I know this location only opened like 1-2 months ago…read more This is only a comparison to the one in the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. The selection is a lot bigger. The books in the front are more with pop culture and famous books that maybe considered for the "coffee table" books. Also in the front , are the stationary items, cute Knick-knacks and some blind boxes. The Japanese light novels & manga section was larger vs the Arcadia location. Plus there was surplus amount of certain mangas that are currently popular to ensure enough is in stock. In general, I find these books very decently priced. I have , in the past, asked them for a particular book if they have in stock, they'll check to see if they have it or not or will direct me to where it is in the store.

They always have a ton of pens imported from Japan and they even have the little sticker tag on the pen itself in Japanese. Huge fan of the Uniball Zento Pens as I draw from time to time. I know it's great to support local stores, but I do wish they were a bit more competitive with pricing, if a book is only 10% more expensive here and I'm in the area, sure I'll buy it at Kinokuniya, but when the same exact book brand new is 40% cheaper on Amazon, I can't justify the purchase. It would be cool if membership allowed for price matching. Overall, this is probably the best Japanese book/manga shop you can find aside from the Book Off in Gardena.

I normally place them on my fridge or magnetic white board. It's a charming gift shop with lots of knick knacks that a good gift shop should have. This is a good place to peruse around! Tons of merchandise for sale such as tea cups, mugs, children books and toys, gardening supplies, kitchen attire, clothing and accessories, head attire and jewelry, and so much more. It's a very clean and organized shop. I can spend the whole afternoon or even the whole day here. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Thank you! I did pick up some souvenirs during my last visit. And yes, one of them was a magnet LOL. I'll have to drop by again to see what new items they may have to enlighten my future visits. I have photos someplace. When I find them, I will post them. You know I will. Until then, drop on by this quaint gift shop and be immersed in its charm.

This cue little boutique specializes in gourmet food and gift items that you typically don't see everywhere else. I came here last Friday for a special shopping event to support Pasadena Humane. The owner Maddie Romo graciously donated 10% of the evenings sales to PH. We were treated to wine while we shopped and nibbles of some of the store's specialty gourmet products. This place is adorable! They carry a wide assortment of goods - clothing, soaps, books, jewelry, cooking supplies, kitchenware, barware, trinkets.... There is something for everyone here. While browsing through all their wonderful selections I was thrilled when I came across Southern Belle Jalapeño Cranberry Sauce & Jumpin' Jack BBQ Sauce. My friend makes them, so I had to take a picture to send to her. There were so many cute things in the store that I wanted for myself. It was hard for me to maintain self-control and just stick to my holiday shopping list. Maddie was so delightful as was the other gal that worked there. They were both friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Next time I need a unique gift or want to treat myself to something fun I'll be coming here. Tip: There are a number of cool shops and restaurants in the area so make a day out of it and explore. There is free street parking and in a lot behind the shops.

Overall, I enjoyed visiting this store. I recommend you visit.
