Definitely a low key spot. Not the most well kept venue I was able to get a room for 4 on a Saturday night no problem. They offered microphone covers. The song list however was not very updated and most of the selection was korean. Also they don't really have a bar or kitchen, they sell vending machine type snacks at the front. This place uses the classic/common Korean system with a remote that may or may not have english translations on it (so bring a Korean with you for optimal results). The prices of rooms are reasonable ($40/hr ish for a small room) and nothing out of the ordinary. They bring you microphone covers for that little bit of assurance that you won't get any diseases from the people who used the microphones before. My friend and I came to sing our hearts out, and one of the microphones was malfunctioning due to weird music/echo balance and someone who looked like the manager heard from outside and came to check on us multiple times in that i-do-what-i-want-im-old manner (you know, sort of lovable because it's like your dad or your Asian friend's dad) to make sure the microphone was still working well! Had a fun time, and better than any Karaoke in downtown SF so I have no complaints. read more

Above average karaoke spot in Santa Clara, which caters to a bunch of Koreans. Let's sing some of our classic favorites or top hits K-pop songs from SNSD, 2PM or Taeyang! This cool spot opens late as 4AM. The owner and the Korean guy were very accommodating, gregarious, sociable, and demonstrative with the karaoke process and setup! The song selections were wonderful and updated, even the song from the movie Frozen, "Let It Go" is on there! Not many snack selections here. No hardcore ALCOHOL served here only weak beer, hot tea, and orange juice. I mean, it's a Korean karaoke and there aren't any soju served? HINT: sneak some hardcore liquor. ;) Have a lady stash a 750ml bottle in her purse with a chaser. I am not even quite sure if this is even allowed, but just be careful since there's a window in the room where people can see you sing. Just dim the lights low, take a ninja shot, and enjoy singing your soul out! At the end after paying, you will be granted with a free CD that was recorded during all the hours of your singing. $30/hr seems a bit steep for a karaoke but I think it's just average. Wow, I am a little surprised at the rating of this place only because I honestly have no idea what a "good" Karaoke place would be if this place was not it. Sure it's not fancy and it's got basic sound and sometimes is difficult to navigate and EVERYTHING is in Korean; but it has gotten me through some pretty fantastic times. Usually I end up here with Chinese Student Association from SCU on a friday night meet up of some sort or even sometimes with my friends (but I guess whenever you mix alcohol with karaoke, it's always a good time!). This place is pretty reasonably priced for the most part and you really can't sing for that long anyway. My only complaint is that I don't know if they actually offer water but if they do they don't make it too clear so I can never figure out where the water was even if I wanted to buy, and they need to get more English signs on their remotes because people cannot figure out what to do and always end up calling them into the rooms for help. And they could use a little sanitary. Just a little. read more

A comfy Korean-style karaoke place with a spacey, blacklight hallway and several rooms of varying sizes. We had a large "VIP Room #2" which was able to fit about 8 people, no problem, but I personally wouldn't want to fit more than 10 in there. The room decorations were a bit dated and kitschy (I know, it's karaoke) and the lights were dimmable - who doesn't love a disco ball? Some room features: two non-wireless microphones, mic covers, a couple of large song books, a table in the center, and comfy seating along the walls. There was even an awesome bongo that my friends would drunkenly pound. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, taking time to show me how the sound system worked. My group ordered drinks from him by going directly to the front desk which wasn't a big deal since we were just steps away. He delivered our drinks to the room but otherwise left us alone. The drink selection is limited to a handful of beers, water, and soda. There were snacks but we didn't purchase any. All refreshments were reasonably priced ($3-$4 a beer). I'd definitely recommend coming with a full buzz (Chili's is down the street!). A few people quietly brought in leftover food from down the street to eat in the room, and there was no fuss about it. I'm knocking one star off for the not-so-intuitive sound system. The remote we were given had no numbers or labels, so we really had to think about the buttons we were pushing (which is hard when you've had a couple of drinks!). The other pieces of equipment also didn't have labels so when we needed to adjust echo or feedback, we had to fumble a bit but luckily a friend happened to be a soundie. The system has to be set to one language so if you are a bilingual group who is burning to do English AND Chinese songs, you might have trouble here. Overall, it was a fun experience. They charge by the room, so I suggest you fill it with the maximum amount of people. The two of us did two hours for a total of $70, which is pretty pricey. Immediately upon entering, the guy at the front was gruff and seemed annoyed at the fact he even existed. He did not want to talk and spoke or answered using the shortest possible sentence or sound/noise/grunt if not silence. It was when we were in the room that he had to speak full sentences since we did not know how to use the system. He was a bit nicer towards the end of his explanation, though. He annoyed me with his attitude, but I quickly got over it. What ruined the experience was the karaoke system. I had never seen such a strange and terrible system. When you search for a song it shows up on the television screen and blocks almost everything. Very annoying when the other person is trying to sing and suddenly your typing and searching pops up over their song. As for the searching, we could only search by song title. Maybe there was a way to do it by artist name, but we were at the point where we did not want to bother the guy. So the better choice would be to flip through the binders while the other person was singing. Then, you can just type in the song number listed in the binder and press enter to add it to the queue without blocking the screen. However, they only alphabetize by song name and not by artist. Finding songs was difficult because sometimes I, and many others I know, remember the artist name, but do not remember the song title until we see it. Lastly, their Japanese songs were not up to date. We did spend over an hour singing Japanese songs, but were bummed out that many songs we were looking for were not available. I know this is a Korean karaoke place with a Korean karaoke system, so I didn't expect much on having more Japanese songs. This is an okay place to karaoke, and the system is alright once you get used to it. However, it is still frustrating to use as I am spoiled by seamless Japanese and Vietnamese karaoke systems. read more

