Stopped by the taco truck in front of Safeway on El Camino to pick up lunch. The woman working in the truck was so friendly. She recommended a burrito and tacos. The food was delicious and the portions were very big . I will definitely come back.

Tacos - carne asada and el pastor

Amazing tacos for a reasonable price! The truck was on the El Camino in front of Safeway. Red truck with some chairs in front. I had two tacos, carne asada (steak) and el pastor (marinated pork). If you order with everything it comes with seasoned onions, carrots on the side, and fresh onions and cilantro on the tacos. You can get green or red sauce on the side. Overall it's a great street taco. One of the best I've had in the area. Worth a try

Good. Priced a little higher than other taco trucks in the area, but they put a shit ton of meat so I'm not complaining. I tried the carnitas, pastor, and asada tacos. Of those, I think the pastor was best because it was most tender, although the carnitas and asada were also pretty good.

Found this little gem in San Mateo on my way to running errands during lunch. They are parked across Safeway on the street, but you shouldn't have trouble finding a red food truck ;) I got the pastor, lengua, and carnitas. Honestly, it was so good and for the price ($2!!!!), well worth driving there. My favorite was the carnitas as they fry it but not too dry. I suggest eating the tacos with the grilled onions they give you...it adds a little sweetness :)

2 pollo, 2 carnitas, 2 adobo tacos with everything

I was so happy I found this taco truck, as I had not found good classic tacos in San Mateo. I get the chicken, carnitas and adobo tacos every time and all are delicious. The little touches like a light fry on the corn tortilla to give it a slight crunch, and the grilled onions and marinated carrots really make the meal for me. However, if you don't like spicy food be careful - the salsa can be hot some days.

This is my go-to truck! The food is always quick and yummy. They are reliably open during my work lunch hour.

Tacos are very good. Got the chicken tacos and they were flavor packed. They are the few places which also have tamarind jaritos.

Ok, so I was very skeptical. I just picked up my kid from coding class. We were hungry and I…read moreremembered there was a Sinaloa style sushi place nearby when I walked by. I asked my kid if he was down to try something new and I said "Mexican sushi" at first he was like what is that? It sounds weird, but then I told him it's giant California rolls and other rolls and he said "ok I'm down." Well we went and were super happy we did so. This food was straight fire! It's not Japanese sushi. It's completely different. No wasabi. Lots of hot sauces and chiles. Instead of ginger you get crab salad, carrots, green onion, grilled onions and a grilled pepper. The guamuchilito was epic (crispy and super filling). The sushitun was super tasty and creamy with fresh fish. My favorite though was the ostion preparado with a cooked shrimp and shrimp ceviche. It was excellent. The restaurant is clean, well put together and has great service. I'd come back. Come back on Wednesdays for their 3 rolls and a drink for $35. Im definitely going to be there. Yes, the menu is in Spanish for now, but in the next couple weeks they'll have an English menu. Check this awesome place out!

Since the food was catered, unfortunately I was unable to see the robots cooking in action, but fortunately was able to taste the final products. I was able to try the Wagyu galbi (short ribs), dak galbi (marinated chicken), Seoul food bowl (stir-fried pork belly and shrimp), and japchae, served with their corn salad, kimchi, and white rice. The Wagyu galbi was very flavorful with a good amount of vegetables; though I enjoyed the inclusion of lotus root, the veggies seemed like borderline filler to skimp out on meat. The dak galbi was also flavorful though spicy, and again the inclusion of rice cakes seemed like filler. The pork belly and shrimp were delicious, and I liked that the pieces of pork belly I had didn't have an overpowering amount of fat. The japchae was pretty standard and was nice to balance out the meat. I enjoyed the corn salad because it added a creamy component to my meal. The kimchi got lost in the mixture of food in my bowl and the rice was cooked perfectly by the robot. Overall, I enjoyed the food prepared by OLHSO Truck. Unfortunately, since the food was catered and already prepared when I arrived, I cannot comment on the service or wait times provided by the staff. I would consider ordering food from the truck if I am craving Korean fusion type of food and am too lazy to dine in at a local Korean restaurant. If the food from the truck is a good representation of the restaurant in downtown San Mateo, I am more inclined to try the restaurant for a nice sit down dining experience.

One thing that is a bit annoying is that there is no way to schedule or get an estimate of your order until after you pay. After clicking the deliver now button, the final eta was actually closer to 70min, but then was actually delivered in 30min. Ordered the Wagyu Galbi, Dak Galbi, SEOUL food, and japchae. The wagyu galbi was nice and tender. The Seoul and dak galbi had similar flavor profiles with the latter being a bit spicier. Note, when you look at your order details, it WONT list any of the sides (e.g. Japchae), which is very confusing. However, it is listed on the final receipt.
