It is rare in a beach town to walk into a shop and not be inundated by shell necklaces, beach cover-ups and the ever popular "My parents went to Manhattan Beach and all I got was this Lousy Tee-Shirt." Cami is amazing. I'm a former New Yorker who worked in the fashion industry. I was always on the hunt for small boutiques that understood the trends but took things a step further to showcase young, up-and-coming and incredibly talented designers - clothing, denim, bags, jewelry...who make the industry cool, sexy and fun. Cami does just this. The prices are not for the faint-of-heart but the items are luxurious, lovely and unique. I walked in to the store for the first time with a bag from a rather obscure designer. Not only did the store owner comment on it, she pointed across the store to several other bags from the same designer in her store. Cami also carries one of my favorite jewelry designers of all time - any place that showcases Alexis Bittar is a friend of mine. This is the place to buy yourself or someone you care about something special - a gorgeous piece of jewelery, a great new bag for the season, that staple cashmere wrap. It was sold out on the Hammitt website, but she verified they had it in stock before I ordered online. It had not been on the sales floor, so was in new, pristine condition. I came across this little gem of a store about a week or so ago. To be honest, Manhattan Beach is not an area I frequent (too many white people), but there's this great shop with these fabulous, inexpensive, hand-knit blankets that make great gifts. But I digress... My husband and I stumbled upon Cami - both the store and the owner who share the same name. What makes this store is the owner. That's not to say the merchandise isn't great - it is. But Cami's easy-going nature coupled with her wonderful sense of style and ability to hone in on what the client needs made for an amazing shopping experience. It was kind of like having a personal stylist. Cami is honest and not a 'sales' person - she is simply passionate about what she does. Which for me, is everything. I walked away with jeans, tops, sweaters, a pair boots and jewelry - and I swear to you I'm not much of a shopper. All of the things I purchased are unique, comfortable and easy to wear AND I have received compliments on every single item I took home (which is never a bad thing). Since my first visit I've gone back again - this time on my husband's suggestion. I highly recommend this sweet shop. In this time of limited discretionary funds, it feels really good to support a local, woman-owned business that has beautiful things designed to make you smile every time you wear them. This store is way cute. Happened upon it when I was walking along Highlander after lunch. The girl there was really nice and because it's the sidewalk sale weekend in Manhattan Beach, some pieces were on sale. Kind of on the pricey side, but I like that they only have a few of each design, and everything was pretty unique. They have accessories, purses, jeans, tops, dresses...all pretty cute stuff that's more dressy casual. read more

I've shopped at Cami for years, since I moved to the area, and always enjoyed the styles and experience that the stores have to offer. The other day I was looking for a particular style of Hammit wallet, and somehow accidentally wound up with Cami's cell phone number instead of the store line! She was so kind and beyond helpful, texting me photos of the styles they had available. I went to buy one of them from the Redondo location and really enjoyed talking with Cami while I was there. I was so excited to find the Mother jeans I had been searching everywhere for on sale in my size @ Cami! I knew the jeans would work because I had already bought the jeans in one size larger but lost weight and wanted one size smaller. They came express delivery & I was ecstatic! I tried them on and oddly enough they did not fit smaller than the ones I had... They actually fit about the same if not a little bit bigger in the legs. I go on about my time and I just had in the back of my mind I really do not need to keep two pair of the exact same jeans @ $190... now mind you about a week went. Y because we had been on vacation....So... I decided to call the store and ask about returning them... Not even thinking it was an option but I spoke to Kelly & she told me it was fine as long as I understood I had to mail them back at my expense and I would get a credit... I said a credit? She said I mean a credit on your original form of payment. So I go the very next day & mail them express delivery so I can have a tracking number and $26 later I wait for my refund. Now let me say now.... Kelly & I spoke about the return policy & I WAS outside the policy date by just a few days! BUT she said it was fine! GO ahead & mail them back! As long as tags are attached we can take them back! I get an email yesterday saying that my package and my return was NOT approved and that the package had been refused !!!! I called the store Cami (store owner???) she says that she needs to look into it that she has four employees she was rude to me from the get-go like I had done something wrong she never took into consideration that maybe her employee had made a mistake and from where I come from the customer is always right BY THE WAY! She said she needed to look into it .... so I waited and she called me back again VERY rude and tells me that there