I'll be returning in 3 weeks for another pedicure and a gel manicure. $32 bucks was my total for a classic pedicure with callous remover. The class pedicure included the basics, with a 8 minutes moisturizing massage (delightful). The next option was the Deluxe pedicure I believe, which was a classic and a 10 minute hot stone massage instead of the lotion, callous remover not included. To be honest, I would not recommend this place based purely on product and customer service. I was gifted a GC for a gel mani and regular pedi. I'd never been to this location, but was interested bc it's in my fav shopping center close to AJs. I walked in and was immediately seated, it's a pretty tight space and there's no social distancing. Not everyone was wearing a mask, including the nail techs. The water was smoldering hot, and I had to ask the woman a few times to make it cool. Then she started on my pedi, she was a bit rough and cut me a few times with the cuticle remover tool. She didn't file or shape my toes the way I asked and they weren't even at all. At first, the color looked great. But as it dried it separated as if it was mixed with water. Then we moved onto our gel manis. They also rushed through that process and was pressing so hard. It was painful. I asked the gentleman at least twice to be more gentle. Once they finished we couldn't wait to get out of there. Not even 2 days later our nails were chipping and the color on my toes just got progressively worse. We both vowed to never go back. read more

I had been coming here for several years, not consistent but once a month or two. I had gotten dip at the suggestion of one of their techs and it hurt my nails so much to try to take it off. I hadn't been back much after that, maybe 2-3 times, and was trying to ask for a natural manicure that didn't use the drill and was based on the tech's abilities because I didn't want to hurt my nails again. I agree with some other reviews that there has been a definite disconnect so I went somewhere else for a few months in Tempe. I decided to come back because it's so close and convenient to my house. I told one of their male techs again what I wanted, explaining that I don't spoil myself much and that this was basically it for me. Tina really pampered me and made sure I was comfortable. Tiger answered all of my questions and made sure that I knew the difference between different polish types so I could get longer lasting nails without ruining my base. I'm excited to come back in a couple of weeks for upkeep. One of the reasons I give it 4 stars because they don't enforce their patrons wearing masks, even though there's a big sign in their window and I feel it's super disrespectful to their other customers and to their hardworking staff. Not only was the conversational good, but her work is incredible. She used the proper technique to take my gel pedicure off and trimmed my toenails evenly. I have been coming here for a couple months now and while the nails last forever this is my second time now with overaggressive trimming...the first time my toenail got infected and had to have pus drained out and this photo was yesterday from my dip manicure. She gauged into my skin and it kept gushing blood...she kept trying to spray it with alcohol and even tried glue on it but it was bleeding a lot. She continued on with the dip mani, meaning a nail with an open wound was in a powder pot shared by who knows how many people. This cannot be sanitary. Still charged me the full amount and expected a tip and a day later it still hurts a LOT. Sure it will happen, sometimes you're accidentally going to bleed but the sanitation aspect of this experience is what's going to keep me from going back in! read more

Im sitting here writing this review as I'm filing my own nails down. I went to Kenzie's to get my nails for Christmas on 12/22 as a first time customer. The gentleman who did my nails was nice enough, but drew a red flag when he didn't know what Rose Gold was. After trying to explain it several times, I settled for acrylic nails with tip and a yellow-gold french tip. Not what I had in mind at all, but pretty enough. On 12/23 my right thumb nail cracked off in the morning. I glued it back on, no harm no foul, but on 12/24, two more nails cracked off. I was away for Christmas break so didnt get a chance to meet the 7 day window for a fix. I'd heard (and read!) really good things about this place, so i'm disappointed I paid $65 plus tip for a botched job but will hopefully try my luck one more time with a pedicure next time. read more

Went in yesterday after calling and being able to come in immediately. I was sat with Jasmine who's precision was on point as I got black tip gel coffin acrylics. I could tell though in some points she did get lazy. A piece of nail was hanging off that she clipped and tried to paint back on and same with a piece of hair I pointed out she just painted over. At my dinner last night I saw one nail was lifting gel wise so I call again this morning and asked to get a little touch up, was also told to come in immediately. This is where the 5 stars comes in. Tiger assisted me today and when I asked to just touch up two nails he proceeded to start fresh on those and also added more to the black tip layers to all my fingers. Update: The owner reached out to me immediately after I posted my review and asked me to come in so they could fix my manicure. Tiger did a great job and made an effort to make it right. I will definitely return to get a mani or pedi from Tiger again and appreciate the effort to fix things. Previous review: I used to go here when it was Ken's and had good experiences. I needed the SNS from a previous manicure from a different salon removed and wanted a regular manicure too and my husband joined me for a pedicure. My manicure was super rushed and turned out lumpy (I believe that all of the SNS was not removed) and my nails were filed unevenly and were jagged. I had wanted to add on a paraffin wax to my manicure as my skin was pretty dry and wasn't even given the option as my nails were immediately painted after my "partial" SNS removal. My husband's pedicure with the callous remover was not done as well as previous pedicures and he said that there was still a fair amount dead skin left. This is the sloppiest manicure I've ever received, I will drive the extra mile next time and go to Ken's on Indian School. read more

This salon has been a go-to of mine for a while because they take their appointments seriously. If you call and they say they have time, they have time and they make you a priority. On the same note, expect to be turned down if not but I honestly, highly prefer that transparency in the service industry. I've been going to Kenzie's since it open and I usually see the same technician - who is wonderful! She was booked this past Saturday and I had to see someone else. This person kept pushing for a gel manicure, which I don't like, and was pretty much done with both my mani and pedi in 45 minutes. My manicure only lasted a day. Extremely clean and everyone is so friendly. They have a huge selection of different colors and different brands. They just incorporated a rewards system, which I greatly appreciate. This place is a little on the higher end (not by much) BUT they give a manicure with the SNS & not a lot of salons do that, unless requested. I really wanted to like this place because it is close to my home and came recommended however not a great experience. I had an appointment for 4pm Mani Dip/ Pedi. Didn't even get started on my nails until 4:40. Nail tech was rushed, dip is very uneven and was never given any cuticle oils or lotion for hands. She never really finished so I ended up washing my own hands when done with my pedicure. I've been here several times before and had great service. This time was different. My mom and I made appointments for pedicures and SNS manicures. They started my moms pedicure immediately. After sitting with my feet in the water for 20-30 minutes, they were going to start service on a walk in that came in just then. I asked about my service, they shuffled and hesitated, and then thankfully started my pedicure. Guess they forgot about me and that I had an appointment. My mom and I weirdly finished our pedicures at the same time, even though mine was started 30 minutes after her. Then they took her for her SNS manicure. Again I waited in the pedicure chair for another 15-20 minutes before someone even started to remove my existing SNS. Thennnnnn...I sat there with the removing solution and foil on my fingers for another 30 minutes, as I saw 2 additional walk ins get treatments before me. I really got discouraged with another walk in came in, asked to have a pedicure and manicure at the same time, and they started treatment for her immediately.
