From the moment you walk in, the experience is different. If there's a wait, you can help yourself to a complimentary cheese and dip tray while you wait for your table. Even if you're seated right away, you can still grab a plate for your table. It's such a nice touch that you don't see very often anymore. Their beer and cocktail selection is fantastic and changes with the seasons, so there's always something new to try. Then the famous homemade dinner rolls arrive and they're so good they put Texas Roadhouse rolls to shame! For an appetizer, we ordered the Mexican street corn dip. It had just the right amount of spice and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the blackened fish tacos, I ordered the Asian tuna bowl, and my daughter got the same bowl with salmon. Every dish was cooked perfectly, fresh, and full of flavor. Just when you think the meal is over, they come around after you pay with a heaping scoop of homemade white chocolate. It's another thoughtful touch that makes the experience memorable. The prices were more than fair, the portions were just right, and the service was excellent. Restaurants like this where you truly feel welcomed and can enjoy a genuine family dining experience are becoming harder and harder to find. 5/5 stars. The Common Man is an absolute must-try if you're visiting Lincoln or the White Mountains. We'll definitely be back!

I usually find restaurants attached to hotels to be quite mediocre at best. Not in this case!!…read more Brittany's Cafe was a delightful surprise to have within steps of my room. Having stayed two nights at the Kancamagus Lodge, I found myself compelled to eat breakfast here both mornings. Brittanny's Cafe is a small, country-style restaurant located within the Kancamagus Lodge Main Building. Attached is an outdoor patio for dining in fair weather. In addition, a wall of windows allow views of the indoor pool facilities at this establishment. Upon entering, a hostess immediately sat us, provided us with menus, and took drink orders to begin the meal. The menu offers a variety of options ranging from omelets, pancakes, french toast, etc. Apparently known for their unique omelet ingredients, I opted to test out the relatively tame bacon, ham, and sausage omelet. The bf tried out one mixed with peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and more! Unlike many places who dice their ingredients into itty bitty pieces, these omelets are filled with largely sliced portions. In a few words, they were fresh, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. Day two, I ordered the pancakes with bacon, home fries, and toast. The pancakes were fluffy, light, and completely hit the spot. Bacon was cooked to near crispiness, home fries soft, flavorful, and plentiful. Lastly, the thickly sliced toast with butter was a perfect way to round out the meal. Bottomless cups of coffee made it a little easier to get going in the morning and search out the adventures easily found around every corner in NH. Service was quick and efficient, waitresses personable and accommodating. Almost all options on the menu were under $10. I wish I had the opportunity to eat here for dinner (as they do not appear to serve lunch) but will certainly keep this place in mind if I am to ever return in the future.

Our table was very sticky and the restaurant had a strange musty smell.. Possibly due to the restaurant being next to the hotel pool? The French toast was delicious and huge but I didn't love the bitter berry sauce on it. However the side of sausage was delicious. My boyfriend got Brittany's big breakfast and enjoyed it though his eggs weren't cooked the way he asked. Lastly my water had a strong taste and most water I've had doesn't taste like that.. Overall we didn't love this place but also didn't get them! Would definitely recommend this place if you don't want to deal with a long line on a busy day!

Very spacious inside with tables and booths of all sizes, a very long bar, and also an outside patio area. Gets quite busy so may expect a wait. The menu has some classic appetizers and some choices for handhelds or entrees. The cocktail menu has a good variety as well, and a good selection of beer drafts on tap. Had the turkey melt, which had raspberry jam and was quite tasty. Quite a large wrap and you get a massive portion of fries too! Also had the Mac n cheese and it was very heavy and cheesy in a big skillet. All the staff are just so welcoming and awesome, we loved our bartenders and server and they made our visit great. Thanks

She had such amazing energy--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there. She was absolutely fantastic and really helped set the tone for the entire visit. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere and plenty of character. Service throughout our meal was excellent, and everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, we tried the Brisket Sandwich and the Maple Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and both were fantastic. The brisket was flavorful and satisfying, while the maple buffalo chicken had an awesome combination of sweet and spicy flavors. And if you're a beer lover, you'll definitely appreciate the selection here. They have a ton of beers on tap, with plenty of options to choose from. Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere, and an incredibly welcoming team. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to! Especially after the long hikes we have.

But all staff in general is. It took 20 mins for us to be seated while whole place was empty. We wanted to use coupons that came with our stay and they told us at-least 6 different combinations of conditions to be met in order to claim coupons. Then kept adding and changing conditions based on menu items we were selecting. At one point the conversation was argumentative and BTW we had 5 kids in our party who were hungry and this guy was taking forever to even take our order in a restaurant that was empty. We returned In the night for dinner menu as there was no other option but the place was busy. We weee sent in 3 different directions to order take out food for kids. We gave up and left. There were about 4 parties in the restaurant at any time, and at least 4 workers (host, waitress, bartender, cook), so really no excuse. The bartender went and sat down at a table with 4 women and was very blatantly hitting on them, even though they were visibly uncomfortable. Eventually the waitress had to tell him that he had drinks to make. Our entire visit was nearly 3 hours due to how slow it was. My drink was awful when I got it - a supposed mojito tasted of rancid lime of club soda. I took one sip and asked my partner to try it, who said it tasted medicinal. Our waitress didn't come around again til our food was ready, which by that point, I didn't want a replacement drink, so she just took it away. The food we got was barely warm and not good. I like a medium rare steak but it was still cold in the middle. My date had the prime rib which seemed better, but I had lost my appetite. When the waitress came around, she asked if we wanted dessert, but honestly, I couldn't stand to be there any longer. We got the check and the drink she said she'd take off was still on there and she said she couldn't change it but if we charge it to the room, we could dispute it with the front desk. So that we did. They took the entire cost of the check off our bill after hearing about the experience we had. Long story short, even the coupons do NOT make this place worth eating at.

Service was slow, there didn't seem to be enough staff as was the case everywhere we went in the No. Conway area over the 4 days we were up there. My husband ordered the fish sandwich and got the chicken sandwich (with tarter sauce). It took about 20 minutes for our waiter to return to check on us, at which time the problem was corrected quickly. Everybody else was pretty much done eating while my husband tried to quickly eat his meal. The rest of the food everybody ordered was good, the grandchildren were happy with their kids meals. Drinks were good, but again it took a long time for them to arrive. There just doesn't seem to be enough help in any of the food service establishments up there. Wait staff were running ragged everywhere we went. I don't blame the workers or the establishments, it's just a commentary on how much help there is available. If you go, just pack your patience and don't wait until anybody is hangry!!
