Camp Bow Wow is amazing. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating but my dog literally pulls me to get inside. Once he realizes that we're headed to Camp Bow Wow he perks up and his tail starts to wag ferociously. When I pick him up, he gets a final burst of energy when he sees me and for the ride home, but once we get in the house, he's tired. Dog tired - won't move even if you're pushing him tired. So tired that he won't wake me in the morning for breakfast (and that's saying something because he's a Labrador). TL;DR - Camp Bow Wow is the place for happy and tired pups. read more

I can't say enough good things about camp bow wow central location, its staff and owners. From day 1 they have been kind, genuine and attentive to our needs as puppy parents and to our lil gal, Millie. It seemed like from the start they took a real effort to get to know our pup and us. By the 2nd time in there the entire staff new our pup right when she walked in. Millie is always excited when she gets out of the car and sees that we're at camp bow wow, and while she's there the staff does a great job of monitoring her energy level and giving her naps when needed. By the time she gets home she sleeps easy but isn't totally exhausted from the day. I highly recommend this camp bow wow location and if you're anywhere near this area and need puppy day care you'd be making a mistake to not try this place out. I absolutely LOVE this place! The price is reasonable, actually equal to what I was about to start paying for a dog walker (for 1 30 minute walk a day). Camp Bow Wow has huge CLEAN play yards and other dogs to help keep mine social. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they know her by name and have even taught her a few commands. My dog has come here pretty regularly for the past while. She's not the sort that is usually very keen to be separated from me, especially to be with strangers. But she's come to really like coming here. Still anxious to be separated but much more eager and excited about coming; which tells me she likes being here! The staff has always been very friendly to both of us. I almost always stop by without an appointment (don't know how much they mind that) and they made a point of telling me to call ahead on a holiday weekend so I would be sure of a spot rather than being left high and dry with no where to drop my dog off. Friendly, personable staff, and Shellie always responds so quickly!Most of all, I feel that my dog is safe there. I interviewed several doggy day cares before choosing this one, and like that I can see the dogs outside and can check in on my pup on camera. Izzy gets excited to come here, and it's also cool that when I pick her up the staff seems to know who she is, despite having so many dogs! Never had an issue with booking, canceling, or any dog stays. Also, there was once where I needed to get Izzy in and they worked with me on a last minute reservation which was really appreciated.Also I find that their baths are better than most. Better price and also Izzy comes home smelling fresh and good for days. She did jump out of the tub once while in their care and was limping, and the staff called to let me know. I very much appreciated this honesty and wasn't upset because I understand things happen and it impressed me that they let me know right away, if at all. I don't think all places would do that. Highly recommend! On that note, Izzy and I are moving out of state in a few weeks and will miss this place but will make sure to get a good day care day booked on our next visit. I'm sure these people love dogs and take really good care of the animals, but this has GOT to be the most unprofessionally run business I've run across in a while. To make a long story short, they leave a ditzy 18 year old girl in charge who screwed up my reservation and then LIED to the manager about it and blamed me. However, what surprised me more is that they took her word over mine and I ended up with no boarding reservation after making one weeks in advance. I was beyond furious and stuck scrambling around trying to find a place to board my dogs.... Not to mention my friend was fired from here because one of the other employees (another 18 year old) forgot to call her and tell her she needed her to come into work and cover a shift and then blamed her when she didn't show up.... bottom line: The management here is extremely questionable, rude and will do anything they can to save their own ass, even if that means screwing over their customers and even fellow employees! read more

Bummer, I thought I was going to fall in love with this place solely for the name alone--Camp Bow Wow--how fun is that?? I went off the reviews on here along with friends who have been to other Camp Bow Wow locations and thought it was going to be a stellar experience with workers with tons of enthusiasm. I spoke with one woman on the phone (I wanna say her name was Shelley?) about boarding my little poodle-chihuahua mix and she gave me the low down on the process and said he had to come in for an "interview" that would last a couple of hours, mostly to see how he socialized with other dogs. I dropped him off before going to work and they said I could leave him there all day free of charge which I thought was pretty cool of them. They said there weren't a lot of small dogs coming in that day which bummed me out since I wanted him to play with other pups his size and the play area where they play is rocks which irritated his paws (may be good for bigger dogs but maybe reconsider for the smaller ones). The setting plays well into the area it's in, which is industrial so it was a little too tough and gruff for my liking, but maybe to others that doesn't matter. He passed his interview, the two people working there were friendly enough but didn't ask if I wanted to proceed with boarding. So I asked them to book an appointment for a weekend. I couldn't view their puppy cam while I was gone (I was looking forward to this because--hello--puppies!!!) and when I picked him up the girl didn't say he did well, had fun or whatever. It was my first time boarding then and I would have liked some information but it just like homegirl was more preoccupied with cleaning and getting out of there. She didn't thank me for coming in or anything, just gave me my dog, charged my card and that was that. I will not be coming back here. read more

