Visited Camino on a whim while here from out of town. we sat out on the patio and were smitten from the start with the whole vibe of the place. Service was amazing. Attentive but not hovering. Our server offered us suggestions of other shops to visit and neighborhoods to check out while we are in town. The food was spectacular. We started with the watermelon salad and were blown away by the flavors and texture combinations. From there we had the Cubanski and were both surprised at how moist the pulled pork was, along with the crunch of the toast. Went here for lunch the other day and I was not disappointed. We were greeted right away with great service and a long beer list (I would recommend the IPA on tap). The atmosphere was a perfect mix of a bar/eatery. The food was much better than your typical bar food. We ordered the pierogi with beer mustard to start. I had never had pierogi before and wowza it was great!! The beer mustard was a good touch. My boyfriend and I split an order of wings and the Phat Tony (Italian beef sandwich). The sandwich was ammmaaazzing and I want another one right now. The wings were what I was most excited to try in coming here. Unfortunately they weren't what I expected based upon the pictures of the wings on their website. They were too messy and not super meaty. I still will be coming back to try more items on the menu!! I am disappointed that last week was the first time that I went to Camino since I have now lived in Milwaukee for over a year and only work a few blocks away. I love it here! First, the service. Everything on the menu looked delicious so I picked our server's brain about what I should get. He was super patient with me and gave me all of the typical fan favorites. I ended up going for the burger since that was his first choice and got it with just the cheese and sautéed onions. It does not come with fries, but it is filling! You do not need them (or maybe someone at your table has them, so you can have a few of theirs :)). My friends ordered the chili fries and the wings. Both of them were happy with their food, too. The inside of the place is cute and trendy, but not fancy. The price for my burger I believe was about $10 and this place starts happy hour at 3 pm YAY! If you are on the South Side and looking for a great bite and drink, come here! You will not be disappointed and in fact, you will leave feeling very full. read more

Get the pierogis!! Stopped in here on a Sunday night and I'm so glad I did. I was greeted by the bartender Charlie who is a very cool dude who does his job well. He offered me suggestions when I asked and was very accommodating and easy to talk to. I had the fried potato & cheddar pierogis (50c each on Sundays!) and the andouille sausage. The sausage was local, full of flavor, and served the way I like it on a bun with peppers and onions. The pierogis were outstanding -- without a doubt the best I've ever had. Lots of great beers on tap including a couple rare ones like Fin Du Monde (at time of writing). I recommend the Central Waters Rift if you like juicy IPAs. First time in Wisconsin and super hungry after my flight in. Found Camino on Yelp and decided to give it a try because they were open late with drinks. Ordered the cheese curds and my mind is blown!!! Soooo good, def gonna be craving this again and again. They have different food and drink specials throughout the week, but I recommend the cheese curds or roasted brussel sprouts. We headed to Camino for lunch today for the second time. The first time we went, we were a bit put off because it was super crowded and our food was sitting out on the counter to be sent to us for a while before we actually got served. For this reason we didn't come back for maybe a year. That being said, we decided to come back on a whim today and the food was honestly incredible. We shared the cheese curds and I have to say they're the best curds I've had in Milwaukee hands down (even better than lakefront brewery). It came with a Russian dressing that was so good that i saved to dip my fries into later haha. I believe they get their cheese from clock shadow creamery down the street. I got the burger with fries and my fiancé got the fried thigh sandwich. The burger was so flavorful and delicious. Definitely a top contender for top burgers in Milwaukee! The fried thigh was also delicious but could have used a bit more seasoning. I will definitely come back and recommend Camino to other people! The lunch rush is definitely crowded so be aware of that so the service was a bit slow but otherwise I was very satisfied! read more

Very simple menu, but with lots of options. Keep it old school with American cheese, pickles and ketchup or doll it up with candied walnuts, pickled onions, fancy cheese, the list goes on and on. And...take note...GET. THE. SIDE. OF. BRUSSELS. SPROUTS. It will change your life. Shaved thin and dusted with parm, they are totally the things we were meant to eat in heaven. And the burgers...shoot, yours could be totally different than mine, but it won't change the fact that it's a juicy, delicious patty that is cooked exactly how you want it. The first time we were at Camino we had a great time. We were able to sit at the bar which has a foot rest and we were with an old friend who we hadn't seen in a long time. Today we got stuck sitting at the tall tables with the tall chairs where I cannot touch the floor with my feet. Tucking my legs under a chair hurts my knees. So I had to stand or half cheek it and rest one foot on the chair next to me. Had I realized that there were no other options I would not have come here. The food is good. After coming here pretty frequently, the food is good for the most part. It's the consistency that has an issue. I would've given this place 4 stars and overlook the past subpar experiences, but tonight was another issue that shouldn't have happened. The wings are good, but have had issues. Once the wings were too salty like they were brined for too long. Overcooked and dry another time. Sometimes saucier than others. It's just inconsistent from chef to chef. French fries are usually over fried and just crunchy broken 1 inch pieces of potato. Not meaty on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Maybe it's because I come in late and that's all that left of what's prepped. Fried Brussels are quite greasy and there will be a pool of oil at the bottom of the dish. They no longer give the chili or soup as a option for a side so the beet salad is my best choice. It also can vary depending on who's preparing it. Wednesday burger special only applies to the specialty burger and not the burger that's on the menu even if they sell out of the special. The burger on the menu is definitely not worth the $10 price tag that comes with it and $3 extra for a side. Thursday social mac was not for me. It was like expecting chicken, but then eating lamb cause of the goat cheese. Overall, the food can be good depending on the night. Sundays have been good and this Wednesday was a miss. Servers here are a revolving door and you're lucky to see the same face twice. read more

The food is always fire. 4 star because the service has been iffy on a few occasions. Not necessarily the the staff, but the wait time, especially late at night. The kitchen is small and your food will take a long time to get to you depending on the time of day. Definitely try the wings, which are grilled. Korean bbq and Nashville hot, depending on your tastebuds, are both good. If you go on a Sunday you can get $5 off a pitcher and 50cent pierogis. Food I recommend: Brussel sprout grinder, beer cheese soup, CHEESE CURDS, kimcheese, and shrimp po boy. Food I'd skip: garbage fries (needed a sauce of some sort- their plain fries are amazing by themselves so the extras aren't necessary) and clam chowder. They have different specials each day so check out their website for some tasty food and deals. So the kitchen is legit a prep bench, flat top, and two fryers on the near side of the bar. If there is a full Camino you will have to wait a good amount, but there is a great beer list to keep you occupied along with a couple arcade games in the back. Anywho, the food is f***ing delicious, no other way to put it. Cheese curds are fresh clockshadow creamery curds battered before your eyes. Not really sure how sobelmans is considered a better burger by some than this place. They must kill the cows outback because Camino makes the best burger in Milwaukee. Wait staff is always great here, keeps glasses full and have some great people skills. Drop what you are doing and head to Camino. read more

This could have been easily been a five-star burger, but was almost a three, thus the four-star rating on Camino. Went on a Monday night and place was packed, definitely a good sign. Started with cheese curds and they were excellent, highly recommended, Russian sauce complemented them well. Had "The Burger" ($10 - 1/2lb, American cheese, sizzled onion on brioche bun). Cooked perfectly, great meat, topping, bun ratio; bun was nicely buttered and grilled. Overall, taste was great, 5-stars.... so why was it almost a three? Some grisly meat, chewy bits (don't know the technical term). Unsure if it was quality of meat or gristle from the grill, but that texture was very off-putting, had three little pieces, maybe size of grain of rice each, my son had a couple in his also, that's why this was almost a three.
