Friendly staff. I keep coming back! I have had someone different each time but everyone has done a great job. Today Nicole did my pedi. She gave special attention to the areas that needed it. She also gave the most amazing massage. It was so relaxing, wasn't in a hurry and wasn't to hard, it was just right and I loved it!

I had a nail emergency and called this nearby place to help me out. I called and how much for a fill and they quoted me $40. Reasonable! I had to bike up here because my car is broken so I "parked" at the next door 24 hour fitness. They did have to move my appointment time out but had texted me to let me know. I was okay with it and was glad they texted me so I didn't have to wait there. The gentleman doing my nails was great- I wasn't in the mood for talking and just wanted to relax. I brought my own coffee to my appointment. He showed me the extra work he had to do to fix my nails and the price was an extra $5 but he said next time it would be less. My nails came out so beautiful- I will return. read more

Basic Manicure and pedicure- manicure didn't last even 3 day. Polish chipped pretty quickly even if wore gloves for dishes and took care of the nails. Poor finishing on nails too which didn't notice at the time. Pedicure polish chipped at well within 7 days . I know basic manicure does not last very long but pedicure always last quite a bit and this time didn't. Perhaps is polish quality but in all, pretty bad job .. feel I wasted $60. Ladies nice and welcoming though. read more

I asked for the basic pedicure -$35. They said they can only do gel +$10. I was charged $60 when she was done. Mia did things to my toenails that I didn't ask for and certainly would not have agreed to if I knew the price! And when she was done I couldn't even see the chrome that she charged me for because she put some ugly powder over it without asking me and charged me for that too! She started with the powder and before I could ask she said, "I do the milky." Also, she talked me into putting tips on my pinky toenails-they came off the next day! This was a week ago and I am still so upset about her taking advantage of me! I must look like a fool. And, she cut my skin and made me bleed! So I overpaid, got hurt and an ugly pedicure! I will NEVER go back there again! read more

Today, I had my first mani pedi at this location. Everyone was very nice and they did a wonderful job. I had them put regular lacquer on my toes and dipping powder on my hands - same pink color. The colors did not totally match since the pigments are naturally going to be slightly different. They kindly offered to modify the lacquer color in order to tone it down, but I said we can just explore that option on my next visit. As for the dipping powder, usually I have to tell the nail techs to file down the dip because most salons put it on too thick. It's like having a piece of bubble gum on your fingers. But this came out so beautifully and I did not need to say anything about modifications. I'm very happy with the service and will be back. read more

I visited this nail shop twice within the last 6 weeks. My first appointment was for a fill and pedicure. The second was for a fill. After the first visit, two of my nails lifted and came off a little over a week after the visit. The second visit resulted in 3 of my nails lifting and coming off in less than a week. After visiting another shop to have the remaining nails removed and a new set put on, I discovered that I had a fungus under two of the nails. Please beware of this shop. To my understanding, this is a new owner who is working to build clientele. I am hopeful that they review their practices and make changes to better serve clients. read more

Sophia's Thai Bar used to be one of the main stops in a Davis pub crawl. The restaurant "kitchen" is in the back and I'm pretty sure they'll bring it up front for you if you ask nicely. The Dumpling House has chosen to not advertise on the directory and you can pretty much see why. It is just behind the list of businesses. Maybe Sophia's will get back to the craze that was part of the Downtown Davis bar scene. Maybe it has already. Wouldn't know as I'm usually in bed by the time the youngsters dress up and go out...if they do these days. TL;DR just another group of businesses, no parking lot this time. Woo hoo!???
