Sister and I wanted to stay local for a Sunday Brunch and this gem was perfect! Loved the playlist and the ambiance. The place felt upscale and elevated for lil ole Loganville and we were here for it all! Loved seeing all the melanin and the food was TASTY Literally left no crumbs. I was a little disappointed that we were unable to try the Salmon Dip (the restaurant was out that day) and we felt like the portions of fish were different on each plate but the creamy grits made up for it. I appreciate the host letting us know about the auto gratuity and next time I plan to order a cocktail. The kids' portions were very small, and my chicken took almost 30 minutes to come out after the server had already dropped off the waffles and the kids' meals. I also asked what came with the kids' meal, and the answer was unclear, so I didn't realize only one was included until later. (Only the chicken and 1 side) What confused me the most was the bill. An adult chicken & waffles with water, plus two kids' chicken & waffles (one with water and one lemonade), somehow totaled $92. Waitress mentioned gratuity was included, but I wasn't given a printed receipt to see any sort of breakdown. Even after doing the math myself ; adult meal ($23), kids meals ($24), two sides ($16), tax, gratuity, and even the $5 lemonade ...the total still only lands around the $80-$82 range. The only way it gets close to $92 is if they charged for the waters and if that's the case, that's honestly ridiculous. I've never had a bill feel this unclear, and the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. This place is amazing. I'm going to start with the customer service which is the best. Now, this spot is located on a busy street and this particular day they had a car show going on. I managed to find parking and I had to walk a few blocks. I made a 1030a reservation on a Saturday. It's a small place so I recommend you make a reservation. The host was very nice. She welcome my guest and I in and she asked for our seat choice. Very nice decor. Our server's name was Nya. She was very good. She explained things on the menu that we had questions about. The manager Ashia also came to the table to check on us. She told us that it a family owned business. It was good to get a history on how everything started. The food was delicious. I wanted to try a few items. I got the platter that is enough food for two people. The only thing I didn't care for was the salmon croquettes. The best thing was the fried chicken. So my sister and I booked our reservation for 2:30 and when we got there we were a bit skeptical because they were hosting an event and the place was packed out and loud. Keep in mind the building is pretty small so there's not too much seating from what I saw. I told the lady my name and she got us seated right away. We were worried we wouldn't get out order in because of the event that was happening but our server came to us within 5 minutes and took our drink order and said she would be back to get our food in once we got our drinks. Even though it was loud for a little while the event ending about 30 minutes after we arrived so the music got lower and it wasn't as crowded. Once our server came back with our drinks she took our food order and our food was out in about 10 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh and it all tasted delicious! When I tell you there was nothing we had that didn't taste amazing! We will definitely be back to try more on the menu. This is such a great place to try out if you're in the area and you will not be disappointed. Every dish was top-notch, and the kitchen clearly knows exactly what they are doing. If this review were based on flavor alone, it would be five stars without question. The Lowlights: FOH and Bar Service Unfortunately, the service was completely unacceptable, specifically regarding the bar and management. Despite there being three bartenders and a manager on duty, the coordination was nonexistent. The Bar Incident: After my drink was missed (despite others at the table receiving theirs), I went to the bar to follow up. I watched the bartender slowly struggle to make a signature drink as if he hadn't been trained on the menu. Worse, he stopped mid-preparation to take a call on his cell phone and walked away, leaving my drink unfinished. Missed Revenue: We actually wanted to spend significantly more on alcohol, but the wait times made it impossible to order another round. Basic Needs: While our server was pleasant, we had to constantly ask for basic items that should have been standard at the table. The Final Straw To top off a frustrating experience, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill for a party of only four. Being forced to pay a premium tip for service that was objectively lacking--and frankly disrespectful at the bar--left a very sour taste in our mouths. read more