i havent been here in awhile... but thought i'd review it anyways! i've been here a couple times, and i thought the pricing was really good. I remember it was around $25/hour. for a small room. It fits 5 people, more or less. I thought it was pretty cheap! But they might have changed the pricing since economy has been really bad lately. I like the blacklight that they have once you go in. It's pretty cool. I dont remember if the rooms inside have it though... They have a couple couches outside too. The have huge binders full of music -- ranging from the oldies to new songs. and they have a lot of korean vietnamese... etc songs!!!! hahaha. I think its funny that some of the videos they play for the songs arent even related to the song whatsoever... hahaha downside is that they dont serve alcohol, but its okay because when youre singing, the background music is loud enough so if you suck, no one will know LOL. OR you can just pregame... like high school days hahah. Remote is pretty easy to use and multiple mikes for people. Parking is really bad... or you can just park next door, whatever you prefer... I've been coming here since my junior year in high school, and my friends and I would always come here before we could hit up the bars and clubs. It gave us a place to go at night. Plus, we looooove to karaoke. We had tried out other karaoke places on this strip, but none really compared to this place. It had all the latest hits and our favorite songs in a timely manner, and the black light is super cool. The karaoke machine is fairly easy to use. You look up the song you want in the big black book that comes with whatever kind of songs you want (English, Korean, Vietnamese, ect), and each song comes with a five digit code. You enter the code, press "enter" once, then press "start" to get the whole thing running. While someone is singing their song, you can "book" your songs. Same process, you enter the code, then press "enter" once, and your code should show up next to "booking" on the screen. If you're tired of singing the song, you press "cancel" ONCE. Any more times, you'll cancel out any other songs you've added in. So in the past, we've had some minor issues like my friends and I not knowing how to properly use the machines, the machines just die out on us, or the machine just does deletes all of our "booked" songs out of nowhere. All of these issues are fixed whenever we ask for help once or twice. However my most recent time here was really bothersome. The machine kept deleting all of our booked songs. This happened at least seven times during our one hour here. As you can imagine, there was a lot of wasted time spent looking up songs when we thought we had already booked. If you complain, they're usually really nice and give you some free time. I wish they would fix their machines so we would not have to spend a lot of time asking and waiting for them to help us. Overall, I'll always have love for this place. I have so many fun memories here, and I love to karaoke! read more

The interior isn't new and up-to-date with the latest technology or furniture, but it's okay. Make sure you learn how to use every feature of the remote so that you can take full advantage of every minute of your stay... if not, you'll waste time looking through the book! If you're singing in different languages, make sure you know how to switch back and forth!! TIP: Come during happy hour to save money! Also, if you come here frequently, ask for a frequent visitor stamp card (which is one of their business cards with a stamp on the back). Not very many people know about this! This is my go-to karaoke spot. I love that they're open late, weekdays till 2AM, weekends till 4AM. The system is pretty good, better than other karaoke places on El Camino. They have pretty current English songs, but not so current Vietnamese songs. I wish they would update it since there are so many Vietnamese people from San Jose who make the drive to sing there. When you come in, one person from your group has to leave their ID. They offer you a free CD of your singing if you wish to be recorded. You can order food and alcohol which is delivered to your room. The prices for the room depends on how many people are in your group. The pricing is pretty standard for karaoke. read more

