Stopped in with a friend who is local and a repeat customer. I felt at home right away with some old veterans enjoying a pint having some good conversation. They have a nice selection of beers on tap to fit your taste. I went with the light lager. It was nice and refreshing since it was pretty hot out. We decided to get a bite to eat also so I tried the buffalo chicken wrap. This brewery puts out some good food. We came back the next two days cause I was very impressed. Not just Bar food!! Great ambiance!! Bubbly staff all walks of life- and the food and beer were very good. Jalapeno poppers may be the best Ive ever had. (Texas transplant for reference) Fajita Quesadilla, Cilantro lime salad, loaded fries lots of to go boxes and 2 full bellies- and a Reeses pie quite yummy after all that savory food. Camelback got off to a rocky start with beer and food several years ago, but oh-my-gosh they turned things around and serve some amazingly delicious food and great beers and ciders now!!! Atmosphere is very laidback and comfortable! The servers were friendly, funny and efficient! Right next door to Lowe's Foods in Sanford... my wife fed me wings, beer and a burger then asked McKayla to babysit while she did some grocery shopping! What an amazing Valentine's Day!!! This place is in a strip mall with a grocery store, a Dollar Tree, Chinese food and some other stores. It's at the far end so you kind of need to know it's there. There's not a ton of seating inside, but there are a few tables and 10 or so seats at the bar. I think they had outdoor tables, as well. The staff were all friendly and eager to answer questions. I was more worried about food than anything! I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap which was good, but it needed more zing so I asked for more sauce to kick it up a notch. Small place with some good brews and food. The Winter Warmer and Reformed Karaoke Singer Belgium Triple were both very good. We had chicken tenders, fries, and salad in our group. Pretty good overall, the homemade dressing/ dip was homemade and tasty. The garlic gorgonzola dressing is really excellent if you love garlic and blue cheese. Lots of both and beware you may be kick out of the group because your breath will smell after eating this. Be prepared with strong gum to mask the odor or practice extra social distancing. Speaking of social distancing and masking, there are patrons of this place who are not a fan of either, not wearing face masks when not at their table or bar eating/drinking and not shy about personal space. Uncomfortable for those of us leery of COVID. Staff was nice but a little overwhelmed by the group of people there for a car event in the parking lot. my spouse and I came in, we ordered the chicken strips with french fries and fried pickles, we took it home and ate it, or tried to anyway. We were not impressed. We both ended up with terrible diarrhea for two days. We will not return, nor will we recommend . all of the food tasted the same like it was fried in the same grease, nothing special about what we brought home from Camelback brewery, the service was great. They were quick and courteous. and the food looked appetizing, but it was far from it. read more

I came in earlier in the week to let the Camelback folks know we would be bringing anywhere from 20-40 cyclists in between 11 and 1 on Sunday. The person I spoke to said ok, that 's great!, but did not inform me that Camelback would refuse to open early. These cyclists generally purchase approximately 2 beers each and also would get food if available, after riding 40-60 miles. Today there were two employees who were there early (before 11 AM), but refused to open before 1 PM. We actually talked to them at the door at 11 AM. So we went to another brewery in town, Hugger Mugger, instead. All of us. There were 28 people at Hugger Mugger who rode today (out of 45 riders) because Camelback would not allow us in to have a beer after our ride. The general consensus amongst the cyclists is that this was a very negative response from Camelback in supporting local community and working with us, plus they lost quite a bit of business today. In the future we will take our business downtown to Hugger Mugger brewery, as they would have opened for us early if need be. We are extremely disappointed in Camelback brewery and all of us will be informing folks in the Triangle as well as Lee county and surrounding areas that Camelback is not friendly to cyclists or willing to accommodate large parties, even though they said they would. The cycling community is close knit and I am sure people will pass this instance on so others know cyclists are not welcome. So disappointing. read more