The hostess notified us of the 20% gratuity that would be added to our bill and due to reading reviews before arriving we were aware and OK with this. The service was very good and we did not have to wait long for our food. Most everyone got the 263 Main Breakfast and, all in all, everyone at our table was satisfied with the food. The primary con for most in our party was the music. It wasn't bad music. It was just too loud for an 11:30 AM brunch where we came as a family to have a meal and catch up. As far as the prices for the food, it's a brunch restaurant and if you've ever been to other brunch restaurants, they are all relatively expensive so I do not fault them for the prices. I can see the restaurant is trying to raise the bar with excellent service and create a higher energy atmosphere so it's good to be aware that it is a little bit of a different dining experience. read more

For our wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to try a new brunch spot in Loganville. Toasted up was the name. We were excited because we've never been. We always love to try new places. The service was OK. It took us a long time just to get the two mimosas and water, about 30 minutes. Took us about 50 minutes to get our food after ordering. The real disappointment came at the end of the dinner. So apparently this place adds the 20% gratuity off the top. The waitress (bre) never told us. When we sat down we told her this was our first time coming. So when she showed me the bill on the iPad. She skipped over the gratuity part and just showed me what the bill cost was for the food. So I tipped her 25%. Whenever we go out, I try not to tip lower than 20% because I know the workers rely on tips. I asked for a printed copy. She made a weird look. Then she dropped the receipt off at the table and walked off quickly. I looked over the bill as I always do, that's when I saw the 20% gratuity. I asked another waitress, Do y'all always add that and she said yes. So then I asked for the manager.. I explained to the manager that the waitress we had did not show us or even tell us that a 20% gratuity was gonna be added for two people. He immediately started apologizing and saying that he would reverse the second tip. Gave me a receipt told me it takes about 3 to 4 business days. It's been about 2 weeks and I still haven't received a refund. So this post is just to say if you going to go eat there just be prepared to wait. And just know they charge 20% gratuity no matter how many people are in your party right off the top. Really disappointed in how this was handled and I definitely would not be back. read more

We found this place on a whim, we had no idea what to expect. From the moment we walked in everything was top tier. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server came over immediately. The place was clean, the atmosphere, inviting and the food was great! The salmon croquettes were some of the best I've ever had. To top things off, the owner came over and said hello. We went once on a Saturday and I will not return on a weekend. It was so packed and because it's small, this one party had no inside voice it was so loud I couldn't hear my mom who was infront of me. First off, I want to say this place got a 3 stars because the food and the service were good. Now, I'll get into the bad and the reason why we won't be returning to this brunch spot. My husband and I love brunch spots. When we found this one we were excited because it was close by where we live. That excitement was short lived. We went after church on a Sunday. Which is not a time I would expect to hear loud club music. It was so loud we couldn't hear the server or one another talking. It was very irritating screaming at each other. The menu is very over priced. For example we order water and 2 breakfast meals and it was $73 dollars with gratuity added. They add gratuity to the check and the server tried to guilt us into giving more because they have to sure the gratuity with the house. If you give more it goes to the server. I believe in tipping but enough is enough. We are over paying for the food and now you want us to pay twice the gratuity so the server can get what they deserve to get in the first place. I hate when restaurants do this to their servers. They should get what they earn and not have to share with the back of the house. These restaurants need to pay their employees. If you have already over priced your food don't expect me to pay for your employees salary also. read more

Our party of 7 ate a late breakfast today at Toast'd Up. I don't remember the last time I left a Yelp review, but I'm going to leave this one. Positives - the staff was courteous, and the place was very clean. They were also able to seat our larger group with no wait (which, in hindsight maybe should've been a flag). Oh, and the fried chicken was excellent. Negatives - the service was subpar (slow on drink refills, poor organization & time mgmt, etc.); they got 1 order wrong so that everyone was nearly done when our 7th person finally got their correct order; the waffles and french toast were average at best, and the food wasn't especially warm; and there was of course the mandatory 20% tip for our large group, which the server tried three times to upsell even after a less than impressive experience. Premium prices should bring a premium experience. The place opened in April and may not make it a year without some improvements. read more