A pal of mine works at Camp Bow Wow part time, and she loves her job. For someone whose job is to be slobbered on, clean up dog doody, be knocked over by hairy ragamuffins, sweep up hair, and occasionally get bitten, job satisfaction is generally temporary- but she's been working there for some time and enjoys it. On an even more personal note, the people I trust with my pooch are few and far between. I've canceled vacations because of the lack of a trustworthy sitter, and I'll hardly even leave him with family for a couple hours while I go to dinner without a diaper bag full of toys and a notebook full of instructions. So, it speaks volumes that on occasion, I'll pay the not-so-cheap rates at Camp Bow Wow to get my dog a day of fun out of the sun with pups of similar size and disposition. Busy metro-area dog owners should consider taking advantage of the nice facility and knowledgeable staff- after all, many canine behavioral problems are alleviated simply by increasing their daily mental and physical exercise levels. read more

I needed a place for daycare for my 1 year old pup who has a lot of energy. I thought this would be an amazing opportunity. She passed her interview, then when i brought her in again, they put her in a kennel all day because she jumped the inner fence. (Okay, yes, she shouldnt do that at all). But then after the first time they told me she cant come back. Not a warning or anything. Women at the front desk was unbelievably rude. Called a few weeks later, told them shes had training etc and they allowed her back. Yay! BUT.... i heard she was doing better, only jumped the fence once, then accepted redirection. Awesome! Shes learning. Then i find out they allow big dogs and small dogs to roam together most of the day. Worried how the big dogs and small would interact. Today, i got a phone call that my dog was being aggressive with other small dogs, and its happened "everyday". I asked why was this the first time im hearing about it? And they were rude. Consistently xalling my dog a bad dog and too aggressive for them. Shes a puppy and gets excited. I told them that she just gets excited and calms down. Shes never hurt another animal. She just wants to play. They told me im wrong and shes aggressive and tried to argue it with me. I found a much better facility that seperates dogs by energy level. Thats what she needs! read more

We just picked up our dog Kona (year old lab/border collie mix) from his first-ever weekend boarding experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful...especially when our flight was delayed and he had to stay one more night unexpectedly. Cam Bow Wow came highly recommended to me by a coworker and I am so glad we've found a trustworthy place in Denver. Just wanted to drop back in as promised with an update now that I've been to a few other places. This place is, hands-down, the best doggie day care facility that either of my pups have visited. The staff are great, and know both dogs by name. They truly know the dogs' personalities, and always seem to be corraling the dogs around so that the "right" dogs are playing with each other. Our dogs always get excited at drop-off time, and are always tired from full play days when we pick them up (which makes us happy parents!). They seem to love it here. My only complaints are minor: I still hate the pea gravel that makes the dogs dusty, and the evening staff aren't quite as "into it" as the morning staff. But all in all, this is a great facility. Anybody that knows me knows I'm a super overprotective dog mom. My boys are my babies. So when I was trying to find a good day care for my boys I was very critical and had an extensive list of requirements. Camp Bow Wow not only met all of my expectations, they exceeded them. With two large outdoor play areas, clean facilities, friendly staff, strict rules and guidelines as well as multiple cameras for viewing, I was sold. You might think I'm crazy but like I said before, my boys are my babies and I have high expectations for their overall health and well being. After watching closely on the cameras I was put at ease due to the fact that the staff was interacting and playing with my boys and they don't let anything slip past them. If a "camper" goes poop, it's quickly scooped up and the area cleaned. I'm extremely impressed and pleased. Camp Bow Wow will definitely have me as a lifelong customer. This place is really great. I was reading the reviews for some of the other Denver metro area Camp Bow Wow and there were some really bad reviews out there. It sounds like some of them have grouchy people and bad customer service. I am happy to report that is not the case at this location. Everyone here is so friendly and I can tell that they love dogs. My dog Chcio loves it so much. He has the biggest smile on his face when I pick him up, it is the cutest thing in the world. It makes me so happy that he has so much fun here. This isn't one of those super fancy dog day cares but they also don't charge you like it is. This place is very affordable and the people who work there really make it. Keep up the good work guys! April and her team of camp counselors are wonderful. My partner and I adopted a 4 year old Aussie Cattle Dog who had not been socialized with other dogs. He is great with humans but nippy with other dogs. April took him into another pen to slowly introduce him to another dog who is well-mannered. And he did great! We have been bringing him here for daycare for the past month and he's made new friends! And now taking him on walks are easy and carefree than fearing that he will growl at another dog. My dog has been coming to camp here a few times a week ever since she was a little puppy, and her reaction to coming each day tells you everything you need to know. About 1 mile out, she starts whining and crying and her tail just about knocks the car door open it's wagging so hard. Then, when we pull in she takes off like a bullet into the front door, barking and wagging. When she sees the employees, she gets about as excited to see them as she does to see her own family! She obviously LOVES going there, and best of all, when she comes home after a long day of playing with her friends (the employees tell us each day when we pick her up who she liked playing with the most that day) she's nice and relaxed and more cuddly than usual after a day of fun. We've left her both for day care and for overnight boarding, and have had nothing but great experiences with the employees, other dogs and management. read more

