. I had a pleasant visit previously and since they don't require reservations decided to stop in for bday brunch on Sunday . We arrived at about 1015 and were seated right away (we were the only patrons). We all got the chicken and waffles (with syrup on the side), a side of potatoes, grits and Turkey sausage. I have to say while the food was not nasty, it was not as good as it was at past visits. Everything was just meh. The chicken which i remembered to be perfectly cooked and seasoned seemed to be not cooked well, maybe not fried hard enough but seemed to be cooked on the outside. If that makes sense. Even looking at pics of chicken from before and yesterday , you could tell yesterday wasn't their best. Although the grits were too cooked and not very appetizing and Turkey sausage was just too gamey for my taste . Most irritating (for lack of a better word).. the music. So it was a mix of rnb and hip hop ... ok, fine i guess . Although on a Sunday morning I would think the selections would be a bit milder. And i knew most of The songs and liked them but some of the lyrics were the unedited versions with extremely explicit lyrics. I did not say anything but I guess someone came to their senses and switched the song at the end. I also attempted to order a mimosa and was told that they couldn't make it until 11 am. I was initially ok with that but finished eating what o wanted to eat by like 1140. I didn't want to wait. The service was good, restaurant and restrooms very clean, food came out right away. Perhaps it was just a bad day. I likely would not return for brunch but would probably try to visit if in the area for lunch or dinner. read more

Tonight's dinner for my friends birthday and this place was definitely a hit the food was great. Me an the party of six enjoyed the music and food. This place had a nice little set up and lots of picture worthy corneas they had nice green and gold couches the decor was very cute and girl definitely looks like a social spot for a group of girls or a quick business meeting over lunch in the area. The waiter was very nice and helpful i wish i remembered her name but they all seemed nice . The food was delicious i give this place a over all a 8/10. Really like the atmosphere with the Jamaican music playing, spacious, clean and a nice small bar. Service is great, attentive and prompt. The drinks are artfully presented and strong! Anything on the menu that's not chicken is pricey (close to $30 which is too much in my opinion). The food is just OK. The brown stew chick3n is almost flavorless. First time at Cameals and I will be coming back! To start I went Jerk Wings and Crab Cakes. Both were seasoned well and off the chain. Jerk Wings had a good spice level. Not too hot, but hot enough to know it's there. For the main I went with Oxtail plate. You know it had extra gravy. Decent size plate, I almost needed that to-go box but we prevailed. Tried Cameals for the first time with a friend for a girl's brunch and was shocked at how spacious and aesthetically pleasing the restaurant is. Nice to have a fun restaurant that looks nice and the food is actually good in Gwinnett. Cameals is walk in only and we were seated quickly for brunch. There was a variety of seating from booths, tables or a spacious bar seating. For drinks I ordered the mimosa and my friend had the blueberry lemonade as they make fresh juices daily. Our server checked on us within reasonable time and gave great recommendations. I ordered the M&M chicken and waffle without the hot sauce but they do offer it with hot honey and hot sauce. The chicken was PERFECT. Fried just right and seasoned well. The waffle was not your traditional batter, it held the flavor well but didn't hold together that great with syrup or easily cut. My friend and I visited Cameals on a Saturday afternoon. The place was not crowded, only 2 other tables. We were greeted and seated promptly. I ordered the Mojito as my drink. It was pretty strong with the white rum, which tasted like Wray & Nephew. I ordered the Brina's Fish and Grits, which was fried Swai. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits. In my opinion the shrimp tasted better but they were both delicious. I ordered the Ackee and Saltfish to go after receiving a sample in the restaurant. It wasn't as good as I hoped it would be when I got home. I felt like it could've been seasoned a little more but I know I'm biased as a Jamaican. It was still good but not the best I've had. Came on a Sunday for Brunch with the husband. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. The music is cultural. The waiters are very sweet and welcoming. This was the first time visiting. I do have to say we need to come back for lunch or dinner. We ordered the chicken & waffles. My husband was not pleased with the over size jumbo chicken so he changed his to regular egg, waffle and bacon. I went ahead and tried the chicken and it was very tasty and crunchy. I've been here twice, once for brunch and once for dinner, and I must say...I really like this cute restaurant! My friend and I came from brunch she had the breakfast burrito, and I had chicken and waffles with a side of cheese eggs. All was delicious. My wings were a nice size and seasoned well. Then, about 3 weeks later, came back for dinner. We ordered the rasta pasta with chicken and ribeye. I normally don't like ordering steaks from non steakhouses, but the steak was seasoned and cooked at a perfect medium, which was surprising. If you're in this in the area, give this place a try . I'm glad I happened to notice this restaurant while shopping at TJ Maxx because it's kind of wedged between Five Guys and a mattress store and easy to drive right by it. I've come here a few times since I've discovered the place. The decor caught my attention was I was passing by one day. I decided to stop in and check out the menu and realized it was a Caribbean brunch restaurant. The decor inside was beautiful and I was surprised to not see much of a crowd at all but I guess not many people want to make the drive to Loganville. I ordered a sorrel to go and decided that I'd definitely come back and dine in for brunch. The following weekend my friend and I came to dine in. Once again there was no crowd. We were seated at a booth immediately. She ordered the fish and grits and I ordered the shrimp and grits. My food was amazing! My friend requested hot sauce and we were given this sauce that was amazing. Our server was very sweet. She gave me the name of the sauce so I could go buy it. We ordered drinks as well but I don't recall the names. I really enjoyed the ambiance from the lighting to the music. I have since come back and ordered a few more times. One thing I'll say is that certain items have been inconsistent. One time I got the sorrel and it was not fully strained. Another time, I got the shrimp and grits with the tail on the shrimp and the other time it was off. Aside from those minor things my experiences have been great. Before seated she had our waters already at the table with extra water if needed. We had the crab fries, 10 out of 10, Oxtails with rice and peas, 9 out of 10, it didn't come with cabbage and plaintain. If that was included 10 out of 10. The decor and colors, loved them. We ordered the Jerk wings, fried chicken, and stew chicken. The jerk wings were delicious, although I would have preferred them a bit more crispier. They were cooked well I just prefer crispy wings. The fried chicken, we asked for oxtail gravy with it, *chefs kiss*. The chicken fried to perfection. The stew chicken was good as well.
