Still generally good. The salsa verde was still a disappointment, but the salsa roja was good. I stopped by with a friend and we each ordered one of their bowls. The food was good but not exceptional. The chips were nice, and might have even been made in house. The bowls were a nice way to get a combination of flavors without ordering something overly heavy. Nice combinations of flavors, though the plantains seems like outliers in the fajita bowl. The service was good. Attentive, but not hovering. Showed up when appropriate. We ordered the guacamole which they make in front of you - it was very delicious and fresh. We also got the chimichangas and tacos. The tacos I ordered were made with fresh tortillas in house - you can see them making the tortillas on the grill. The service here was exquisite! They would check up on us constantly making sure our drinks were filled. They also had some upbeat music playing in the background as we enjoyed our meal and gorgeous artwork portraying the culture on the walls. read more

Was a little worried when Google said the restaurant was busy on a Monday night but there were plenty of tables to walk-in and be seated at. The dips trio was good (the queso was a standout) and the waiter continued to bring us chips when we ran out. The horchata, although mostly ice and kind of small, was very yummy. We came in on a week night and saw a good crowd. The beer menu is fairly basic but there are a lot of fun cocktails and sangria options. We started with the dips and they were a fun starter. The queso and guacamole were solid. For dinner, we ordered a chicken burrito and carnitas tacos. It took a while for our orders to come out, which was a bit confusing as we ordered more basic items. Others who were seated and ordered after us got their food before us. The burrito was heavy on rice and beans, not our preference. The carnitas taco was very filling. I only was able to eat one. Great drink and food deals for happy hour. Definitely preferred my drinks over the food though. The quesadillas we're fantastic and a huge portion however I think the Tacos could've used some more work, I got them with corn tortilla, a variety of meats, and it was just OK. This restaurant has a huge space so you probably will never have to wait for a table. I can see it being a nice environment for a large family dinner or birthday party. But I do think that there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the city that are better. read more

The ambiance here is 10/10. The drinks are fantastic! The dip trio was yummy. As for my entree, I was disappointed. I got the chimichurri burrito. It was 2/3 unsalted white rice. The little steak and peppers were yummy, but there was no sauce. I think I ordered wrong because my friend got the choripollo and it was super flavorful. Considering this restaurant's sister Mexican locations we expected more. The white chili was very good but the nachos with ground beef lacked flavor and the fish taco was too small to pick up like we would expect it to be eaten. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated but the service was almost slothlike. There are other things on the menu that encourage another visit but we're hoping for something better next time around. read more

We went to this restaurant for happy hour from 3-5pm. Walking in, the space is open and bright. It's a wonderful place to experience a meal. We really enjoyed the margarita and the paloma as our drinks of choice for happy hour as well as the dip trio. Fantastic options for the happy hour deal! Our burrito bowls and fajita bowls were delicious, and we decided to save room for the tres leches cake! Unfortunately, our server was also the bartender while we were there and he kept disappearing to make drinks for the whole restaurant. Camino is an amazing addition to the neighborhood! The al pastor tacos were so delicious. The rice and beans were great too and the chips and guac were divine. The red salsa was a little too marinara-esque for me and could be improved to taste more Mexican inspired. I loved the pineapple and mezcal cocktail so much. I never write reviews, but Camino was such a wonderful surprise, I have to. We went on taco Tuesday and each taco is $4..... 2 of them are a meal. They have plenty of protein and the corn tortillas held up until the last bite. The star of our meal was the ceivshi. You get 3 scoops placed on individual small tortillas. There were 3 of us, so it was perfect to share, but next time, I'm not sharing. Do yourself a favor and check them out. read more

My friends and I went to try this new place in Bloomfield! Starting off, the queso fundido was really good, def recommend. Only thing is I wish it had come with more tortillas. I really enjoyed my experience at Camino. I tried their lunch special which included soup, salad and a taco of my choice. I chose a beef taco. I liked everything! Why is that surprising? Because I'm fairly picky. But, seriously I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and definitely the waitstaff. They took the time to explain a few ingredients. They even stopped to just chat with us a bit. I used to go to the restaurant that was in this spot many years ago. They have updated it, but still kept a warm feel about the place. Went to Camino for the first time and was really pleased with the ambience, the friendly service, and the food. It's a very open space with interesting paintings on the wall. Doesn't feel cramped or anything. The only thing I had was veggie fajitas. I can't speak to any meat dishes or booze. The fajitas were delightful though and came with a sizzling tray of various veggies and even plantains. All that, plus tortillas and beans and cheese, was $14. When my friend and I were there (weekday afternoon ) it was fairly empty. Our waiter was really polite and professional. I've been disappointed in Los Cabo's and El Sabor, so this was a refreshing change as far as local Mexican. read more

I don't think there was any salt in the food. It was made well but not seasoned. And the salsa wasn't spicy. I'm not a fan of "spicy" but I'll try it. But even for me it was very, very mild. Everything was made well but, bland and not hot in spice or the temperature. Beans and rice were served it these cast iron like dishes but cold to the touch. Beautiful inside. Staff was pleasant. The place was pretty empty and after the food came I totally understood why! Unfortunately I've had food with more flavor at Taco Bell. The quality was ok, but really absolutely zero flavor. There is no way that the people that work here eat this food. So disappointing, the place is decorated nicely and looks newly renovated. My husband and I had to ask for salsa to give the food any flavor, for a very small condiment cup we were charged $1.50, also what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't give you a basket of free chips. My wife and I ate at Camino on a Friday. We had no trouble getting seated. By 6:00, the restaurant was full and we quickly learned why. The atmosphere is relaxed by upscale. The renovations done to old Del's Restaurant were fantastic. The food was great. Two of our party are vegetarians and they had no trouble with plenty of food open options. The food that we had was a level above many of the local Mexican restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. It is made from scratch and well presented. Our family dined at Camino as our family's college graduation dinner. It was perfect! The restaurant has wonderful ambiance, paintings throughout, our waiter was friendly and attentive. We tried many menu options including the carnitas tacos, tacos pastor, asada plate, trio dip, all were absolutely delicious!! One of our party had previously tried one of the grilled burrito bowls and said it was equally good. For drinks we tried the mojito mocktail, bella luna, just lychee and for dessert the churro bowl served with chocolate ice cream. Y'all, we flew in from San Antonio, TX so we're used to great Mexican food options and this place was top notch!!! The food was great!! The drinks as well and the churros for dessert were perfect! Ordered a bogo steak and shrimp fajita. Only received 1 order. There were no fajita shells included. The food tasted ok, it was seasoned ok, but I received 80% peppers/onion blend and 6 pieces of shrimp and very little beef strips. Also ordered 2 fish tacos. I live 5 minutes away and when my food was delivered the tacos were very soggy , the fish was not krispy, one shell was ripped apart at the bottom so I had to throw it away. The other fish taco was tasteless and very soggy. I also received a bowl of black beans which were bland and I threw away. Another pan with my sides for the fajitas ( rice, shredded lettuce, pico, tiny amount of blended cheese and a dollop of sour cream) the rice has no taste, I threw it away also.. I also for some reason received a tin of pinto beans/ rice... both tasteless and bland, threw it away. I picked out the beef/shrimp in the fajitas and just ate them outright, since I had no shells to assemble a fajita. I also bought a bogo chips/salsa which tasted ok and fresh. I don't think I'll order here again.. I felt ripped off , food was missing , and I fed the trash can more than I fed my belly.. too bad...... read more
