ruined...Looks like something went wrong with the chemical? This time when we approached the owner, he was very rude, and combative. This is not acceptable when a company does wrong. Additionally the mens laundered shirts are having many issues again. February they lost my shirt, after 3 visits and questioned by your staff to verify that I or my wife picked it up you gave me someone else's shirt that was the same size. It was a nice shirt so I took it! It solved my problem. Recently My wife returned a dress with drycleaning fluid/white chemical stain down the front. Returned and was cleaned properly. Today shirt was lost, but found behind the counter and is now to be dry cleaned. If the price was not good and location on the way to work I would look elsewhere. Most of the staff is very friendly. However, they have ruined one of my expensive skirts--shrunk it so that the attached slip now hangs out; I only wore it once and have done a poor pressing items with deep creases across the back of dress shirts, etc. I have had to return things for a "redo" and customer service is poor. Their staff is always helpful and they're dry cleaning is excellent for the price point. You can drop off your dry cleaning by 9 a.m. And get it back by 4 p.m. How great is that? Unfortunately, they've changed their dry cleaning policies; if you drop off after 9 AM on Friday items are not available until after 4 PM on Monday. This no longer works for me or my schedule. Just moved to the area and came in here twice due to the convenient location. The 1st time I came in, one of my shirts shrunk in laundry. The 2nd time, one of my shirts came back with a tear in the arm. I called to see if they would take care of it and they told me its a wear and tear issue. Having only had this shirt for 6 months and never having an issue with my previous dry cleaner, I was certainly surprised to hear that. For me it seems pretty clear cut that if a garment is damaged in your possession that you should replace it. This week was the first time I used this dry cleaners. Dropped 9 pieces off about 4:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon (Ladies suits - pants, jackets, skirts). It is required to pay in advance and there is a fifty cent charge to use a credit card. But it was only $24.75! No biggie. Was able to pick up everything the following day at 4PM. They have same day service if you get your clothing in during the early morning hours. Both ladies I dealt with were very pleasant and friendly and the cleaning seems to be just what I needed. During rush hour it can be a little difficult to get out of the little plaza they are in off Cave Creek Road but it is not impossible. I feel their services are an excellent value and I intend on returning to use them again for my dry cleaning. Great quality cleaning and experience! read more

Disappointing experience with the rudeness and business practices of the cleaners. I had done business with the previous owners but had stopped after bad experiences. Thought of patronizing again after hearing some good opinions, but seems I was a bit too hasty. I am used to using the many drycleaning coupons that we get on the mail and the internet, and most of the cleaners accept the competitors coupons. Cambridge cleaners also accepted the competitors coupons the past few visits, but I did not notice that they were really not giving me the coupon price, but some other price (below their regular price)! Last week I noticed the difference and when questioned, Diane's comment was that "they accept competitors coupons but does not match!". Not sure what this meant, and I called Russ, the owner, who also stated the same! The behavior of both Diane and Russ, I felt were quite rude, and i have decided not to patronize them again. Update: I just visited the cleaners to drop off the shirts that they had mistakenly given me and spoke with a manager named Russell. I explained to him that I'm an operations specialist for a large retirement living company and was very cordial with our conversation. I told him that this whole situation could have been curbed if someone would have just acknowledge my inconvenience or said I'm sorry or even thank you for bringing the shirts back however his staff chose not to. He responded that now he has another person angry at him and never once did he say I'm sorry or thank you to me. I literally dropped off $65 worth of dry cleaning on my way to this cleaners and I nor any of my family will ever come back here again! I've been living in Arizona for 5 years now and this is true only dry cleaners that we've used. From the start of taking our clothes to this dry cleaners they have done alright nothing really above and beyond for the money that we pay for the amount of clothing we take each time. We don't take a small amount we take a good bunch of pile of designer and non-designer clothing. But just recently I took a good group of designer clothing first two of my dresses weren't even dry cleaned just put a ticket on it and then hung. Then one of my $300 designer shirt that had two bows on it was ruined Italian made one of kind from a recent collection of a favorite designer of mine. No one had told anyone to undo the bows but yet they were undone. When I did take time out of my schedule to go to talk a very unproductive, unprofessional manager so called a Russell, he left two minutes before I arrived and then left my phone number with the dry cleaner associate and never called be back the following day and then acted stupid never apologized yes sorry I did forget to call you back how may I help you. Because I have a very busy schedule I had to call back myself waisting my time speaking with him an ignorant person that kept talking over me to give him the shirt and that he'll file a claim and then figure it out. He has no professionalism and knows nothing about business. Didn't let me talk and didn't want to take a look at the cameras to see who ruined the shirt, better yet to say he didn't want to assist at all. Didn't even care a thing in the world that the one of a kind Italian made shirt was ruined by his associates and didn't want to do nothing about it. Just kept giving his suggestions but didn't resolve nothing as if it were my fault. This place is so disgusting and has a foul smell even when you walk in and the associates are dressed all provocatively and so unprofessional and know nothing about designer clothing. I did suggest for him to advertise that in his window that he doesn't associate with designer clothing and didn't even care. Was very rude and unprofessional, I'd rather pay twice as much for one piece of clothing that I took to this horrible place and drive a hell a far in the middle of nowhere than to take another piece of my clothing to his horrible place. No one should go if you have non-designer clothing go right ahead they have no respect for the clients that come in and out of they're vile place let alone for clothing. I hadn't been to Cambridge before, but the owner was there taking the massive stack of clothes for me, and he was very friendly. We couldn't be happier with Cambridge Cleaners. My husband wears a Tux at least once a week and it always comes back in beautiful shape. We take in suits and dress shirts weekly and have never had any problems of any kind. The service is great and the people are friendly. The prices are great too and the quality of the cleaning is never compromised. I would recommend Cambridge Cleaners to anyone and everyone. The owner does care about his customers.