This was my first time going to an asian kareoke place. Upon arrival it was a dark looking hut... okay... walking in it was a bit warm and their selections of snacks and drinks are anything but grand. Their water is only $1 which isn't bad and beer is relatively priced as well. snacks..... don't come hungry it consists of planters peanuts and beef jerky at high rates. song selection isn't bad... i don't know if this is typical of asian places but some of the vids are like 90's laser disc copied vids and some of the recordings are like wait.. that's not quite how the song goes. FYI: there's also english song suggestions on the chinese ipad ish touch screen computer so more choices there if you don't like what's in the book. Pricing makes this place star worthy it's per room and hour and not by person which is great if you have a bunch of people to split the costs. The rooms are not all that sound proof. We could hear our neighbors shouting their lungs out and when you go out into the hall it's interesting to hear the compilation of languages and songs going on not a bad place but I might scope around others to check them out. read more

Came here after a comedy show down the street. While the place isn't super fancy, it does the job! I don't need all these fancy things to have some drinks and sing my heart out with friends. It is a Korean-style Karaoke place and they have songs in English, Korean and I believe I saw that they added Bollywood songs as well. The food and drink list is small, but no bother since I liked the beers they had and was not hungry to eat. My only complaint is that the rooms get a bit hot, and that our system kept crashing. For the rooms, maybe adding room fans would be a good idea. As for the system crashing, they kept saying it happens once in a while. Yet it happened to us 2 times in a couple hour setting. When it did this, it erased our list of songs to sing. They said it could hold 100, we barely would have 20-30 before it would crash. read more

Came here on last Sat night, with a group of 9 people. They ran out of the larger room, so we had to squeez in a small room. We didnt mind though, since it kept us cozy :) There is a decent selection of songs, however, only a very small selection of Mandarin songs had the original MTV, which was weird. Typically, that only happens for English songs, but I guess maybe it was because it was a Korean KTV chain, so most of the MTV shown were Korean ones. Really weird. That said, the space was clean and sound system decent. They didnt serve much food though, only drinks and some tidbits -- good enough I guess, since there are a couple of Korean BBQ supper places around the area. Slightly on the more expensive side, but I guess its fine with a large group of friends! read more

Great place for cheap karaoke! I came with a huge group so we got a big room for $5/per hour/per person. It's definitely a better price than most other places I've been. They also have a lot of the newest songs and a huge selection to choose from, which was great! The only real con is that the drink/food menu is here is extremely limited....basically you only get to pick between some sort of beer and water/soda for drink and corn nuts or beef jerky or japanese crackers for a snack. I was pretty disappointed that they didn't offer boba and other tasty foods like every other karaoke place I've been to so far. read more

Good price, kind of janky sound systems. 10 of us were in a room from 4:30-7 and we paid $11/person. There was a 5-foot tall drum in our room that my friends a ton of fun pounding on, though I'm still not sure that they were supposed to ^^6 You can get tambourines from the guy at the counter, too. The machines were kind of hard to use, but my Korean friend could read the controls. I think there's also instruction sheets in the binders. Good song selections (Disney is hard to find, though :( ), extremely strange music video backgrounds. I think for one of them we had a bunch of white people mudbathing and sunning themselves in the Dead Sea or something. Scarring. But hilarious. read more

If I would give them -0 star, I would. Here is why My group around 13 people came in at 12:05 am on Monday late night. Our very first impression was this place is kinda small, even though we booked the largest room but not all of us can fit into the boost. It's okay, I let it go. But the main reason is the fat, black hair receptionist guy gave us hellaaaaaa attitudes when we step inside. He rolls his eyes while talking to us, no greeting, no smile, no thank you and useless. He leads us to a room, then when he walks out, he literally walks in the middle of everyone (esp all girls) without saying "excuse me" or anything. That's rude and unprofessional. He treats us like our boys stole his girlfriend or something. We ended up leaving after 50 minutes. Before we leave, I asked him why he gave us attitudes even though this is our first time here. He can't even answer and acted like he lost his mind. So ridiculed and unprofessional. Luckily that our group is nice enough to let it go, image if you treats someone else like that, you'll get jumped. Never coming back, and guys, do not come here!!! read more

I liked this place. For a first time karaoke goer, this was a nice place to go. Ample of song selections that was very up to date with today's top hits. The song selections are either categorized by artists or alphabetically so it's pretty easy to find your song. I went with a party of 4 so we had a small room. I wish it was a bit more spacious, but we cozied up haha. The microphones have a disposable cover, which was nice. Inside, the place reminds me of a house with different sized rooms. You can dim the lighting in the room and can adjust the volume etc. Also wished we could add/remove backup vocals. Bonus for this place is that they do happy hour on weekends. For a party of four, we paid a total of $20 for an hour--basically $5/hr per person. They have a food and drink selection, but we opted out of that selection. It's a small parking lot, which can get full during dinner time, but there's another lot next door and you can park on the street. But overall, if you're looking for a place to sing with friends for a good price check this place out. Super casual, nothing over the top. read more

