I was so happy when I found this complex. I think it had everything that I wanted in a community, as well as the space + storage I wanted for my own place. I had a 2bdr-2bath corner unit on the second level, and my building was pretty centrally located. I got great natural lighting due to all the windows I had - it was the thing that made me want this place! Love the open concept. I also loved the huge garden style bathtubs - i am now forever spoiled and cannot live in another space without one! For the most part, it was a very nice and quiet community. Neighbors are friendly and the staff was mostly responsive and attentive. I also want to give a special shout out to the maintenance guys - they keep this place well maintained and they are super friendly, professional, and trustworthy! Unfortunately, towards the end of my stay here, as new neighbors moved in, the community started to change a bit. People were louder, seemed inconsiderate of neighbors, and more break-ins were happening even though this is a gated area. It's not entirely the management's fault, but I wish they were enforcing the rules more. Overall, I would recommend this place to people. I really did appreciate my stay here. Used to be a good place to live. Camden used to care about residents. No more with the current manager in charge who is crass, rude and has zero customer service skill set. If you want to live with rattlesnakes, scorpions and management that doesn't care then sign up. It's sad because Camden used to be a good place and I've spent over a decade in Camden properties. The gate works only half the time, valet living you have to use but only show up when you complain enough. Maintenance seems to care but that's about the only positive anymore. Spend your money somewhere better kept up and where it's valued. The current management here is a joke. read more

We set up an appointment to view a apartment. When we arrived we were told that we were too late even though we arrived early. There was clearly 25 minutes for us to view an apartment but the staff is too LAZY, that is our opinion of our experience. The advertised rate was for 10 MONTHS - and would include $200 worth of addition cable, trash and ancillary fees. It is in our opinion, when you see people living in tents it is direction correlation to these out of state companies raising the rents so high that people can not afford them. We definitely would not recommend this company nor ever living there. read more

Well, this is my second time with an apartment complex and this was a much better experience. The staff from day #1 was very attentive to our needs and helped my wife decide on our first place together. We searched all around the Austin area in search for a place that was convenient for her employment near 1st and Ben White Blvd and mine with the State near 51st and Guadalupe. My wife chose this place because the grounds were beautiful, the unit was fresh looking, clean, enough room for the 2 of us, the lighting with all the windows, the views from the balcony, and the professionalism of the staff. The unit was spacious enough at over 700 square feet that we had multiple guests sleep over with room for everyone. Even during our wedding week in May 2017 we had 4 additional family in our apartment for a few days and there was no issue. (Our #2 choice was also a Camden property just down the street off of Davis Rd) This place is in a wonderful location if you are in the South Austin area. It was easy access to everything we needed from HEB, Cost Co, Gold's Gym, downtown, and work. It was even easy for all our family and friends to visit from Killeen, Waco, and San Antonio. My wife even loved it so much she rarely made the trip north to IKEA. She became a south Austin girl and would only venture past Zilker Park once in a blue moon. If you are in the market for renting in the Austin area I highly recommend this location and many of the other Camden properties. We visited many others Camden included and this offered the best compromise for us. The rent pricing structure implemented by Camden seems fair for rent in Austin. The perks of working with a professional entity such as Camden reduces a lot of stress when it comes to renting. We will definitely visit a Camden property again if renting is in our future. I moved in a week ago and I am in love with my new apartment! The multiple windows throughout the floorpan creates an inviting and bright space for me to enjoy. I cannot say enough about the beautiful location and well maintained grounds. I feel very safe here and the office staff has been great to work with. Elon is very sweet and had everything ready for me when I came to pick up my keys. They answered all my emails very quickly and move in was a breeze (I transferred from another Camden property). The maintenance staff has also been great, they even called me to let me know that they fixed an issue I had and brought in a large package I had sitting in the hallway. What nice people:) The upgraded interiors are very beautiful and bright and my 1 bedroom (Elm floorpan) is incredibly spacious with a large patio. The tech package is a steal (I was paying $80 for internet alone at my old apartment) and set up was essentially plug and play after getting the receiver from Spectrum. I haven't been in the pool yet, but it seems very family oriented and serene while walking by...even on Memorial day weekend. Ahh, peace and quiet! I am so glad that I chose this property! The HVAC was broken the day I moved in with dirty, bacteria and mold filled air ducts. Hidden black mold growing in the walls and floors from water damage. My dog was also bitten badly by an off leash dog in the courtyard. High turnover with staff at the office - they're trained to appease over promise and underdeliver to keep you quietly waiting. Camden did not ever intend to do a mindful remediation to make the apartment safe. Camden will never make the repairs necessary if mold is involved that requires a serious costly repair. Camden does not care how dirty air ducts are no matter how disgusting the previous renters lived. The attitude of Camden was the worst they will refuse to even say the word - mold. Camden acting like a slumlord that will treat you like trash - even if it's a luxury apartment rental. read more

