I called, Debbie answered and luckily for me she told me to come on over that day! Chatfields is located right off Hwy. 44 in Valley Park. The shop is clean and well-organized. Debbie started by asking me about myself ("Why do you want a modest dress?" etc.) to find out what I was looking for. I told her what I liked and she pulled dresses in that style for me to try on. She even asked if I wanted her assistance in the fitting room to respect my privacy. She is VERY professional and thoughtful. After trying on a few dresses I found the one! She only had the dress in a knee length version in two sample sizes--one that was too large and one that was too small--so I tried on both to get a good idea of how it would look. She put some beaded belts on me so I could see the finished look, which looked great. In the end she was able to order the knee length dress and just add 13" of lace to the bottom of the dress to make it floor length, which was perfect. The price was excellent (I believe all her dresses are under $1000?). We ordered the dress on the spot (half down at purchase, half at pick up) and she was very helpful about when it would arrive. Unfortunately, the selection was much smaller than we expected. What was even more frustrating was that the consultant did not seem to listen to what we were looking for. We specifically requested light blue dresses and no lace, yet she repeatedly brought navy, silver, several other colors and lace that we had already said we were not interested in. It felt like our preferences were being ignored entirely. The customer service was also lacking. While trying on dresses, she would simply toss the next dress into the fitting room while I was still changing. When I finally had a dress to on, she was unable to zip it- stating she broke her hand over a year ago and thankfully the family members who came with me were able to help. Because of the poor service and limited selection, we ended our appointment early and called another store, which thankfully was able to fit us in the same day. After driving two hours based on Mimi's advertising, the experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend Mimi's to anyone shopping for a Mother of the Bride dress. The selection did not match the advertising, and the customer service fell far below expectations

After my experience this was the only place my sister wanted to go and was so happy it was the only place she needed to go! Today, I went back a third time with my mom to find her a dress for my sister's wedding and once again we loved it! They have so many options to choose from for brides and moms! My mom has trouble finding dresses that flatter her and we were impressed with the different styles they had. Mimi herself was actually the one that helped us today and she is so friendly and her expertise does not go unnoticed. I highly recommend Mimi's for all bridal needs. You could browse through the selections quickly. The service was impeccable. The lady helping me was very friendly and tiredless-ly helped me get in and out of at least 8 dresses that I pulled out. Some things to note: they don't let you take photos. This is pretty common in boutiques, something to do with agreements with the designers. Personally, I find it hard to not have pictures to compare with other dresses that I've tried on, but this is nothing against the shop itself. The price point is mid-high range for wedding dress, starting at just below $1K to a few grand. After that day, I received two hand-written notes from the shop reminding me to stop by anytime if I haven't found anything. In the end, I found my dress elsewhere, but I do recommend Enchanted Bride for other ladies still shopping.

Not that big of a deal but when my stylist came out, she said no one told her I was there, which was irritating to hear after being early & then having to wait (while I was also on my own time schedule for other appointments). I had a $1500 budget and when looking I would ask about prices and get a "it's in budget" or "it's well under"... like okay please say the price out loud so I know? They just weren't as transparent about their prices as other places were, so I stopped asking after a couple. I went to a place right before this & when I'd ask, there was no hesitation, just the exact cost. I never got an answer for cost while I was at Maiden Voyage. Maybe this was because of my budget, but I also felt like they had a literal fraction of the dresses other places had. Afterwards, my now MIL said she had about the same experience many years prior looking for her dress, which I wish I would've known because I wouldn't have made an appointment at all. They pulled out styles they think may look good on me and also let me browse to find things on my own. I didn't find them pushy either. The show room is not big but they have exquisite collections. If you always wanted a Carolina Herrera or a Vera Wang, you definitely should stop by here. Check their websites for trunk show dates. They offer a small discount (I believe it was 15%) on dresses from that brand on the trunk show weekend. It's a size-able chunk of change when you are dropping upwards of $3K+ on a designer dress.

They also provide in-house alterations. The store is lovely, especially the show room. I'd highly recommend a trip to Berrybridge if you're shopping for your gown.