These folks have been taking care of my dog Duncan for 8 years. Every time we go he gets so worked up and excited he almost jumps out of the car. Everyone I have interacted with at this Camp Bow Wow seems to really care about dogs and I would imagine love their jobs. Our dog typically goes in just a few times a year for overnight boarding and they remember her and remember her quirks and go out of their way to show it every time we visit. We moved a couple of years ago and there are several other facilities that are closer and more convenient to our neighborhood, including another Camp Bow Wow, but we haven't even considered going anywhere else. My dog loooooves it here! He is very social so it's the perfect setting for him. One day during daycare I saw my dog (on the webcam) jump his front legs up on a staff member just to be pet by them. My dogs stayed here twice. The employees are very nice and seem to treat the dogs well. BUT on their second 4-day stay, they both came home with kennel cough. I spent $250 at the emergency vet (on a weekend of course) as one of my dogs was throwing up for an entire day. Now both are hacking all over the place. My two pups just got back from their first day at camp. They clearly loved every minute! The owner was there in the morning, it's was great to see that she was invested in the business and well being of the dogs. Kaitlyn the manager was extremely helpful when I picked up the boys. She answered all my questions so that I could better understand how the daily activities are run. So far, 1 day in. The establishment seems great: clean, friendly, caring. Today was the interview process where you drop your dogs off to make sure they get along with the others. Two great things about it 1). It's free and 2.) you are able to watch your dogs on the puppy cam online to make sure they are socializing well. I am very happy with my first day here. I have taken my dogs to other day cars and so far all have been pretty good, but what's so great about this camp is: convenience; right off the highway, competitive pricing, hours of operation, bathing and nail trimming, bordatella vaccine on site, and being able to check up on your pups throughout the day. I can't speak highly enough about this place. I am a crazy dog owner and my rescue, Lou, was fearful around other big dogs. I found out about Bow Wow from the woman who adopted one of Lou's pups from Paws CO. The whole team at Camp Bow Wow have taken her in, treated her with such love and compassion. I can't thank them enough. Lou now loves to go and wags her tail when we arrive and walks right in and ready to go play. The team (which is amazing btw) there always reports to me at the end of the day on how her behavior was which I so appreciate. I love camp bow wow! I use their day care and it's both reasonably priced and an amazing service. The staff are great, friendly, and really love animals. They made my very large and very timid dog feel right at home, and put my mind at ease when I was nervous about leaving her for the day. I couldn't even get her through the door at other day cares but after a minute with Daniel, she was back in the play area having a great time with other dogs, and now she runs through the door with her tail wagging. They also give naps, snacks, and byo lunch to the dogs, if requested/needed. And the dog cams are an added bonus! read more

We have used Camp Bow Wow on Cherokee many times since we moved to Denver. It's hard to find someone you trust and by using the reviews in Yelp we were able to gain confidence in trusting them with our baby. Before dogs are allowed they do an "interview" to make sure they play well with others and it is a good fit. I appreciate that so much that they take the time to make sure all "campers" will get along with other dogs. The staff is so friendly and the instant we walk in the door they try to comfort our dog and instantly call her by name. They all seem to know her which goes a long way in my book. Also we like the dog cams to see our baby when we are gone. I find comfort in seeing her on my phone no matter where in the world I am. Their prices are very reasonable and they are also so good at making sure that our dog gets the right medicines at the right time. In fact, one time we forgot a medicine and they called within a few minutes of us leaving her to make sure she had it. They are a class act I highly recommend them! read more

I love love LOVE this Camp Bow Wow location and so does my dog, Argus. They accommodated us super last minute the first time we went and Argus was greeted with nothing but absolute love. While I was filling out paperwork, I could even hear all of the staff being so sweet with and excited about him. I got a tour and was able to see my pup getting along great with all of the other well-behaved dogs and amazing staff. And watching the webcams just made me feel more comfortable. One of the best experiences I had though was when I told the guy who checked me in the last time that my Great Dane/Mastiff mix had just had a huge breakfast, he immediately offered to put him in a kennel for a little while before playing in order to prevent bloat. That was my concern and he was on top of it before I even had to say anything! These people truly know and care about dogs. I'm extremely disappointed that Argus can no longer go here until he's neutered (which can't happen until 1.5-2 years with giant breeds) because they have a policy about not allowing dogs over 6 months not being fixed, but I completely understand it and we will be back as soon as we can. I already have a crappy feeling about his new daycare because it's obvious that they won't hold a candle to Camp Bow Wow. Thanks for everything, guys! read more

My dog got giardia from another dog while boarded here for the weekend. That is not why I am rating them 1 star. It is based on the fact that NOBODY called me to tell me that my dog was SEEN to have a bloody stool thereafter until I came to pick up the dog! I obviously refused to pay and they had the audacity to call me the next day saying I had an 'outstanding balance' that needed to be paid. I had to take my issues to the corporate office. Nobody from this branch EVER issued me an apology. I am not one to leave bad reviews unless strongly provoked. This place is a disgrace. Please note that not all camp bow wows are owned by corporate. This branch is owned and operated independently and therefore does not report to anybody. This makes them not accountable to anyone and thereby makes them deliver lower quality care. Be careful. I have had nothing but good experiences at camp bow wow in Westminster but this place is an absolute joke. read more