Get ready to come out of pocket for fees. What started nicely, ended terribly. This community will hit you with violation after violation. They offer paid parking for uncovered spots?!? This should show that all they care about is squeezing you for every dollar. Gate rarely works. Love animals in your HVAC? This is your spot. Don't worry though, after the rodent dies and your exposed to their smell for a week or two, they only charge $1000 to transfer to a lesser unit. Everyone here has been pretty great to work with and maintenance team is amazing. They fix things within 24 hours! Some of the complaints are crappy parking, terrible HVAC (I have two air purifiers in my apartment and the filters need to be replaced every 4 weeks, which they should last 3 months. I vacuum every week and my vacuum fills with dust and also all my furniture is constantly dusty- wish they would have someone come clear the ducts. If you have bad allergies, beware). Also, I know living in apartments and sharing walls is never ideal, but out of all apartments I have lived at, this place has the thinnest walls. I can hear my neighbor coughing in their bedroom, using bathroom, and then some...) wish there was better insulation in between bedroom walls cause it's the main reason I'm looking to move. read more

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Last holiday season the management got to take all the holidays several mind you while my apartment molded following a flood that did over $15,000 worth of damage to my personal property. The flood was due to an improperly installed hot water heater bursting in the middle of the night. It was the second one I had had in the unit after enduring multiple plumbing problems. MY insurance was the only compensation I received for the loss b/c their insurance man claimed my lease required the policy for that coverage and they were liable for none of my lost time, emotional distress, or property damage. They let me out of my lease two weeks early and claimed that was all that I deserved. I did not want to move but they did not clean up after the damage b/c they knew I was going to have to move. I ended up HAVING to move on New Year's and missed Christmas with my family b/c the office staff was on vacation and I had to deal with the mess myself. This was even after I had the first water heater replaced and had plumbing issues with sewage in my tub, etc. right after moving in. They tried to give me half off one month's rent in December and I had to fight to get to have that month free. Two weeks rent is really just compensation for losing my personal belongings and my holiday season? Truly? Office staff sucks, aesthetics are nice but beware because beauty is skin deep and this place's construction is shoddy at best. read more

