Tried this place out New Year's morning to cure the morning hangover. The restaurant is in a large parking lot next to Green Meadows. Three of us walked in and noticed that they also have a bar, but didn't check it out. We were seated immediately, the place was pretty busy. The decor is pretty weird. A white piano in the middle of the room? Random knick knacks everywhere. There definitely didn't seem to be a theme here... maybe old retirement community them?! Anyway, the menu is pretty elaborate which made it difficult to choose. Pancakes, bulgoki, hamburgers, kim chee beef soup, spaghetti, etc. Perfect random options for a hangover! I asked for suggestions from the waitress and decided to go with her recommendation of the Eggs Jerusalem (poached eggs on english muffin topped with gravy with artichoke, mushroom and olives. It was surprisingly very good, great flavors! It came with their house toast, which tasted like a multigrain and slightly sweet, also very good. We also ordered the waffle to share, which was disappointing. I like my waffle crispy on the outside and this was soft all the way through. I decided to take it "to go" so I could put it in the oven to make it crispy! Which did work by the way. My husband decided to try the bulgoki. He liked it, I thought it was subpar. Our friend had the burger which looked really good but didn't try it. Sounds like the pancakes are supposed to be pretty popular, so we'll try those next time. Overall a decent experience. A little on the pricey side, but worth the variety of menu items when your hungover! =) read more

This review is mainly for the bar side. We stopped going in there a few years back. Service was horrible and seemed to be over ran by regulars that acted like they own the place. We decided to try it again about a year ago, started to see some changes and seemed to feel more and more comfortable! We love this bar now. So much more clean, no more smell and above all pretty good service. Still very understaffed but ive never seen a bartender like shane, who is now rightfully so the manager, he has great control of the bar and can quickly scan and serve the intire bar. He also has a great staff working with him now. The happy hour menu is great and served all week, no place in town can you get a burger and fries for 4.95.. we also noticed bands on every thursday and saturday nights!! The decorations are still alittle weird but its pretty close to looking like a "real" bar. Keep up the great work shane and crew, you are doing a great job. One of my favorite places. Good food, decent service. I love their Huge pancakes! I love their breakfast, I'm only judging by that. Reason why I'm only giving them a 4 Star Rating is because I still haven't eaten there for Lunch or Dinner, And I had a situation where my Steak was not cooked correctly, cold in the middle(Yikes! I had to walk into this place with a spacesuit because the prices were so astronomical. If the prices were halved, I would have found my new favorite spot!!! Or perhaps If the quality of food was dramatically increased, they may just have something. Don't get me wrong, I love a good dive spot....more so than the average bear...but there needs to be a balance, and this place surely hasn't found it yet. My lovely lady and I are walking in, and on our left is an outside tent eating area that looked like it had been fabricated in someone's backyard while on a serious budget (winning)....you enter the actual restaurant through a sliding door (splattered with abstract stickers and pictures from assumed distant cousins)....you are now in what appears to be your grandma's house while she's having a tea-party? The place is stuffed to the max with randomness and clutter that is less overbearing and more just aesthetically vomiting. The menu items read like a standard cafe with upscale prices. The food was decent. My girlfriend liked her waffle (it was actually pretty good when I snuck a bite), but my corn beef and hash was that of McDonalds caliber. The one saving grace to this place is their STRONG BREAD. I would have bought several loafs of this stuff if they actually sold them. From what I loosely gathered from an employee, it's the owners own recipe that is made at a local bakery specifically for their cafe... I'd go back for their bread alone....will I go back? Not likely.....maybe if I won the lotto and wanted to take my friends to an eclectic hipster bread spot with the potential to be a filming location for some B-rated horror movie. Our family loves to go out to breakfast so we're always on the lookout for new places. We found this one on Yelp and decided to try it out. First of all the atmosphere is fun and funky. The outdoor area would be lovely in good weather with attractive foliage and views of the golf course. Secondly, and most importantly the food was quite good and they had excellent variety on the menu with all the traditional items along with some more out of the ordinary choices (such as Chipotle crab eggs benedict). Definitely the best breakfast we've had in Vancouver so far. Also the service was very quick which is a HUGE plus with kiddos! We'll certainly be back. We haven't found better this side of the Columbia River. read more

