Boarded my dog while on vacation. Facilities are clean and personnel are knowledgeable and professional.

Our dog is 8 years old and has only stayed with family when we travelled in the past. Circumstances have changed and we needed a place that felt like home for our anxious rescue, Chloe. Camelot Pet Resort is under new ownership and we had a great experience. I highly recommend them if you are looking to board your dog they are the absolute best. I love all the spacious options, which offer different levels of privacy, all at reasonable price points. Kaitlyn, Lawrence, and Andrew are amazing owners and caregivers. I boarded two 35 pound dogs (poodles) from 22 DEC until 27 DEC 2021 Owner is very knowledgeable about dogs. Facilities included a dog run, a room for our two dogs, and a yard to play in periodically. I have boarded my dog several times here. She loves coming here! They have large spaces and activities for all size dogs and take excellent care of her. The owner is very experienced and knowledgeable about different breeds of dogs, their health vulnerabilities, medications, etc. There is a fenced area for my greyhound to run to her heart's content and even take a dip in the pond! Quirky indeed but A-Ok! We've had our dogs stay here 3 times so far & will continue to do so in the future. For top of the line service it cost us $65 a day for both our dogs. Our poodle requires eye drops twice a day which they didn't charge us extra for ($15 a day on their website) which was appreciated. The grounds are beautiful & Camelot is fenced in which is a plus. I can't vouch for how our dogs were treated, only they know. They only accept cash or check & they have short drop off & pick up hours. read more

My husband and I needed to board our dog for the night to attend an event. We were looking for a place that was close by. On the website for Camelot pet resort they state that the overnight price is 22 dollars. When we picked up our dog the next day we recieved a bill for 50 dollars. It appears that there is a check out time between 8 and Noon which they conveinently didnt mention, then to add insult to injury they charged an extra 6 dollars for playtime, which most places dont charge for. We had very high hopes that this place would be good as its right near our house, however after our experience we wont be using this place again, nor would we reccomend to others. Another odd thing was that the lady that checked our dog in kept pressuring us to tell them where we originally go,. When we told her we didnt remember the name of it, she kept asking"are you sure you dont rememer the name of the place. This place needs to be more concenrned about there own business let alone someone elses. read more

My husband and I booked the Penthouse for our 4 small dogs. One of our dogs is paralyzed from the mid-back down and needs to have his bladder expressed, he cannot pee on his own. My husband spoke to Sue and she said that they had experience expressing dog bladders. When we picked up our dogs we were told our dog's bladder was expressed about 3 hours earlier. We were taught by a vet how to express our dogs bladder and we've been doing it for 2 years now; there is no way someone experienced expressed him at 1:30p because his bladder was extremely full at 4:30p. Aside from my concern that he was not expressed properly the 2 1/2 days we were gone, he has oozing rug burn sores on his underside from them putting him in the AstroTurf lined pen with the other dogs. I'm not sure why a vet tech would put a paralyzed dog that drags himself around most of the time, on astroturf. When our dog first became paralyzed our vet warned us about letting him drag himself on carpet, they should have known better. Also, dogs pee and poop on that astroturf. They clean up after the dogs, but I'm sure it's full of bacteria. Our dog will now have to go to the vet tomorrow to get checked out to make sure the sores are not infected. This is the first time we left him with someone other than my mother in law, who is a nurse and can express his bladder. Unfortunately, not all places are pet friendly so this weekend it was impossible for us to take him with us and my mother in law lives 9 hours away. Guess we'll keep looking. I think the accommodations in the penthouse were nice and the staff was nice enough. I would consider leaving my dogs that do not have special needs there but I would be leery of leaving a dog with special needs there. I will never leave my miniature Dachshund there again. **just got back from the vet, he had to be treated w/a topical powder and an oral antibiotic for what my vet described as a "really bad open wound." Camelot was misleading, at best, on the care they could offer our special needs dachshund. read more

Slightly quirky folks, but took GREAT care of me doggy!

I was searching for dog boarding for my two dogs - on an emergency basis - family was hospitalized. What was great about this staff, they walked me through the process, and assured me they could no only board my two dogs on a long term basis, but also deal with my dogs medication. Upon arrival, they staff was friendly, accommodating - and immediately I was assured that my dogs were in good hands. read more

Beautiful Clean Grounds. They know dogs. They know how to care for all types of personalitlies and care needs. Myself and my cousins have been using them for a few years now and we have a vast assortment of breeds and personalities. No complaints from any of us. All of their pricing and such has always been made clear to us, I recall finding it on thier website and on the paperwork at the office when you drop off. I have been OTHER places and my dog has either been returned smelly or scared. Even after "grooming". At Camelot she returns just as I dropped her and even gets excited when we arrive! I have been bringing my two dogs to Camelot for a couple of years now. One of my dogs was a rescue and we had not had success anywhere else because he was so nervous. Charles is great with the dogs...they actually get excited when we pull into the property. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I am quite particular when it comes to my dogs. read more

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG AT CAMELOT RESORT! We boarded our dog for only 24 hours and he was borderline abused. The owners refused to give us a tour of our dog's accommodations when we dropped him off and that should have been our first red flag. When we went to pick him up, his paws were BLEEDING from being clipped too short and he was constantly GAGGING and being CHOKED from the collar used to bring him from his "deluxe suite" despite the fact that he was walking right next to the handler. He was dying of thirst and drank two full bowls of water before stopping as soon as we got home. Furthermore, the owners and manager are completely overwhelmed with the number of dogs they are breeding and handling. Your pet will get no direct attention nor will they be treated with a shred of respect. The owners of this establishment are unkind, disrespectful, and lie about the quality of care they give each dog. The owners lied about the price of boarding our dog and schemed every possible dollar out of us for the absolute minimum amount of care possible. Our dog is incredibly easy going and has the calmest natural demeanor, and we have never seen him act so scared and excited to leave any boarding site before. USING CAMELOT RESORT WAS AN INCREDIBLE MISTAKE AND IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG, NEVER PUT THEM THROUGH THIS HORROR OF AN ESTABLISHMENT. read more

Worst dog resort ever. Very shady place when I arrived. I was in this 10x10 office area and was not allowed to see where my dog was going. My less than 1-year-old came home with post traumatic stress syndrome. I had to take him to the vet the day after I picked him up because he would barely move, never mind eat. I own a beautiful blue nose pit bull who was 10 months old at the time.. When I booked the reservation I explained that he didn't do to well with other dogs, I did not want him to participate with play time. When I picked him up I asked if he was ok and if he was alright with the other dogs. His response was -- I can't mix pit bulls in with the rest of my dogs, I will lose my business. He was lucky it was me that picked him up and not my husband, because I think my husband would have lost it. I didn't flip out because my son was with me and the place is in the boonies. When my dog walked out to me he was completely slouched over and slept for a full 24 hours. It took him almost 2 weeks to be his usual loving self. Would not recommend this to anyone who loves their dog and will never go back again! read more