I am moving out of Camden Cedar Hills this weekend (I am so, so sad). This community has been my home for 2 1/2 years and it has been the best apartment community I have ever lived in - and I have lived in A LOT of communities. Nine to be exact...and I'm only 26. Ha! But that's not the point, so let's move on to the good stuff... The community is always clean, always quiet, always perfect. There were minor things that have been a little weird, like dog poop in certain grassy areas, but whatever...if you have a dog, deal with it...it happens everywhere. Secondly, I only experienced loud noise coming from the pool once while having an apartment near it, so I called courtesy patrol and they instantly went by, shoo'd the pests away and I was back to being happy as a clam. I lived in three different apartments my entire time here; two facing the pool, and one facing Slaughter. I loved them all. They have an extremely reliable maintenance team. I mean, these guys are great. I kept clogging my bathroom for some peculiar reason - other than wild taco nights at the local taqueria, but they respond rapidly, and did a great job. There were a few other miscellaneous things and those also got quick responses. I haven't really dealt much with the leasing staff, but they've always been super when I've had a question about something or when I've tattle-tale'd on someone for a wrong-doing. :) It's a pet-friendly, family-friendly, young professional-friendly, community. Good for all. It's away from crazy downtown, but still close to south Austin shops and the new Alamo Drafthouse. Oh yeah! One thing I did hate - and this wasn't Camden's fault - the Bowie High School marching band and their super-ultra-mega loud instruments early summer mornings...ugh. I lived through it, though. I guess it's okay if you don't sleep in during the week like I do. So yeah...move here! The reason I am moving is because I can no longer afford it. LOL! I'm a loser, and I will be moving to Riverside...where I hope to like the new districts that are being built. I've been living in this apartment complex for about 1.25 years, and my experience has been great. Everything provided in your unit is high quality - expensive appliances, dense carpeting, beautiful countertops, and thick walls where you can't hear your neighbors. Parking is free and plenty. The rent is pretty good considering it's Austin, especially when there is a spacious dog park included. Maintenance always attends to service requests very quickly. The leasing office people are great, as they are always happy to help. My packages have never been stolen, so I feel safe with my neighbors. If I could give this place more stars, I would. And that's a rarity for me. I've lived here for just under a year now, and just renewed my lease. Camden Cedar Hills exceeds my expectations in every way possible. The office staff, maintenance, tenants, amenities, location, and apartments themselves are wonderful. The office staff is really friendly. Always free to help with anything I go in there for. They'll sign for packages if you're not home. They always greet me by name, take the time to get to know me, and ask how my business is doing. They put on a fair amount of social events for the apartment community as well. I haven't attended any myself, but the bash by the pool looked like a lot of fun. Maintenance is amazing. They are extremely quick to respond to service requests, often completes them within the same day, does an incredible job, and are so professional. They wait til 10am to come by because they know I usually leave for work shortly after and don't want to wake me! Does it get any better than that?! They've even offered to help me move heavy items/furniture because I'm a female living here by myself, and knew I needed assistance. They take care of everything from light bulb replacements to power outages. They do an extremely good job too! And they have 24/7 on call maintenance in case you ever have an emergency or lock yourself out of the apartment (been there, done that). When my washer broke, they called me first thing the next morning and had a brand new one installed within the hour. The residents are friendly, pick up after their dogs, quiet, and respectful. I've never had any noise problems. I'm probably the noisiest of my neighbors, actually. The grounds are always kept really clean and free of litter. The pool is always clean and never over crowded. It's very peaceful, especially during the weekdays. There is also a lovely business center and very cool rec room with large flat screens, table shuffleboard, billiards, and a kitchen. Great for small get togethers. And the pool is extremely serene with a tropical feel. It has an awesome area with lounge chairs in a very shallow (about 6 inches) separate pool for tanning, tables with umbrellas, and 2 really nice BBQ grills. I like to lay on my raft in the afternoons :) Almost forgot, and a 24 hour fitness center. It's a great location as well. It's right down the street from Mopac and only a short drive from downtown. I'd choose Mopac over I-35 any day! I can make it to work in Central Austin in less than 15 minutes. There are 2 HEB's, a Randall's, and multiple other great restaurants/stores within a couple miles. They just opened an Alamo Drafthouse down the street as well! Oh yea, the rates are surprisingly affordable. The floor plans are awesome and mine is very open (which I love). I looked at over 30 places before choosing here. Everything is darn near brand new. The kitchen has matching stainless steel appliances, a built-in microwave, a pantry, and granite-style countertops. A full-size washer and dryer is also included. The bathroom has plenty of counter space, storage, and an oversized garden tub. Other things that make me tingle inside... light, neutral painted walls with white trim, crown molding, and 6 panel doors, ceiling fans, 2 inch blinds (not the obnoxious little ones that always break or the vertical ones that fall off every time you open your patio door!), large patio (with storage closet), and a walk in closet (not big enough for me, but larger than any of the other apartments that I saw). I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale, luxurious apartment at a great price! read more

My fiance and I have lived here for the past 6 months or so and we both love it. This is my 3rd apartment in Austin and my favorite so far. Our neighbors are great and we love the friendly vibe. The office staff has always been helpful and friendly as well. Every time we have needed anything they have been prompt. The layout of the apartment is nice and it's a good size for the 2 of us and our 2 pets. Since we have an energetic dog, we love the giant dog park although when it rains it is basically a mud park. We almost never have parking issues and it's very quiet despite Slaughter and the high school across the street. The downsides? While we love the layout, the doors in the apartment are weird. The door into our bedroom and the closest door cannot both be open at the same time, same with the doors into to bathroom from the living room and the bedroom. Luckily, we never have a need for all these doors to be open at the same time. Also, the storage closet for our model is tiny! All it has in it are moving boxes folded up and there isn't space for anything else. Finally, the gate. It really doesn't do much and there isn't a clicker for it. You have to use a card meaning you have to stop on your way in, scan the card, and then go in. There also isn't a gate code (at least we don't know about it if there is) so our guests have to wait, too. Overall, if we were going to stay in south Austin after this year, we would certainly be staying here. read more

So I don't know where to start. I moved out of Camden Cedar Hills about a year ago. I had lived on the property for 3 years!!! I moved out to be closer to work. I totally forgot to write a review. The shame I feel. I will always remember Camden Cedar Hills as my home away from home. The staff is warm and welcoming, and I absolutely love chatting with Erin and Kodi. I live in a Greystar property now and I must say Camdens customer service beats grey star hands down ! What I love about Camden Cedar Hills is the landscape is beautiful, spacious units, and of course the maintenance team ( very fast responses). It's also tucked away in a nice calm area. I moved to Camden Cedar Hill appx 2.5 years ago maybe longer. This has one of the greatest places to live. I enjoyed the security of living in a gated community, the office staff is very nice and accommodating, the maintenance staff is very professional and quick to respond to any request for service. Elon Harris was absolutely exceptional throughout the leasing process and beyond. Meanwhile Assistant Manager Britney Welch was always responsive and treated residents as if they were family. My time at Camden Cedar Hills was sadly cut short due to a job transfer to Dallas. However, Britney helped make the process of transferring and moving out a breeze. Love this place!!! I can't say ugood things about the property and the management. I've been a Navy wife for 14 years and have lived all over the country. I thought an apartment is an apartment. That was until I moved here 6 months ago. The property is kept tidy and the staff are incredible. The maintnance guys are so terrific! They not only come right away to repair anything, but they even rearranged my furniture after I had a heart attack, so that I could be more comfortable. The girls in the office call to see if I need anything and follow up on work orders the same day to make sure that everything was done to my liking. I couldn't be happier! read more

