I have zero clue how it's taken me 8 years of living in Milwaukee to stop by here but here we are. Wonderful. I love the historic feel, I loved the coffee, I loved rustic veggie quiche I enjoyed while I was in. Love, love love. We stopped by on a Sunday morning. There weren't too busy when we arrived but became more so as the morning advanced. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte made with almond milk. They use their own spice blend and it makes for a lovely beverage. I feel like so many pumpkin spiced lattes are just a lot of nutmeg or cinnamon but theirs is a beautiful blend--I definitely tasted clove in there as well. Just lovely! For my breakfast, I got the veggie quiche, which was a delight. We took our meal and brought it out to the courtyard since it was an unseasonably warm October morning. What a beautiful space they have here. We just kept gazing up at the beautiful brick and sunshine. This is definitely a new favorite. Great little unique coffeeshop with a beautiful courtyard and a killer espresso tonic. I was staying nearby and the hotel coffee was...hotel coffee, so I was glad to find a spot so close that has such character. The whole time I couldn't help but wonder where we've gone wrong architecturally, from the time the surrounding buildings went up until now. It's stunning.. the attention to detail, the pride and craftsmanship. Really a bygone era, but glad it's so well constructed to be enjoyed all these years later. As far as the drinks, the espresso tonic was killer. KILLER. As good as it gets, and I think I love these in general, but this was such a good one. Such a unique coffee shop! And one I often forget about if I'm honest, but in a recent visit to the brewery district for a meeting I was reminded of its charm. Tucked into Pabst Best Place building, it boasts of old architecture. The ceilings and dark woodwork give it a very cozy vibe. My favorite part though is the little courtyard attached. Service wasn't the most friendly, but the coffee was delish! I went with the pumpkin spice latte, which was on their seasonal menu among other really tasty-sounding options. It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of "spice" if that even makes sense. Would definitely order again. They've got tons on their menu here, including teas, beers, seltzers, and spirits. The architecture at the Best Place has an old world, historic feel. When you're sitting in the patio, it honestly doesn't feel like you are in Milwaukee because you can see castle turrets towering over. The seasonal drinks here are one of my favorites because they aren't overly sweet but hit the mark with the name and taste matching. I got a cookie butter latte with oat milk which is a great combo. It's so delicious and creamy, I got it hot and iced and personally prefer it hot. Their cranberry, lemon and ginger scone is perfect, not too crumbly and all the flavors work well together. So much charm packed inside this little coffee shop. The ceilings! The stained-glass windows! The wood!! I imagine on a snowy day there is no cozier place to be. I stopped by on a fall day which was equally magical. I decided to try the cookie butter latte to stick with the fall spirit. My only qualm was that the flavoring was very sweet -- perhaps this is just a me thing but it was a lot. My friend tried the cardamon & sage latte and they tasted very similar despite very different names/descriptions which I thought was odd. This charming little cafe was the place I visited the most during my recent trip to Wisconsin. It was near my hotel and to the only place in the area that served matcha lemonade (which can be really hard to find sometimes). Said matcha lemonade was actually a spritz and it was fantastic. I loved it so much that I asked them for the recipe and they were kind enough to share it. Beyond how good my matcha lemonade spritz, I also loved their courtyard. It felt historical and quaint. Really cute coffee shop in the center of Pabst town! It is pet friendly so we brought our pup. The inside of the coffee shop has stained glass windows, and even pbr coffee. We really enjoyed the chill vibes and liked the historic classy decor and the super friendly barista here. I think the coffee is not like wow but decent. The seasonal espresso tonic was pretty sweet and the coffee taste was covered by other add-ins completely. The honey badger latte was nicely done - creamy and flavorful. The foam was frothed to a bit too thick and made it feel like a Cappuccino to me though haha. It was great to have a coffee shop that serves a variety of coffee drinks and opens every day at the historic Pabst brewery. We recommend you to make a stop here if you are looking for a unique coffee shop in Milwaukee. This little shop was the highlight of our weekend getaway. It's so cute, and the building it's in is so cool. Each time we went (we made our way there a few times over the weekend) the baristas were so nice. The second time we went one of the machines was broken, but they were so super apologetic about it, and when they got it fixed, they came out to the courtyard where we were sitting and let us know, which was really nice of them. This is such a cool spot to grab drinks. The history and architecture create a really unique ambience that can't be replicated. My husband and I tried the rosemary honey latte and salted caramel with maple latte. Both were made using house made syrups (big plus) and delicious. I feel like I'm betraying a good friend who told me to keep this place a secret. This used to be the gift shop but now it's the perfect coffee place, it's historic, beautiful, and until more people read the Yelp reviews, peaceful and underutilized. The staff is excellent except for the dog. The dog is enthusiastic and friendly but won't take my order because he's too busy trying to get petted. I don't think he even knows how to make coffee. Best Place us across from my work, so it's definitely a convenient place to pop into. I usually like to go in for a bagel, but the last 5 or so times I have been there, they haven't had any bagels or only one flavor (either blueberry or some other fruit) that I don't really care for. When they do not have good bagel options, I usually get an iced Honey Badger. It's $5 for an 8oz drink, which is kind of a lot especially when it's mostly ice. My biggest complaint there is that I went with a friend who ordered a 12oz, and theirs was also $5, so I'm guessing I've been getting mischarged. Either way the service is friendly, drinks taste good, and it's in a convenient location. read more