Was so disappointed in the Live Strong soup or whatever it's called. Described as a packed bowl with veggies and noodles. It came out with frozen square veggies with ramen noodles and a weak chicken broth. It was awful and I was very disappointed. It wasn't cheap either, like $10. I've liked other things before but I guess I'll stick to traditional fare, like the pancakes, in the future. read more

Cameo is right next to my church, so my family and I go here quite often. The food is pretty good, especially the breakfast menu. The pancakes are GINORMOUS and the bacon is thick-cut and delicious. I haven't been too impressed with their dinner selection though. But the Long Life Soup is amazing! The staff is also very kind and helpful. The bar is a great place to watch football! My new go-to place for breakfast in Clark County. You would think that simple fried eggs, bacon & sausage patties would be hard to differentiate from one place to another. Wrong! There is a very special quality to their fried eggs & their bacon is the best I've found. Their sausage patties are the best. On an extremely busy Sunday early afternoon, our party of 4 received extremely prompt & good, friendly service. Will be making a 30 mile round-trip anytime I crave a better than ordinary breakfast (even a late breakfast which I often prefer). read more

This place was dirty, dirty, dirty. The carpet, the tables, the chairs. The bathroom smelled very strong of a combination of pine sole and nasty bathroom smell; like they were trying to cover up the nasty smell. The men's bathroom door was open and all the food was carried through that nasty dirty hallway right past the men's open bathroom door. The food was awful; the chicken strips tasted like old grease and it left a coating in your mouth. The service in the bar was terrible. In fact, my friend I didn't even get served until my husband showed up. When I went to the bar to pay my bill (because we couldn't get the attention of the waitress even though she passed our table several times) I was not acknowledged. A man walked up to the bar and was immediately helped. Until I said "can I pay my bill" and flashed my card did I get someone to acknowledge me. This is one of my favorite places to take friends from out of town. Their burgers are just fantastic and the only meal I haven't liked much was the crab benedict--it was just weird having cold crab & avocado with hot eggs & sauce. I have tried nearly everything else on the menu and keep coming back. There is one waitress there who is NOT a good representative of the usual service--she served me old coffee over ice when I ordered iced tea then essentially & snappishly told me I didn't know what I was talking about when I told her it was awful. She came back a little later to tell me that I was right after all, and she brought me real iced tea. Wouldn't want her for a regular waitress but fortunately she's not usually there when I am. The bar is a little understaffed at times but the happy hour food prices are well worth the wait, AND they serve those luscious burgers at happy hour too! read more

This review is NOT for the restaurant side of the Cameo but for the bar side, and one bartender in particular. I am a fairly regular patron as I live very close and occasionally golf at Green Meadows. I don't ask much of the bars I frequent; only that I get the drink I order in a timely fashion and not feel like I am putting out the staff by requesting anything. The female bartender at the Cameo barely meets those requirements, but Shane goes above and beyond! (It says a lot that I have no idea what her name is as much as she's waited on me - Shane makes SURE you know his name and that he is there to get you whatever you need.) No matter how busy it gets some nights, he greets everyone as soon as they walk in the door. Even if he can't get to you right that instant, you at least know that he sees you and will get to you as soon as possible. And let's talk about the cocktails that man can make. Tell him which flavors/liquors you like and he will make you something amazing! Once you have your favorite he will never forget it. I've seen huge groups of people come in and he doesn't even have to ask what each would like. He is attentive without being annoying. He knows how to make every drink I've ever heard of but isn't afraid to ask how you would like it. I appreciate that he takes away my empty glass before placing a new one in front of me (something small but goes a long way in keeping the bar clean.) He has a great attitude and doesn't feel the need to air his problems to his customers. Another thing I appreciate is his knowledge of dealing with people and cutting them off without conflict.
