Quality going downhill. Garments coming back with stains that weren't there before. Laundered shirts are coming back wrinkled, even after being re-done. Clothes are returned scrunched together at the cleaners. I have to separate them immediately. They also are damaging with abrasive cleaning process. I'm going elsewhere. read more

I walked in with an armload of clothes. The girl acted so dumb and wasn't answering my questions. Then she yawned and rubbed her eyes . I asked for padded hangers for my silk shirts. She just shook her head no. I said there's a padded hanger on that shirt. She said we only do wire and wouldn't even turn around to look at what I was referring to. I stomped out. *BEWARE* using Cougar Cleaners on Via Linda We were loyal customers for over two years! Never had an issue until they ruined then lost my white linen duvet cover! I dropped my linen duvet off in March and when It was picked up, it was completely RUINED. I then sent it back and asked for the duvet to be fixed of all yellow marks, then they LOST my duvet cover for over 30 days. I Have been more than patient with the owner, yet he refuses to pay for damaged item. So disappointed and will NEVER be back. I was a loyal customer here for close to two years, and am sad to say that I have to take my business elsewhere. About a year ago, they lost my favorite white sweater. The good news is, they owned up to it, and asked us to submit a claim. We did. One year later... no sweater, no processed claim. It's not like we didn't try. I submitted two claims and left several notes for the owner (who is NEVER in the shop), but every time the notes and claims are ignored. Whenever I call or go in to follow up, there's always different people working, so they never know what I'm talking about. It's such a shame, because they get the job done for a decent price, but I can't keep spending my money at an establishment who clearly do not care about their regulars. read more

Finding a good drycleaner is like finding a good man...JUST KIDDING. It's actually like WAAAAAY more important than that! All it takes is one time and one expensive designer silk dress that's carelessly ruined for you to be terrified to ever go to a drycleaner ever again. Fear not! This place is great! Very quick, nice staff, inexpensive, and I've never had an issue with a garment here. Plus, your clothes don't come back with that weird "drycleaner smell" which is nice and they put these none slip foamy thingys on all of their wire hangers so nothing slips off. Aww how thoughtful! I mean, there's nothing more swear-word inducing then a freshly laundered drycleaned item falling onto the pavement due to slipping off it's hanger. My only ONLY bone to pick is it's such a bummer that they are closed on Sundays. It's inevitable really on Sunday I will a.) Crave Chick Fil'a something fierce and b.)need something drycleaned. Staff is efficient when dropping off your items and you can pick up your dry cleaning the next day after four. Good neighborhood location since they are right next door to Fry's. They offer other services like shirts, clothes with beading and even dry cleaning for pillows which I have not tried yet but I think there is an extra charge for these. read more

This place is cheap, efficient, and get the job done right. $2.50 for most items!! :-) They will also replace a button on a button down shirt at no charge! I've never had an issue here, the folks working there are quick and friendly. I primarily have used cougar cleaners for my work attire. My only reason for the lack of a 5 star review is when I needed my duvet cleaned. It's 100% cotton not fancy material or anything. It was $30 for the duvet and took over a week. Also for each sham was $5!! Considering their everyday items are so reasonable (and generally available next day) I was just floored. For my work dresses, button downs, pants and skirts I will absolutely continue to use Cougar as my primary dry cleaners. But for "specialty" items I will seek out a more economical and speedy service. read more

This is the best place I have found to get my dry cleaning done in Scottsdale. The prices are great and the employees are always friendly. I have been hesitant to get certain things cleaned in the past at other places(I have a few favorite items that I can't find anymore and are way too comfortable to lose), but they have always done a great job and are very knowledgable about the process of taking care of my clothes. I had them launder some clothes for me..nothing that really needed to be dry cleaned..just stuff I didn't want to iron personally..well I guess they didn't want to iron it either...thanks for the wrinkly sleeves and ruffles that don't lay flat...and my clothes smelled kind of funky..like when you forget about a load and leave them to sit in the washing machine...glad I basically paid for nothing.. I used to go to another $2.50 cleaner in South Scottsdale that had great reviews. However, now that I live further north, it's really not convenient for me. Plus, I noticed their Yelp reviews really dropped within the past couple of years. Since I have a steamer, I rarely go to the dry cleaners. However, I have a few suit items that need the care of the dry cleaners so I turned to Yelp and found Cougar Cleaners. Their hours are convenient and it's right off the highway, which is great for me. You pre-pay for the items and they're ready by 5pm the next day. Was very thankful to locate Cougar Cleaners. it's only $2.50 an item so I was able to get all my items dry cleaned before ending my vacation. They were even able to do some shirts that had beading or other embroidery, which most discounted cleaners will turn away. read more

I don't understand why these people are in the cleaning business. Nothing comes out clean. My experience 4 trips in a row: 1 silk shirt. they ironed it but left all the stains. They redid it and they came out. 2. another silk shirt- same story as above. 3. dress. The same story. But they would not redo it without me signing a release that they were not responsible for any damage. So took it to another cleaner and got it cleaned right the first time. 4. Ok. I figured they can't clean silk. Or are afraid of cleaning silk. Whatever. So I brought 2 pairs of cotton capris. I could have washed them myself but don't like to iron. Guess what? same story. Same stains. They redid it and got MOST of the food stains out. Guess I'll have to wash it myself anyway. It's nice to have a cheap dry cleaner nearby and it is nice that they hire personable staff but they are the most incompetent workers I have ever seen. BTW there is a new dry cleaner at FLW just north of Shea- Summit- same location as the one that closed down summer of 2014. Not quite as cheap as Cougar but still cheap. And clothes actually come back cleaned!!! read more

I found one of the staff members to be particularly rude and uncooperative, made no attempt to resolve what I observed to be fairly mundane issue and had the nerve to insult the customer by claiming they were yelling! I'm standing right there and that's not what I observed. The staff was completely out of line in trying to defend poor workmanship, refusing to make any attempt to mediate the problem and claiming (falsely that the customer had raised his voice at her when I thought she was clearly the one being loud and obnoxious. The public does have options, we can take our business elsewhere. Being cheap does not replace good customer service. read more

I dropped off 2 items that had stains and went over the areas with them to get those specific marks cleaned. I got both items back with the stains. I realized this once I got home, so I went to drop off both items and went back over the stained areas with the rep to get them removed. They redid them at no charge but I got them back with the stains still there. While I've only lost out on $6 I now have taken them to a different cleaner to get fixed so really it's been a giant waste of time. And essentially I'm spending double the money since I'm paying another cleaner to fix them. I wanted to give them a 2nd chance and I really don't like leaving negative reviews- but I run an eBay business reselling clothes so I was hoping to find a neighborhood cleaner that I could regularly bring a lot of my business to. The owner tried to claim that it was from wear and tear (he suggested it was from moving a computer mouse when that's not even possible) when it was obviously not wear and tear. Very immoral.