I tried a flight of beer (you can choose four) - The Bet on Black, The Ruckman Commeth, Plea Bargain and Friend of the Rant RyeIPA. The RyeIPA was hands down my favorite. For food we tried the pimento cheese and ham and havarti sandwich with a side of french farmhouse vegetables, it was great too. If you are near the area definitely check them out. read more

Listen, I love this place. Their beer isn't the *best ever* but it's good! They are constantly changing what beers they have and also have some liquor. Their food is good cheap bar food. The bartenders are super friendly. Just like any bartender, if you treat them well, they will treat you SUPER well. read more

Great easy going place with wide selection of fresh brewed beers. Limited menu of sandwiches with simple sides. I had the club sandwich, wife had the BLT and daughter had the bacon and pimento cheese sandwich. All three sandwiches were excellent, well constructed, generous with components on fresh sourdough bread. Beers were equally outstanding. I very much liked the T-bone Pilsner; the Bush League A-Lister double IPA. Check their website, some weekends they host in bands and provide music with outside seating. Covid precautions were in effect; masks, socially distanced tables and bar seating, limited outside seating. We'll be back! Just Experienced Wing Wednesday. Super tasty wings, very meaty, cooked to perfection. You can order 8 or 12 wings (8 was enough for me, they are good sized wings). Several sauces to select from. I was lucky to visit on a night when Tufts sauces ( a local artisanal sauce maker) was on site. Again offering a wider selection of well priced (only $5 per bottle) homemade sauces. I enjoyed the Harnett Hot, slightly spicy, slightly sweet sauce. Another great evening and another reason to check out Camelback Brewing! read more

We were excited to finally try out this eatery, and really wanted to support, but with it being one of my top 5 worst dining experiences, I cannot. We sat down and gave a drink order, and got them fairly quickly. After 35 minutes of waiting I asked another waitress if we could place our order. After being there almost an hour we got our food, but by then our drinks were almost gone. Never asked about refills. Had to ask for everything; silverware, napkins, condiments....etc. We had to ask 2 different waitresses for things, so not sure who exactly was the waitress for our table, but neither ever checked on us. read more

Truly a hidden gem. Located in a strip mall right off of 501, with a Lowe's grocery store and some other businesses. Plenty of parking in a private lot. The brewery itself was clean as were the restrooms. Bar seating and some tables. The service was great all around. The beer was good with a few selections on. This place also has a limited but delicious menu. That's where this place shines. I had a BLT and chips with an order of wings. The wings were absolutely amazing with the sweet spicy sauce. They were a good size and cooked perfectly. The BLT had plenty of bacon and a nice slab of fresh tomato, grilled just right. Now for the real kicker. Home made ranch sauce was out of this world. Hands down the best ranch I've had. I almost ordered a growler of ranch to go!! Their other sauce, a garlic Gorgonzola was also great. My friend got the club sandwich. It was loaded with meat and cheese. Just check the pics! Wow. If you come here do not miss the sauces. They are a reason to visit by themselves. Our service was great, especially since she was also bar tending. I had the fruity pebble type of IPA, a good beer for sure. The industrial atmosphere is neat. Food wasn't anything I'd rave about, but not terrible at all. I think for a newer establishment it's cozy, I would want to see it a bit more lively I guess. Most breweries seem a bit more alive where it was really quiet in here and people just watching the TV's. Maybe add some giant board games, or ladder ball something to get the people more interactive and wanting to stay longer. read more

Service was lackluster considering how there was virtually no one there. I went to the restroom and when I returned there was this guy sitting right next to my empty chair. I could hardly get back into my seat and thought it was strange that this guy would have moved from the far end of the bar and sandwiched himself in between me and the bartender who apparently was just getting off and was eating her meal as he was telling a story about his wife and kids being in Pinehurst at some function. Hmmmmm......... I tried a couple of their IPA's and thought they tasted watery. So I opted for a water instead. I've never opted for a water at any brewery ever before.