Very nice apartments, however,,,,, The apartment management does not enforce pet owners to clean up after their pets. Although there are numerous stations that provide bags and disposal containers, there is no enforcement of it's usage. Thus, there is dog feces evident throughout the grounds that presents a hazard to the environment as well as your pets walking around in it. read more

I gave two stars because while the apartment and complex is modern and appealing, the staff and experience my roommate and I have had is horrible. Before moving in the leasing agent and everyone in the office seemed genuinely nice but after moving in, everything changed. The first night we moved in our downstairs neighbors banged on the ceiling at the first chance possible. They continued the banging when the shower was turned on later in the night. Since that night, they have banged a countless number of times and we have received at least 10 noise complaints (granted we haven't been written up yet). The walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin and it also seems our neighbors have very sensitive hearing. The neighbors are friends with everyone in the office as well as everyone in our building so it seems like they have the advantage in this situation. Please don't be fooled into believing these are the greatest apartments, because trust me, the experience I've had is the worst. Edit: Just moved it down to one star because yesterday I had a member of the staff come to my door and accuse me of a noise complaint from 3am the night before. We were all asleep by 12:30 and when I told her that she proceeded to yell at me and was very rude and disrespectful. We will definitely not be renewing our lease! read more

I moved into Camden while going through a divorce and I was lucky enough to get a first floor 701 sq ft apartment. I was very satisfied with the apartment especially since I was likely to lose just about everything I had built for my family through divorce. This place offered the kind of feel that was luxurious and a fantastic alternative that softened the blow of losing a house. The amenities are beautiful with stainless refers, track lighting, faux marble counter tops and 9 ft ceilings. A lot of work went into the bathrooms with the elegant tile and the final touches of framed mirrors and designer light fixtures, garden tub and raised bathroom countertops. Bottom floors have all hardwood flooring which was especially nice considering I have a dog. The unit I was in was back far enough from the traffic of Slaughter La and was comfortable and cozy, well shadowed and was fairly cool during the summer months. The only issue I had while living in this unit was the inconsiderate apartment mates who didnt think to turn their car headlights off when parking in front of my bedroom window. Had I chosen a unit more carefully, I definitely would have picked a unit that faced the greenbelt. I wound up moving to the townhouse later on and was extremely impressed especially with the garage and amount of space. The interior decor with the stone face countertop base and decorative pillars added a touch of class to an already very exclusive and upscale townhouse. The extremely high ceilings in the family room (20ft') and spacious bedrooms worked very well. I wasn t too impressed with the closet design in the master but overall the unit was spacious and private. If you don t want to deal with noisy neighbors, get the townhouse but you will pay for your privacy, peace and quiet. The front porch was a bonus to include the storage area in the attached garage. I did run into some issues with a few unforeseen events that were attributed to weather, bad neighbors and equipment malfunctions. This is where the Camden Cedar Hills staff did an outstanding job of accommodating my needs. Not only were they concerned wbout the issues, they were willing to work with me and get me into a different unit that was problem free. I cant thank them enough for helping me and getting this done with expediency. My new place has meet my every need. I live on a third floor unit, high above the noise (no neighbors stomping around above you), the lights and the drama. I face the rear greenbelt and have a wonderful view of the trails and cedar trees that line the back of the property. My unit has had no problems, its quiet and very homey. The unit I got is a spacious 1 bedroom (the largest 1 bedroom Camden has to offer') and has an oversized kitchen island, excellent bathroom with double vanity and the best of the three apartments walk in master closets. I am very happy with the third floor choice. The hike up the stairs with groceries and moving in sucked the big one, but you dont have to do it everyday. Next time I will pay to have my stuff moved. I highly recommend the third floor for those of you looking for quiet yet extravagant living. If you move into a second or first floor, suck up the noise from above. Its a fact of life when it comes to apartment living and thats the sacrifice. If you go into the two bottom floors, dont complain about noise when you had a choice to move to a third floor so back off. Anyway thanks to Camden Cedar Hills staff I can finally call my new place home. My plan is to extend my lease through 2011 or 2012. You cant beat the price for what they offer with the services, the staff and even the maintenance folks do for you!