This place is BAD NEWS. I gave it one star because i've had good times here, but the place has turned to shit. They do not record your kareoke session anymore at all. The staff was unhelpful, rude and lied about the time we spent there. Charged us $80 for two hours!!!!!!!!! WTF? Then sat there and argued with us that we stayed there 3 hours when we know we did not. I paid for the last time. DO NOT GO HERE. They used to come and tell you when your hour was up, were very nice to us and asked us if we wanted another hour. I was there in November and they still lived by this practice. This time, since we hadn't been there in a while, we REQUESTED that we wanted a room for 4 people and for 1 hour because we thought $30/hour was steep. This time they did not come and get us, then argued with us when we told them that we thought they would come and get us after an hour. One of the staff even knocked on the door for the group that we could see out of our window! but not us. the only difference? we are a group of white girls, and they were a group of Asians. They argued about the time we were there, even though they do not provide a clock for us to keep track of the time in the room on our own (if that's what they prefer now). Then they charged us up the ass for the time we were there. I let him know I'm not coming back as I was a loyal customer and I used to always bring my friends and family there. They've never treated me this horrible and I am saddened by the loss of this place. Anyone know of a better place to go to? Preferably one that records your session? Noraebang is "singing room" in Korean. Its not a great one but the people running it seemed pleasant enough. I've done my fair share of karaoke and this place could use a really big makeover. They owners are nice so I'd like them to succeed. Our first room had issues with the audio. The second room worked fine. It was fairly clean, and maintained. As with most, the sound proofing was not good (always kinda funny hearing other people singing badly), and the audio system could use an upgrade. They also don't have hard liquor, just beer. Finally the English selection is somewhat limited in terms of music. However we made do. The section for English songs was standard. You have some oldies, some 80s, 90s and today. Also they will cut you a CD of your session if you ask. Don't press skip or it wont make the CD. 3.5 stars. read more

Fun times! Hosted a fundraising event here and booked a large room, which costs $40 during happy hour and $60 per hour regular price. The rooms are large and very clean with two tables in the middle for snacks and drinks. They also provide microphone covers which, as a germaphobe, I was very appreciative of. The person at the front desk was extremely nice and saw to any concerns I had. The guests had a great time and the room was just big enough to seat 13 people comfortably. The owners record the first hour of your singing and hand you a DVD at the end. Copies make a GREAT party favor! I am knocking off a star for the outdated Hindi songs. A lot of them don't work either. I love that they have Bollywood songs available at all and hope that this will motivate the ownership to get more! We enjoy them immensely! read more

This place is pretty ghetto. Now that there are much better karaoke places within driving distance (such as Music Tunnel), there's no real reason to come here unless you already happen to be nearby. PROS: -They record a CD of everything you/your group sing and give it to you at the end of the night (free, upon request). To my knowledge, this is the only karaoke establishment in the area that does this. This is also the only thing that kept me from giving this place 1 star. Then again, depending on how you look at it, this could either be a good or bad thing! CONS: -Ghetto rooms -Ghetto area - safety can be an issue -No computerized song selection (yes, we're stuck with old school binders of song listings from the 90s again) -No food/drinks served inside Stop by if you're looking to have a CD of your karaoke night memories....otherwise, I can't really think of any other reason to come here over some of the (better) places. I'd consider upping the number of stars if they actually switched to a computerized song selection system. read more

My go-to karaoke place for the past 5-6 years only because there's not many other places. The one on Senter Rd was cool (great sound system and updated songs ftw!) until last year's shooting incident. Such a shame.. This place is alright. All of the rooms have adjustable lighting. The rooms are clean and sizes are fair, except for one super tiny ass room in the far back on the right side. My boyfriend and I made the mistake and came here in a later hour, and it was really packed, so we got placed in their last remaining small room, and it was weirdly cramped. It's neat that they also have free recording, but note that it will only record for 80 minutes. Sometimes they run out of CDs though,which I find odd because how do you run out of CDs? I would think they'd have some stocked away... The sound system is alright. Most of their songs are not MP3, but rather midis so the music is just awful, but oh well. Either you sing or you don't, right? One thing I dislike about this place is their lack of new songs. It seems they rarely update their songs. I would return 6 months later only to find the same songs, and no new ones. I mean, there are songs that have been released 2 years ago, and yet those songs aren't sitting in their binder. Why not?? I don't want to pay $40+ to sing old ass songs only. Their bathroom is usually clean which is really nice. I hate dirty bathrooms.