is a store policy and keeps repeating herself and I understand there's a store policy but I was told something ELSE!!!!! she says that Kelly remembers the conversation but she remembers the conversation being about the store policy .... Hmmmm I do believe Kelly is intimidated by her boss! well after reading all these reviews on yelp I CAN understand poor Kelly is terrified to lose her job I feel sorry for her. I even left an honest review on Google only to find it has been removed. I am telling the honest truth. I have zero reason to lie. I could've just sold the jeans and kept my $26 this is the worst experience I've ever had in my adult 45 years of life. I've never ever EVER left a review well maybe one on Zappos or something but we own our own business & I do not write this review to be MEAN only to TELL the honest truth! I want to start by saying, I love everything I purchased here-and the sales gal who helped me was kind & helpful. I purchased a few items, but decided to wait on purchasing a dress I admired due to the price tag and whether it would be appropriate for a dinner I will be attending. She put it on hold, offered me a discount if I wanted it, so I returned the next day to try it on again. When I walked in the same sales gal welcomed me. There was another person, now I'm assuming it was the owner, behind the desk on her phone. I went into the dressing room to try on the dress and came out-and who I think is the owner, I asked her opinion. (This is why I decided to write this review -) I told her about the dinner I will be attending and she responded with, "well, I don't know what other people will be wearing so I can't really say" I explained that was the trouble I was having on purchasing the dress- would it be appropriate for the dinner!! She didn't offer any other options for me to try as a back up. She didn't say, "what about trying this on as a different option." I felt stuck, and she didn't help me feel unstuck! She seemed put out and put off by me. I'd return to shop here, but I now feel unimpressed. During COVID, and w/many local businesses not doing well...I would hope the owner of a small high end boutique would go above & beyond. I love the fact that this shop strives to carry a high percentage of locally crafted pieces that represent local designers. In addition, it is apparent that the buyer(s) focus on quality products. Some lines I found here are Linea Pelle handbags and belts,Chan Luu jewelry, and Whitley Designs jewelry amongst so many other brands. This is a great place to discover more and more local jewelry artists. This is where I first discovered WhitleyJewelry for example and love their work. The staff is always really friendly. I found a pair of DL1961 cut off shorts that I was looking for (between Santa Barbara and the South Bay for a while) and finally found them in this store. I've been here a couple times and the boutique has a great selection of accessories (jewelry, bags and shoes). Got my first Hammitt bag and LOVE IT. The only reason I give 3 stars instead of 5 is because the staff was incredibly unhelpful. So different from the first time I had visited a few weeks earlier. I asked her about a specific piece and she was quite aloof. It made us feel as though we were an impediment to her glorious afternoon. We were the only ones in the store and she was just sitting hunched over at the register. Trust me, I'm a fairly low-maintenance customer so it takes a bit to frustrate me and this did. Especially considering the staff was friendly before. Regardless of her poor attitude, we purchased a clutch and went on our way. I must say, we went with a purchase in mind but she nearly ruined my appetite for the purchase. I'll shop here again, as I'm a local but hopefully the staff will have a more consistent demeanor that should match the beautiful boutique and items in it. read more

This is the first time I am writing a review but I feel compelled to tell you that this owner is not a fair person. I bought a pair of Tory Burch flats during the sidewalk sale and they were 40% off...the sticker on the bottom of the shoe was $225 so I bought them and didn't catch the sales clerk's mistake when she rang them up for $250 because that is what the box said. The next day I had my friend double check the price because I was out of town and she confirmed they said $225. I called and talked to the sales clerk that helped me and explained it to her and she AGREED that if that is what the sticker said, she would honor that because it was their mistake. I told her I couldn't come back until after I returned from vacation and we even discussed specific dates of when she is working so that she could help me with the credit. I went back a couple weeks later and she was there but the owner happened to be there also and told me that she would not give me the credit but would take the shoes back if I didn't wear them. I had already worn them and I would have still bought them at the higher price but to me, it's the principle of the matter. She was very rude in explaining that a sticker could have easily been transferred to the shoe by mistake but if I had said something the day I purchased it, she would have seen that I was right in that the sticker clearly said $225. And the sales clerk is the one that told me to come back and she would give me the credit. I am very disappointed in how it was handled, especially for a local business. read more
